I went here for a fill of my acrylic nails. The technician who worked on my nails did not appear to know what she was doing. She fumbled around with the equipment, switching things out when she could not make them work. I chose a cat's eye polish that requires a magnetic drawn across the nail to produce the cat's eye effect. The technician didn't do this step and when I asked her about it, she had no idea what I was talking about. I told her to just forget it as long as I wasn't charged for the process. Two days later a huge part of a nail fell off. My nail beds got chewed up so much that any time she put a solution on my finger it stung. I have a visible scab on my thumb from the over aggressive cutting. I will not be back. read more

This place has really gone down hill. Dirty and cross contamination of fungus! They have untrained staff that use the wrong tools like a cuticle clipper to cut your nails or a coarse file to buff the top of your nail. And they take the tools out of a weak blue solution in a shot glass never fully cleaning in between. The last 3 girls I had couldn't even paint a nail correctly. They don't clean in between customers. And why am I paying so much the prices are ridiculously high. I was there and it was such an awful experience with loud rap music with swearing and my nails came out crappy . I'm paying day spa prices for subpar work so from now on I'm going to a day spa. Don't waste your money here. And I want to add that there was a male customer with 3inch toenails filled with cheese and fungus and the girl was scraping the cheese out from under his toes and the whole place smelled like rot. Then she didn't even clean the tools or the tub! So the next unsuspecting customer is going to get his fungus cheese on their nails. Yikes! read more

I only have cons for this place. Had a bad experience. And I am not someone who writes reviews. But people should be warned about this place. -Got powder manicure and it started chipping within 12 hours literally. Got it done Monday evening and today Friday morning its chipped at several places. -The Woman just kept going to cut the cuticles and cut the live skin on more than two fingers. My thumb even bled a little. -Did not use a new sterilized set of instruments. Just used whatever was lying on the table in the antiseptic liquid. -Hardly any color choices for powder. Looks grainy from the beginning. If they don't know how to do it then they should not. Powder is supposed to last longer than gel. -They offered to do one finger artificial nail because I had a short one, and didn't tell me that they will charge for it. Ofcourse I paid in the end but if you are going to suggest something to the customer better make sure the Information is complete. -Their charges are higher than usual and quality is horrible. They were very sanitary, which is really important to me. The lady who gave me a pedi was so sweet!! We had a lovely conversation and she did a great job on my toes. The services are great and their prices very consistent with everyone else in the area. They give out lovely gifts to their regular customers on birthdays and at the holidays. Please don't go to this place, they are the worse. I tried it a couple of times thinking they would get better but no. Got a pedicure and only took 20 minutes, didn't do anything to my nails just color and they looked so bad. The man who works there treats the clients and the workers so bad. I called and because he didn't want to remove my eyelash extensions cause they were not going to get any money on that he just hang up the phone on me very rude. Another time I went they didn't have anyone there (clients) and still didn't want to give me a appointment because he didn't wanted to do it himself. I went to Oasis in Guilford for the first time ever tonight and it was absolutely amazing! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was stuck between two colors and another staff member jumped in to swatch them so I could see exactly what they would look like. I got to meet Helen, the owner, who was a delight and overall an interesting person to talk to. I got a massage during my nail service that was out of this world. The salon is decorated beautifully and was calming. I took a few cards to keep in my office as a recommendation to my customers. If you haven't been here before, I highly recommend it. They have 2 more locations that I'm sure are just as great. read more

Called ahead to make sure that they carried A type of polish that I like (powder) and they told me they did. They only had ten colors to choose from and a no named brand I had never heard of. The woman put my hands in janky heating mits with tinfoil and acetone on it and went outside to smoke cigarettes while my hands and nails fried inside the mits. My nails felt like they were on fire before she even attempted to remove the old powder gel. She cut me and made me bleed on 3 of my nails and two days later I'm still red and sore. It also took two hours! Which is way too long for a powder gel manicure! They also used all utensils that were not sanitized and she dropped things on the floor and then used them on me. I'm a hairstylist and I know that they need to be much more sanitary there! Won't be going back. read more

I love Oasis Nails in Guilford and have been going there since they opened about six years ago. I get manis and pedis and have never had a bad experience there. The place is spotless too . My manis and pedis last for quite a while. They try to be accommodating and will respond to requests. They honor appointments which means a lot to me. Some other places in town do not. read more

I went the other day to get tips on my nails and oh my. I was there for about 2 hours and my nails looked so bad that I had the tech remove them. I will say that both the tech and the manager were very very nice and both apologized and removed them immediately. They also let me know that I should come back for a free mani pedi. I came here for a pedicure during Covid. The salon greets you with a friendly smile, takes your temperature and asks you to wash your hands. Sandy's pedicure was exceptional. I found out she was a licensed massage therapist which explained the wonderful foot and leg massage I received. The basin was lined in a plastic liner, put on just for me. People were seated quite a distance apart and all wore masks. Different entry and exit doors. This was by far the best pedicure I've ever received and will be back to see Sandy soon!!$$ read more

Went to this nail salon for the first and last time today. I was told a manicure was $13 when I chose my color they said the one I chose was $18.... it will last longer was the reason for the $5 increase. Ok so I go for it. The nail polish was applied unevenly. You could see the line from the first coat. There were air bubbles on some of my nails and paint on my skin around my nails. I cannot believe what a horrible job. Will not go back again when there are better options close by..... due to the holiday today others were closed. Next time I will make better plans and save my money !!! read more

I've been coming here for gel nail extensions & fills for over 6 months now and I'm very happy with them! The salon is very nice, quiet, and never so busy that I can't get an appointment the same day that I call. Everyone is always welcoming and kind. I needed a fill and repair from the last time I was here. I had Jacky do my nails this time. They came out even better than before. Both of my thumb nails had broken and 1 other was brittle and broke when he checked them. He repaired them with UV extensions and polished them to perfection. He shaped them perfectly. Park is incredibly knowledgeable and sharp as is David. The lovely young woman who worked on me spoke little English and I did not get her name but she knew her stuff. I went to Oasis recently. I made an appointment even though there weren't many customers in the salon. They made me wait and took a regular customer who just walked in. After that they had me sit in the pedicure chair while they filled it with cold water, as they were speaking about me in Chinese, which I find very rude!! The Very Big Chinese lady clipped my cuticle and made me bleed... she was also very rough with her massage it felt like she was breaking every bone in my foot. After that she walked me to the drying station even though I made an appointment for a manicure/pedicure. I did have the manicure done, I must be a glutton for punishment! When she was cashing me out, she added on an extra $10 saying I requested the special. I never asked for the special, I stated to her regular manicure, maybe she doesn't speak English very well!!! The most astonishing thing was after 4 people had pedicures only one employee cleaned her footbath. Gross!! read more

Went to get a gel mani & regular pedi for my cousin's wedding. I'm very particular to where I go I haven't gone in yrs. Very particular when it comes to getting my feet done due to the fact that most places aren't always the cleanest or using sterilized products. My sister has been here is in Guilford recommended the place. They did an excellent job it was extremely clean. My gel manicure which was just nail polish w/ the gel Overcoat lasted 3 weeks & my feet came out great no issues at all. A bit pricey it would have been $65 however if you paid cash they take off 10% you can't beat that. I felt it it was worth it. Considering other places charge around $50. I had gotten my toes & gel nails done again for $50 at someone's house & literally that night One Nail have busted while I was packing for vacation and by the end of the week to more nails with broken they were might naturally long nails and the Polish was peeling off needless to say I did not keep up with it and now I have 10 stubby little fingers with no nails. If I decide to ever get my toes and fingers done again I would definitely go back to Oasis read more

My sister and I went here. We both felt rushed completely. The foot/leg massage was non existent for our pedicure. When I got home I had to re cut a few of my nails due to the nails not being filed correctly. Parts of our actual fingers were painted. They were trying to pressure us both with gel polish when we said no. They made remarks about my sister who bites her nails due to anxiety. I have had my manicure and pedicure for a few hours now and wish I had chosen a different place. This place charges way too much for the job that was done. read more

About three days later, the gel started cracking even though it is supposed to last about 2-3 weeks, so it was a complete waste of almost $40. Terrible job, will not be returning. read more

I have always been a fan of Oasis and have recommended them to other friends in the area. They are clean and friendly, and I have generally received well-done nail services. The staff is mixed so you're definitely most successful if you schedule an appointment with a specific person. Unfortunately, my last experience was a poor one. I went for a pedicure without an appointment and was given one by a young girl in training. I 100% understand the necessity of training new staff and support doing so. However, this was one of the worst pedicures I have ever received. Steps were missed, my nails were not cleaned or shaped, and the polish was lumpy and uneven. Upon completion, I was told that my pedicure would be the normal amount. Surprised, I asked if it was possible to receive a small discount, since the idea of paying $32 plus tip for an extremely sub par pedicure was difficult for me to understand. Instead, I was told that regardless of the quality, the service was $32 and I could ask for someone else to do my nails the next time. I will not be returning. I already booked at another nearby salon to get another pedicure tomorrow. Training staff is important and I want to support those learning in the system. But quality customer care is also important, and I think there are ways to balance the two. Just a piece of advice: find out who is good and book the appt ahead of time. read more

went in for a pedicure and was very dissappointed, there at least 5 workers present and only 3 people in the whole salon so they weren't busy. My soak water was so cold I had to ask another worker make it hotter. The gentleman who gave me my pedicure was rude. Instead of saying "ok" or gently nudging my foot, he gave it a light slap twice and pointed where I was to move it without even looking at me or trying to verbally communicate with me. This shocked not only me but the person who was next to me who gave me a shocked look. Although my pedicure started just after the gentleman next to me, I was done before him...the pedicure itself was over in about 20 minutes (including painting my nails) and my "massage" lasted about 1 minute. I was then motioned at to get up, I was left to find my way to the drying station myself and I figured out how to turn on the dryer myself because the other workers were too busy on their cell phones. I was then asked to pay by his female co-worker and she then stood in front of me until she was given the money and tip. I was never seen to again, I eventually had to remove the wrappings from my toes myself and never got the final coat of whatever it is they usually put on at the end. I will never go there again. This iwas their "regular" pedicure at $30. read more
