After a 90 minute deep tissue massage failed to provide complete relief for my shoulder pain, I found Oasis and Dr. Myles Starkman after a few google searches. My choice was based on the fact that he had an excellent website, he was located blocks from work and home, and he also works with major players like the Miami Heat and Miami City Ballet. I am saving a star for this place once my pain is totally gone. Treatment varies for each individual, and unfortunately, I've need nearly two months of treatments -- but it IS getting better. He must be pretty good if I'm willing to continue to pay out of my own pocket (not covered by my insurance). Dr. Starkman listens attentively to my exhaustive descriptions of my pain. He is super earnest about finding the source of my issues and he genuinely cares. His philosophy is that the source of all problems is ultimately stress whether it be structural, emotional or nutritional source. His goal is to find the source of that stress and remove it using a plethora of techniques. What makes him particularly special is that he has many years of experience and education. He uses a broad array of techniques (and devices) and seems to be on the cutting edge of chiropractic techniques. The best! I am soooo happy I've found Dr Starkman! I am a runner, I had an ACL surgery a few years ago and my back was in so much pain! I had to defer the marathon because the pain was so bad. Great overall experience and excellent and warm human care!!! I've ended up in Dr. Starkman's practice after a hip injury (labral tear). I was recommended Cranio-Sacral therapy and Dr. Starkman's practice was doing it. Before going to see them, I was going to regular physical therapy & seeing a regular chiro. The PE treatments for my labral hip tear were exactly the same as when I had a knee injury so something wasn't feeling right and I felt like I needed something else that would make me heal and recover (I am a tennis player & hold a black belt in karate so being able to be active in sports is imperative for me). From the first conversation with Dr. Starkman and Aaron (cranio-sacral therapist), I loved it. These guys are truly dedicated to your overall well-being and really discovering and eliminating the root of the problem vs just "treating" what hurts at that moment as that is never the true problem, that's just where it manifests. They're also not about taking your money and having you come in over and over and over because they will actually resolve the problem and make you feel better. I can happily say that I've been playing tennis and doing karate like nothing ever happened to the hip. I still go occasionally for adjustments but that's what anyone should do as your body needs it from time to time. It's just wear and tear. Cranio-sacral therapy is also something I'd pay all my money for because how you feel acter it is just inexplicable. And if you talk to Dr. Starkman, he's super holistic and can help with so much more when it comes to your body and overall health. I have never met a doctor who was more patient and interested in his clients. He has gone to extraordinary lengths to help me personally find answers when standard doctors were stuck on a solution that would effect my well being. I have heard him with other clients and he truly gives his all to each person that walks through the door. Oasis provides more than your standard chiropractic care. He looks at the whole body and can treat with acupuncture, holistic meds and more. Dr. Starkman is a chiropractic magician! He has "saved the day" for me numerous times. Most recently, I took a morning bike ride and stepped off my bike to find myself doubled over with lower back pain so intense that I couldn't stand straight. I knew who to call. Within minutes, I had an emergency appointment with Dr. Starkman. We tested my ability to walk and bend my knees, all of which were difficult movements. Throughout the next three hours he performed acupuncture, did a light adjustment (I was in too much pain to adjust much) and recommended some healing activities for me to try at home. We continued this for the next five days and I am amazed to report the results. What seemed like an injury only curable by surgery or some extreme solution is now 100% better through Dr. Starkman's gentle, healing adjustments. This is not the first time he's come to my rescue. I've had lesser intense injuries such as headaches and lockjaw that have also been remedied by Oasis Chiropractics team. I would recommend him hands down! Don't search any further. They have a great team operating very efficiently, Maidel at the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful. No need to be nervous about going into a doctor's office during the COVID era here! Maidel makes you feel super comfortable before your appointment by providing their safety guidelines and making sure clients have been safe prior to their appointment. I appreciated waiting in my car instead of a waiting room and was happy to see signs in place to notify that each area had a thorough cleaning before I came into my room. Highly recommend for so many reasons! Excellent prenatal care! Instant pain/discomfort relief. I have a condition that causes dizziness but after starting adjustments with Dr. Starkman I rarely get dizzy and do not require medication. Very nice guy nice staff when I was there but a complete scam artist. I went twice paid $250 the first session and $150 the second time. Barely adjusted me and put me on a cheap eye mask connected to headphones with a relax track on (this service was "free" the first time but I remember wildly overpriced the following sessions) Even told me sometimes I may come in to see him and he wont even adjust me at all depending on what's needed. Hilarious. I was really disappointed. Just a shop with a number of useless services at ridiculous prices. read more

I have never been to a chiropractor before. Today was my first time. I was a bit nervous but I had gone to see a Dr. about my tingling in my hands. He told me i had probably pinched a nerve in my neck. So I figured I would find a chiropractor. I got on yelp to help me find one. I found Oasis Chiropractor, I read the reviews, and decided to make an appointment. I called the office and was greeted by a very nice girl who made feel comfortable about coming in. I printed out the initial paperwork on his website. I got there a few minutes early to find parking ( Brikell Parking can be a nightmare) But to my surprise they have convenient parking right in the building, a tad pricey but on a rainy Miami day who wants to get soaked. My first visit was great to say the least. Dr. Myles is very warm and welcoming. He told me he could help, and that I was in charge of my care. He walked me through everything he was going to do, so there would be no surprises. He did some stretch testing. Then he put me on a neck massager to loosen me up. That was wonderful I might add. Then he took me and explained again exactly what he would be doing, before adjusting me. He kept talking to me so that I wouldn't be anticipating what he was doing, which I appreciated so much. The minute after he aligned my neck (he explained there would be lots of cracking not to worry) there was an amazing relief. I can't explain it, but it was amazing. I asked now what? He told me he strongly recommended that I take care of myself. How I wanted to do that was up to me. I pressed him with well, do i come back? lol He never pushed any packages on me, nor did he sell me on anything. I was so impressed with this guy. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Receptionist attempted to educate me on the process of physical therapy and what would be best for my grandmother. Apparently the receptionist is also a chiropractor. She rudely interrupted me as I was speaking on my grandmothers condition before leaving. They performed I have no CLUE what on her. My grandmother did not like them overall, they did what we could have done at home. We will not be back. She walked out feeling the exact same, not one person aided her physical discomfort. There are much better practices with much better hospitality, they did the bare minimum. I also overheard the receptionist boasting to various clients trying to make an appointment, on how busy and overbooked they are (Not a soul in the waiting room). read more

I have had approximately 8 chiropractic treatments at Oasis. I am amazed by how good I have felt since my sessions began. Dr. Starkman is an astute and experienced chiropractor. Just by looking at my standing and prone alignment he knows exactly what type of manipulation to perform. Equally beneficial is his emphasis on treating stress. On December 20, 2017 I fell directly on my coccyx after undergoing surgery on December 15, 2017 for hyperparathyroidism. I was in great pain and unable to stand up straight. There was no position sitting, standing, lying or walking that gave me any relief. I made a decision to go for chiropractic adjustments rather than see a neurologist for pain management therapy and possible surgery. I figured that if I got no relief after a couple of weeks I would go to an M.D. When I walked into Oasis for my first appointment I was shuffling my feet and was bent over in an L shape. The pain was horrific and every movement was uncomfortable. I have been traveling from Broward County to be treated by Dr. Myles three times a week since December 27, 2017. As of today, Tuesday, February 13, 2018. I am pain free, standing straight up and have pep in my step. I am so very relieved and thrilled with my overall health. I am sixty five years old, four foot seven inches tall and fifty pounds over weight. I have osteo arthritis, spinal stenosis and a lumbar five herniation.
