I booked a 110-minute Swedish massage, but my massage therapist did not seem very experienced. There were several times when the therapist simply stopped massaging for 5-10 seconds, which felt odd and interrupted the flow of the treatment. I get massages regularly from several different therapists, and the quality I typically receive is far better--and considerably less expensive. If I returned, I would definitely ask for one of their most experienced and most requested massage therapists. I also had the Glacial Facial, which I would not recommend. Ice-cold equipment was used repeatedly throughout the facial, including after products were applied. I understand that cooling is part of the treatment, but I found the experience uncomfortable rather than relaxing. My total was approximately $600 with tip for the massage and facial. I had a $500 gift certificate and purchased no additional products or services, yet still ended up spending another $100. The setting and atmosphere are lovely, and I may give the spa one more try with a different therapist and service. However, I'm not sure the experience justified spending $600 for a massage and facial in Cleveland.

Woodhouse Spa in Rocky River offered a relaxing environment with helpful staff. I was greeted as…read moresoon as I walked in, was given a rope and slippers and offered complimentary snacks and flavored waters. They do have fancier drinks available for purchase as well. The massage was absolutely wonderful and Jessica did a great job focusing on tension spots I had. The only negative was that I added on a scalp massage, but instead of that service being "added on" to my 50 minute massage, it was included in the same time frame, so essentially I paid extra for my 50 minute massage to stay the exact same amount of time, just massaged on my scalp instead of the rest of my body. I felt this was a little unfair and hope the company changes that policy.

The new location is beautiful and very welcoming, nice bathroom and seating area with snacks and water. We had the bigger room since it was a couples massage and it was inviting and relaxing. The massage therapist were kind and you can tell were experienced based on both of our massages. We did a 60 minute massage and they made sure to use every minute of it and made sure we both were ok throughout the whole time and focused on any area that we asked like back etc... Afterwards they gave us plenty of time to privately get up from bed and get dressed on our own time...no one rushed us. Once we exited the room, they had water ready for us and made sure we had a good experience. Will definitely be going there again

The historical building is a chateau-like structure in the heart of Lakewood. It shares a parking lot with St James Corporate Center. If you've been to the old location, you'll recognize similar interior design but be impressed with the new space. The new space is absolutely gorgeous and has incredible amenities. The first floor features a lobby, waiting area with velvet couches in neutral colors, and nail room. There's also a bar and exterior area currently with igloos! My favorite part about the first floor are privacy curtains where you can lounge in your own world between services or while waiting. The basement has Himalayan salt room, Finnish sauna, cold plunge room, and Korean scrub space. The Finnish sauna is my favorite amenity - spacious, clean, and perfectly hot. The space now offers memberships where you can visit the amenities. You can also add-on amenities use. If you're not getting any services, you can purchase a day pass for $95. Your day pass grants you access to sauna, cold plunge, salt room access, access to the lobby, patio, and bar. The space is really refined and feels like a vacay, worth every penny. The new spa location offers same services we all love - massages, facials, nail services, waxing and tinting, Korean scrub, and more. Service truly feels better than it ever did before. You get exceptional and personalized care. All professionals are amazing. I especially love getting pedicures from Heather, she's so friendly and an amazing professional! I highly recommend visiting this new location. I love Sacred Hour and can't wait to visit again. I'm thinking that I'll book Korean scrub next! I loved this service in the old space, and probably will love it in the new one!

I was so excited to try this place and went here for the first time for a 1 hour 15 minute head / neck / shoulder / feet massage. She ended the massage 10 minutes early, and cut it short. Further, the days following, and still today, I am in SO much pain. She twisted my neck in some bizarre way, and I'm not prone to neck pain and I've received many deep tissue massages and I understand soreness after a massage, but this was not a deep tissue massage, so there should be no reason for any muscle soreness. This is more like a severely pulled muscle. I've been taking ibuprofen and I am still in a lot of discomfort. Overall I would never come here again especially after paying $172 (they automatically add in 20%). If I am paying this much I expect the full duration of the time I scheduled and paid for, and also a masseuse that uses care and consideration and doesn't rush the massage. So disappointed! also, the receptionist wasn't very friendly but I won't even hold that against them because I do understand some people aren't very social, but it made me feel not welcomed. Ugh.

When I walked in, the receptionist was not friendly in the slightest. She even asked my a question, picked up her cell phone and appeared to be typing on it. Since she was preoccupied by her phone, she wasn't listening to me, and had me repeat my answer. I just found that extremely unprofessional. So I sat there and waited 20 minutes for my scheduled appointment, since they recommend coming that early. I'm not quite sure why... Finally, the esthetician came out and greeted me. She asked me about my skin. Then said she would leave so I could disrobe. I said, I'd like to keep my clothes on if that were possible. She said I was to take off my top. I replied that it made me uncomfortable and I've never had to undress for a facial before. She continued to argue with me about why I needed to undress. After a while, she said she supposed I could keep my bra on, or offered me to keep my clothes on but I would leave soaking wet. I already felt uncomfortable, and now there was no way I was staying after all this pressure to take off my clothes. So I put my coat back in to leave. She assured me I would still be charged the $100 if I chose to leave. I suggested that maybe a heads up on the website would be nice, so people might know that they were expected to undress. (There is a very small space on the website that says most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, but silly me assumed that was for a massage and not an express facial). She proceeded to tell me that people assume and just know that is how a facial works. Again, I've never had a facial where disrobing was even an option. She told me she's been doing this for 26 years and anywhere she's ever train and visited, that's the way it's always been done. I just felt extremely uncomfortable, feeling such pressure to take off my clothes. I went to leave, and the door was locked. She told me I had to wait for the receptionist to come back so I could leave. This puzzled me, since I could just turn the knob and unlock the door myself, which is what I did. It was just a very bizarre l, uncomfortable experience.

I am posting this review a full year after my nails were ruined here 2 days before my wedding day…read more At the time, I was too distraught and busy with planning to take the time to write this review, but after a full year I still can't wrap my head around this experience and want to warn people away from this salon. I had heard great things about this salon! While I can't speak to the experience of getting your hair done here, I can speak to the nail experience and the lack of customer service following errors. My mom surprised me with a wonderful spa day 2 days before my wedding. I was so excited to spend the day with her. We had booked a mini facial, massage, and nails. The day was several hours long and a lunch was supposed to be included, but the day-of we find out that it's not and that our package had transferred from the previous salon/spa. So a lot of this experience is exacerbated by the fact that we were completely starving -- we got there around 9:30/10am and I didn't get home until 3pm, so not having a lunch was very unexpected. But I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and also understand that they were doing their best. The massage and facial were both fine. The really negative experience was my nails. Please look at these photos. These were taken as soon as I got home and is how I left the salon -- breaks and uneven nails and all. I've never in my life had a manicure so unbelievably and laughably bad, and the staff knew that these were my wedding nails. I did not ask for anything out of the ordinary -- just a standard gel mani with a French tip. Of course with my nails completely destroyed 2 days before my wedding, I left afterwards and had to fix them myself, because I couldn't get in anywhere else on such short notice and my weekend was obviously already pretty booked. Now, my mom gave her card info in advance for the package. Since it was already a pretty high stress situation and we had a lot of other planning details to attend to, my mom called a few days later after the wedding to tell them about the negative experience. Oh, I also forgot to mention that they charged us MORE than the originally agreed upon package price, despite not including lunch and completely botching my nails. So my mom calls and asks for at least a partial refund for my nails. They outright refuse. Please please please do NOT get your nails done here. Every nail tech I have shown these photos to has been completely aghast at how horrible these look. I could have done (and did end up having to do) better myself.
