I asked her why she was so hostile and in my face for a service i prepaid $150 for, and i advised that if it cut into my 90 minutes then so be it for him to set up properly. But that no one is Allowed up while i am not Home. I let her know her customer service was horrible for the fact that i was in my apartment at 938 and she's yelling and whining on the phone to me how i could do such a thing. She proceeded to hang up and cancel our appt. I then proceeded to text saying we don't mind if we lose 5 minute of our appt and she had already cancelled our appt and made the therapist leave due to her saying i have an attitude, i am entitled and immature. Entitled to the appt i paid for and waited a week for? Yes i am entitled to the service i paid for and was sitting in my apartment at 938 waiting for. Immature ? I was not the one who hung up on a client and then proceeded to rage text them about how they don't do business with people who have bad vibes and cancel An appt again that i paid for. Here's all the messages to review- yelpers don't waste your time going to someone who is foul, rude, and a horrible business manager and Owner. After years of searching for alternative treatments, I finally decided to try acupuncture. In all honesty, I was very skeptical. I am not a fan of needles, but living with pain at least 4 days a week every month is unbearable. So, after intense googling & web searching, I found Veronica's practice. I choose her office because it was nearby and her website shows that she specializes in women's issues. On my first visit, I was in pain and I was floored when my pain just vanished after one session. I considered that maybe it was all in my head, but after three months I am convinced that acupuncture has definitely alleviated my painful periods. A good friend of mine recommended this place but sadly this place did not help at all…read more Gina tried some moxibustion, gua sha and acupuncture for my elbow pain. While the heat from the moxibustion was temporarily comforting it didn't provide much relief afterwards. I would have left my review at 3 stars if the therapist did a good job but the treatment wasn't effective, however, I seriously and honestly felt that she wasn't very competent. I told her that one of the needles really hurt, and she told me that it shouldn't. Well, it sure did, and even if she said it shouldn't, it doesn't help, physically or psychologically. Moreover, she focused exclusively on my elbow, even though I told her how it hurt at other points along the meridian. Other therapists I had been to had felt along my upper and forearm, even the shoulder, and had relieved my pain by massaging along those points, instead of directly on my elbows. TCM views the body holistically, rather than just zooming in on the area where the symptoms manifest. I am therefore very surprised and disappointed that she so narrowly focused on my elbow. When I didn't feel any better, she basically just put some ointment on, did more gua-sha. She was very vague about what the problem was ("Is it the tendon?" "Hmm, maybe." "Or could it be the muscle?" "That's possible too.") and just ended the session saying that she hoped the pain would go away in a few weeks. When I left my elbow hurt more than before, from all the rubbing ETA: Adding this in response to the owner's message: If you read my other reviews, I am not a Yelper who go about trying to hurt businesses. The simple fact is that I went and did not feel satisfied with the treatment and reported so. I had gone to other Chinese doctors with the same elbow issue, who diagnosed the problem and achieved better results, so I know what a good treatment is. The best was when a doctor stuck a needle in my right knee to relieve the pain in my left elbow. Immediate relief. That's what awes me about TCM. Moreover, a good doctor, whatever traditional she comes from, should care enough to listen to a patient's treatment history, especially when what she attempted does not help. To not listen, and then turn around and blame the patient for complicating the illness, is wholly irresponsible, and in my opinion, bad karma indeed.
