I was really impressed by how aware of allergies and dietary restrictions that are. Seating is ample, the space is huge, and the service is good. That + good food + excellent beer options (their own beers and some guest beers on tap) make this a great place beyond a quick drink.

The flatbread was just okay, cheese was tasteless and broccoli was nearly raw. The beer was also just okay, I got the pumpkin, blueberry, cream ale, and Hefeweizen. Nothing to write home about. The blueberry was particularly bad - but the pumpkin was good. There was musical bingo which was fun, but they play the songs waaaaay too long, never been to a musical bingo like that. Maybe play each song for 30 seconds, this guy played each song for like 2 minutes it was crazy. In almost 3 hours they only had 3 rounds of bingo! Overall, I'm not running back to this place and didn't get any beer to go - rare for me from a brewery. Some staff was nicer than others. Shout of Aliya our sever for being very kind and attentive.

Our anniversary dinner at this restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary! It was an experience,…read morenot just a meal! From the moment we made our reservation, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, asking if it was a special occasion and greeting us with a personalized note on our table and flutes of champagne upon being seated. The ambience was perfection, cozy yet spacious, with a warm fireplace, perfect lighting, and comfortable seating that made us feel relaxed and pampered. Our server, CJ, was absolutely top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and added so much to our experience. We were treated to complimentary potato wedges as a taster, and I had the best Moscow Mule I've had in over a year--setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the bacon mac and cheese, perfectly savory and indulgent. For our main courses, my husband enjoyed a New York Strip, and I had the crabcake with fries. I also ordered the maple sriracha Brussels sprouts with bacon, which were out of this world. The portion sizes were generous, making it easy to take home leftovers for a second helping the next day. Dessert was the bread pudding with caramel butter topping, a decadent finish that left us completely satisfied, and the dark chocolate sea salt frogs that came with our bill were such a thoughtful, personalized touch; little details like that make memories. As parents of three, nights out are rare, and indulgence like this is even rarer. This was truly a night to remember. Even as a local for 19 years, I'm embarrassed it took us this long to visit, but I can now say with confidence...we will be back. Bravo to the entire kitchen staff and CJ for making our anniversary unforgettable. If you're looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond, this is it!

I would say the high reviews are based on the locals that live in the area. I hate to say it but…read morethere isn't a lot of great food choices when visiting the Poconos. As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

PLAN AHEAD: Make reservations, especially for large parties or people who have to eat on a schedule. You can always cancel the reservations if you decide to go offsite. There was a night where it was going to snow and the hostesses were quoting two hour wait times at 5:45pm. Service is slow and it felt like the kitchen was always over capacity when we were there. SERVICE: Kudos to the hostesses who have to deliver bad news constantly in a cold drafty hallway. Servers were kind and had good knowledge of the menu, but were largely at the mercy of the kitchen. We had a show to make one night and barely got the food in time, even though we were explicit in our time restriction. FOOD: They can sell out of items and there are no real vegetables on the menu. If you like fried bar foods, you're in good company. Nothing was amazing. Lots of beer on tap though. VIBE: the best thing about Trails End is that if you get a window seat (huge wonderful windows!), you see the last hundred feet of the blue and black trail. We got to watch people do little jumps, wipe out, and careen down the hill, which was more fun than watching the football games on the wall. Location is very casual. Prices are comparable with New York City, which is an unpleasant surprise for many.
