First, the good: the price was reasonable ($21/night) and it was easy to make a reservation.
This was the first time I'd boarded my dog and when I arrived I was asked to fill out paperwork with contact info and vaccination information. I was not asked any information about my dog aside from his name and if he took medication. There was no place to fill in feeding information, and I had to inform the girl working that I had brought food for him and when and how much he eats. I was not allowed to see the facilities where he would be staying, was not informed if he would have time with other dogs. I shouldn't have left him in the first place, but I did.
When I picked him up was given no information about how his stay was, if he'd had any problems, etc. He smelled like he'd had an accident in his kennel and been wiped down (?) and seemed very agitated. I had brought toys and an old sweater of my husbands for comfort in his kennel while we were away, when I picked him up they were still in the bag with no indication that they had been given to him. I imagine he spent the entire time in boarding alone, as well, but I wouldn't know since no one working offered me any information.
Overall it was a pretty typical boarding experience from what I've seen with my other dogs in the past, but the thing that it lacked was any customer service, personal care or consideration for the dog or dog owner.
At least PRETEND to care about me and my dog when I drop him off.
