I researched a hospital in China dedicated to kidney disease. I then thought to myself there has to be a doctor in the states that practices TCM. I began to search the internet. I found a website - WEI kidney Institute I was excited I began read only to feel like I found a solution. So as I was scrolling through the photos I finally come across Dr Fuentes. His energy emitted from the computer, I said he is the one out of a least 50 practitioners. I called made the appointment in late July for September 12, 2018. I did my research got my questions together. My wife spoke with Eileen and faxed her my insurance card, at which point she confirmed an 11am appt. Then I get a message that the appt was now at 3:30. I called Eileen who was stated that patients were not seen early in The morning that we needed to be seen at 3:30. No problem as long as I am seen. Its now Sept 10 I get call reminder/ confirm you appt call. I then get several reminder calls and text messages about the appt. I even receive one at 11am the day of the appt. I live in Kissimme which I explained to Eileen, and wanted to select the broward location, because although it's over 3 hours and over 350 miles away I was excited and willing to haul it. Well I get up early make arrangements to have my 11 year old to be picked up from school I took a day off from work and so did my wife, went to the hospital to pick up my medical records and on the turnpike we went. The anticipation was exciting to be able to explore a new alternative. After a 3 hour and 15 minute drive and 347 miles I get a call on my cell phone it reads Dr Fuentes on my caller caller Id, I answered the call its 1pm in the afternoon we are 9 miles out and 12 minutes from final destination when I am told by Eileen that they are cancelling my appt. I was speechless, felt helpless my wife yelled that's unacceptable. Eileen proceeded to say Thank You, Best of Luck and hung the phone up. And did so insuch an apathetic way. I was completely stunned since my wife works for a very established physician in Kissimmee and they would never have handled this the way she did. She stated the doctor was sick.
