TLDR (Too long, Didn't read): I highly recommend Dr. Vivian. My experience has only been with fertility and pregnancy, but knowing how much experience she has working in this area, I felt completely comfortable and at ease with her treatments. I would be open to using acupuncture for other areas in need of improvement or maintenance in my life. She takes her time to listen and never rushes you. She has been flexible and accommodating with me, as far as scheduling. She is super sweet and really cares about her patients. I couldn't sing her praises more loudly. (LONG READ) I started going to Dr. Vivian after trying to get pregnant for 6 months with baby #2. Being over 35, I knew 6 months was the magic number, but I didn't want to go to a fertility clinic just yet. I found Dr. Littman through Yelp and scheduled an appointment. When I met with Dr. Littman, she listened to my concerns, reviewed all of my charts (BBT temping) and gave me advice on diet and, for me, I needed to sleep more. I started going once a week and supplementing with Chinese herbs and fertility teas. Dr. Vivian was trying to build up my qi, as I had just had a baby a little over a year ago at that time, and I hadn't built up what I had lost from the first pregnancy. We got pregnant after two months of starting acupuncture. I continued my weekly treatments, but sadly, I lost that pregnancy at 10 weeks. I called Dr. Vivian the day after I naturally miscarried, asking if it was okay to start up the herbs and tea again, and she had me come in straightaway. She said she would help me hopefully pass everything and help rebuild what I had lost, but she said I had a great foundation, because at that point, I had been going to weekly acupuncture for almost five months. We were so sad to have tried for 8 months, only to lose the pregnancy 2 months later, but I was determined not to give up. I started back up on Chinese herbs and the tea. I followed my HCG down to zero, and seemed to have passed everything naturally with no complications. I was temping and using OPKs and, surprisingly, I ovulated about 14 days after the miscarriage and got my period right around 28 days! I don't know if it was the acupuncture or what, but I believe it did help me regulate my cycle rather quickly! I've been on pregnancy blogs and see some women don't get their cycle back for over 8 weeks, some longer, etc. For me, it was almost like a normal period, very little pain, and I had to have no medical intervention in the miscarriage. We were cleared from the doctor and started trying immediately. I got pregnant the first month after trying! I continued weekly acupuncture during my first trimester. It did help alleviate the nausea and headaches from morning sickness, and I wasn't going to mess with what seemed to be working. I can't remember, but I think I was still taking some herbs at the time, as well. At the very least, it was nice to relax for an hour and indulge in some self-care time. I ended up with a subchorionic hematoma (SCH) right around 9-10 weeks and was bleeding off and on throughout my first trimester (which was scary coming off a recent miscarriage!), and she gave me some herbs to help with that, along with targeted acupuncture. The SCH resolved itself by 18 weeks or so. I went down to every other week going into the second trimester, but love going in for some much-needed relaxation time. I let her know what my complaints are, and she targets those areas. I've had a ton of back pain, and she's been working on that. I got a sinus infection (she saw me on short notice), and although the acupuncture didn't cure it, I was able to breathe during the treatment. I have found continuing acupuncture into my pregnancy to be beneficial to having a great pregnancy overall. As of this review, I'm due in about 45 days, all is well with my pregnancy, and I'm sure the treatment will change as we near the end. Dr. Vivian tailors her treatments to what's going on with the patient. My treatments have changed over the course of my journey. I want to continue to go postpartum, if I can sneak away for an hour here and there! read more

We are so grateful that this afternoon Vivian accommodated us with an emergency session for my 70-year old mom who twitched her right knee two nights before and having had difficulties walking since then. I recently started Longevity Acupuncture for fertility purposes. My fertility doctor recommended acupuncture, and I also did some research and found that it is widely recommended for fertility, including IUI and IVF. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I never believed in acupuncture and quite frankly, I'm afraid of needles so I was extremely nervous and skeptical my first visit. To my surprise, acupuncture has done wonders for my mood and stress levels. I have a very stress intensive job, and it works magic to go to acupuncture during my lunch break. I come back to work refreshed. The needles do not hurt, sometimes you feel a little pinch and other times you feel nothing at all. You are then left to relax for about 45 minutes (during which time I have Alexa play meditation music). As for the fertility part, I don't know if this has helped any as I've only had 3 sessions. I figure it can only help me. Besides, as weird as it sounds, it puts me in such a happy and relaxed mood for the rest of the day. It has also helped me with stomach pains and tight shoulders. Once I tell Dr. V about these problems, she immediately applies pressure to a different part of my body and my pain almost immediately goes away.
