This winery was recommend from the local B&B we were staying at. The wine here tasted amazing! Every wine we had was great. The back patio looked really nice and a great picture backdrop but it was way too hot when we came to really enjoy it. We will definitely be back!

First time tasting here. Beautiful view, great wines and service. Looking forward to our next visit. Cheers!

I absolutely love the wine here! Not only is the wine great but the people who work here are really fun! The owner John is a kick and when we were there he did a mystery wine tasting where whoever guessed the wine correctly, won it. It's nice to be around people who obviously enjoy what they do and want you to enjoy yourself during your visit. Every single wine I tasted was great. The only wine I didn't care for was the mystery wine that wasn't even made there! If I could have afforded it, I would have brought home 2 of everything! I only managed to walk out with some sauces and a couple of bottles of the Slug Gulch Red which was very drinkable and would pair nicely with anything. The only white wine I tasted was the apple and it was quite nice. http://www.oakstone-winery.com/

Our favorite place to wine taste, Steve and Liz are the best and their wine is amazing, good place to picnic while you taste and the kids can run around safely while you experience the best wine in the state.

Signing the I was here board if you will. Left my stamp. Cool to see past visitors places.

But the tasting room is open and spacious. We came for the Pinot Noir, but found only one in the tasting. Grenache Blanc, Grenache, Barbera, and Syrah were our other sips. We needed a prepaid reservation. Corn hole and bocce ball areas are also at the tasting room site. Private parking are.

It's unassuming from the front exterior, but we were pleasantly surprised by how sleek it is inside. And that wine cave for members with the enormous antique bar and handcrafted walnut tables? Simply gorgeous. Although everything I have tried on my visits here has been quite good, the real star at E16 is the award-winning pinot noir, which is also nearly impossible to find in this region! If you talk to the owner, Robert, you'll quickly learn that pinot is his passion (I can totally relate) and his partnerships with revered vineyards throughout California are how he's getting such delicious pinot noir to Fairplay. I've now been twice to the tasting room with friends, including most recently during Passport weekend, and each time have had a terrific experience. I bought a couple of bottles of their pinot and am also seriously considering joining their wine club. E16 is like a slice of Napa (without all the pretentiousness) dropped right in the heart of Fairplay and I am all about it. Definitely stop in and try the wines!

I very particular about my wines so when one I my friends mentioned this spot and it was new to me hey! Why not? Everytime I come here the staff is always amazing and extremely friendly and helpful. The wines are delicious. There isn't a bad wine I tried yet. They actually have some of the best wines in my opinion in the area. We tried three different pizzas between us, the pepperoni, the gorgonzola with fig and the daily special, which was hawaiian, though we sub'd pepperoni for ham. We did a gluten free crust for two of them and it was, by far, the best gluten free crust I've had. It was still crispy on the bottom, just like a regular wood-fired pizza. Flavor-wise, the gorgonzola fig was everyone's favorite, by far. The fig, cheese and spicy arugula was just perfect. We held the walnuts. Tracy took care of us and we loved our tasting. Our designated driver was treated to an Arnold Palmer, much better than just his usual bottle of water. I thought their wines were pretty reasonably priced, even for non-members. You need to buy at least $60 worth of wine to waive the $15 tasting price - I appreciate that they put that right at the top of the menu so there's no guessing. The tasting was really generous with good pours so even if we hadn't bought wine I would have felt it was worth it. Tracy took great care of us, answering all our questions and keeping our water and wine glasses filled. It was a wonderful, relaxing day on the beautiful property.
