This was the worst hair coloring and haircut I have ever experienced. I went in prior to scheduling an appointment for a consultation. The stylist I had for the consultation was different than the stylist that did my hair. I brought my inspiration picture which was a balayage color process. I left the salon highly missed because my hair looked nothing like the inspiration picture but I did not want the stylist to touch my hair any longer because at that point my hair was ruined and highly damaged and I no longer had any trust or faith in her to be able to fix it. I went to the Argonne Village location and my stylist was Nikki. My husband has been trying since August 6, 2025 to get a refund for this appointment but the district manager has continued to give him excuse after excuse ever time he calls. I would highly recommend that if you care at all about your hair and the health of your hair, steer clear of going to Oasis Hair salons. They do not care about if your hair gets ruined, they are just all about the money and nickel and dimeing you for every little thing. read more

My first appointment ended with a brassy mess and the stylist refused to tone. My second appointment was set, but woke up extremely ill. I called first thing in the morning to cancel and was only able to leave a voice message, but through out the day kept receiving updates. I called back and found out that the stylist marked as a no call no show and billed a fee. I contacted the general manager at another location and explained my situation, she refused to help and said that I could reschedule and the fee I was charged could be credited towards any services. Horrible business practices, especially noting that I did my best to notify so they could book another client. Also, I was told I was highly contagious and avoid going out in public. What can I say? I have found a home after living here for two years without getting a haircut. I had long curly hair that was driving me nuts and I wanted a cut and new style but was having a hard time trusting anyone. I had a strong recommendation to try Oasis Hair so I did. Jay cut my hair into soft layers as requested (and made me laugh the whole time) and Charissa (who has master colorist status) hooked e up with great color and highlights. I had a hair cut here and a shampoo, and I had put on the website for an eyebrow wax but there machine wasn't working. The haircut went fine, it's a nice little salon. I forget which hairdresser I had because the website I signed up on had a name on it, but the person I saw was a different person. I asked them to do my hair for my wedding. When I went in for a hair trial appointment a couple weeks before my wedding, my hair dresser was so confident she could curl my hair that she told me not to worry about doing a trial to save money and sent me home. Big mistake on my part to trust her at her word. On the day of my wedding, she curled my hair and pinned it up. She told me not to take the pins out until the first reveal photos. I followed all her instructions to a tee. As soon as my mom pulled the pins out, she said "Honey, your hair is completely straight." So then after the wedding my sisters, who are not professionals, curled my hair and it looked much better. So their professionals can't even do basic curls. She also left a weird bump on the side of my hair and didn't bother to fix it. I called Natalia, the manager, and she said they "Don't do refunds." Not only did they ruin my wedding day, but they won't even own up to it. Now they won't answer my phone calls or respond to my many voicemails. I had been going to Oasis for about a year now, and always had a good experience, up until my last one. I booked an appointment online for my daughter to get her hair cut, and as we went to go check out, they charged me an extra $5 because I booked with a "Master". I had no idea that was even a thing, as it did not specify this when I booked it. All I got as a reply was "We don't have it set up to let you know that" for their website. I feel that is unfair to the customer, because I would not have booked with her if I had known that. She also completely messed up my daughters bangs. I have been using a few other hair cut salons in the area and finally am settled with Oasis Hair. To me, they are very patient to listen to what you need, pay attention and respect to you and let you feel warm and welcomed. Even more surprising, Oasis has really good customer support. Last night, I used my $8.95 prepaid card to pay my visit, but the stylist charged me the normal price of $11.95. It could be that she did not have the proper training how to use this prepaid card. The next day, I called the manager through the website phone number, the manager apologized and quickly refunded the extra charge to my account. To be honest, I did not expect to get money back, but just wanted to clarify the charge. But the manager did take care of the refund by a few computer clicks just like credit card refund. So I am surprised that they have a pretty good computer network system that tracks your account and each transaction. Overall, the experience is great with Oasis Hair, not only hair cut, but taking care of customers. read more

Walked in and hadn't been in before. Check in with a woman who took my phone number and my sons name. Waited for just over an hour with a four year old autistic son and a two year old toddler to be told that they were short staffed and not taking walk ins. If I wanted to wait another half hour she might be able to put me into an appointment slot. Why wasn't I told this to start with! I would have gone somewhere else. And then to top it off I wasn't even checked in to begin with. I don't know what the first lady did when she took my phone number but she didn't check me in. I usually avoid this chain because I am not a fan of their cuts but I figured a little boy hair cut I would try it again. This experience reaffirmed that I don't want to go ever again. read more

She should be more confident with customers because my hair turned out amazing! She did low light foils and a cut and it turned out better than I imagined! The manager here is super cool and friendly. She does a great job of organizing and taking care of clients. Last time I was in there there was a wait but they got thru the people in a great time. My hair always looks great after the service I receive from the stylist that works there. There are plenty of places that do hair but I can tell that most of these girls care about the client. The manager will address your concerns if your not happy and will always attempt to make it right. I have witnessed this numerous times. I went to Oasis to get a perm and the ruined my hair. I had the perm for maybe a week and then it started to frizz out and the curl was gone. Not only did the curl go away but my hair also turned a blonde tint! I sat in the stylist's chair for over 4 hours! When I went back to the store to speak to the manager and ask for my money back I was told that the manager was not there and I would have to call to speak to her. Needless to say my phone call was never returned and when I went back to the store, I was told that i wasnt going to get my money returned to me and was asked to sign a paper saying it wasnt their fault for my hair not taking the perm, turning blonde and ending up all frizzy. It has been a few months since then and when I went somewhere else to get my hair cut I was told that my hair was fried and they were surprised it didnt fall out. She is not intimated by long hair, doing what you want while still providing her professional opinion.She made me feel important and like the only person she saw all day. If I could give a negative rating, I most definitely would. This place is ridiculous. Reading these reviews, maybe I'm the dumb one for trusting this place was worth coming too. WEDDING PARTY FOR UPDOS.....yah this was a joke. When we called over 2 months ago to reserve spots for the bride, two bridesmaids, a flower girls, and the mother of the bride, we were told there would be NO problem getting us into have this done, they would make sure they were staffed for the occasion. Well this was obvious not the case. We arrived early, we had 3 scheduled to start updos at 9 am and 2 at 10 am, the bride got taken back right away....at which the second to go was the flower girl at not 9 am like scheduled...but at 10:15 am. This probably could have been done sooner, however, the manager who knew there was already one of her stylists out sick, didn't mention it to us or even try to explain what the hold up was....as we watched them take walk in after walkin back to have their hair done....again...manager looking right through us hoping the situation would solve itself. Even better....the girl taking the flower girl back asks how we want her hair....we tell her half up/half down with tight curls...she says with attitude, nah...I don't know how to do that, how about just in a pony tail with curls. ---What? Seriously? At 10:45 am they finally call back my mom.. work on her hair which looked horrible when done and when she told the girl she didn't like it...she said she doesn't know how to do up dos but the manager makes them anyway. ...seriously what? Then my sister gets called back at 11:15 am...gets hair done by girl who doesn't know how to do up dos...and of course.. she is right, it looked like crap. I ended up leaving at 11 am because I knew this would end badly so I went and quickly did my own hair . When everyone came back to the house, we spend over an hour redoing everyone's hair because all the curls had already come out. No joke. Bride crying, mother crying, flower girl very upset. Listen, I would understand if this was someone who was getting their hair colored or cut....but these were updos for a WEDDING scheduled that day. AS A MANAGER, she should have went out of her way to realize this was a big problem...it's not like we could reschedule....the Fricken wedding was a few hours away...the manager knew the day before that one stylist was going to be out but she did nothing about it, not even call us so we could try to make other plans. When my mom left she mentioned to the manager that her daughter couldn't even get her hair done for the wedding because she there wasnt enough to time, in which she relied, "oh yah...sorry. we have someone out sick" (I remind you that she watched this crap-show from start to finish and said nothing nor tried to help knowing the whole time they were short a person and the two people doing updos didn't know how to). And yes, we were charged for everything at full price even though 4 of us had to go home and redo our hair. Cheap hair cuts--cheap service---cheap attitudes. Michaela and Anela did such a great job on my boys' haircuts! I was thankful the wait wasn't long since I never called ahead or made an appointment. Both girls were so friendly and seemed to genuinely care that my boys enjoyed the process that my boys felt at ease. Under normal circumstances they don't like to get haircuts so I was grateful they both could relate well to children. My boys left feeling very pleased with their new dos. The online check in does not notify the staff that you have an appointment so you sit and wait while they serve others. Why did I even bother making an appointment. Total joke for today's computer programs. The staff is constantly changing makes you wonder what the hiring practices and working conditions are really like. It's a cheap place for a reason,I guess. My wife went to the Argonne branch on Friday 11/21 to have her hair cut and permed. This was after she had gone to the Sprague branch on 11/19, had her hair "permed" but was flat the next day. So after calling a manager and complaining, she was given an appointment at the Argonne branch to have it redone, for free. This all started after I went in to the Sprague store and purchased her a gift card for her birthday. I asked the woman how much it would be for a cut and perm, she indicated 79.99. So I bought a card for that amount. My wife was charged over 100.00 for the service, no hair cut by the way was ever done. The next day, the perm was more or less completely gone. So on try number two at the Argonne store, this time, they burned my wife with the perm chemicals, all over her neck, side of her face on both sides and her ears. We are at the hospital right now having the blisters checked out. They obviously don't have trained staff that know what they are doing, and now, it's costing us time and money toward medical costs. I sent an email to the salon through their webpage so we could discuss the matter, no response...... I'd say, go anywhere but this place. read more
