Oasis was indeed a mini oasis on what has quite possibly been the most beautiful Friday afternoon of 2011. Leather Lane was busy. I was starving.Oasis was open and didn't have a (long) queue.
I picked quickly through the North African hot and cold salads and filled my pot with some peri-peri chicken, sweet root veggies and steamed broccoli. There were also quite a few cold salads, as well as soups, sandos and smoothies, I just didn't have the patience or stamina to be indecisive in the moment.
Not only was it fast, not only was it only £4, but what really pushed me over the top was the *absolutelyfrigginincredible* freshly baked olive bread that was served with every order. It was warm. It was filled with olives and a few sun dried tomatoes. The kicker? It had layers of haloumi cheese that absolutely destroyed my summer-body diet, but made my tummy the happiest it's been in weeks.
