Stay away. I went to see Steve Mah recommended by my dentist as I clench and grind. I was very clear NOTHING sudden or forcefull is good for me as I have several accidents compromising my lower back neck and most recently my left shoulder. He stated the adjustment needed to be from the feet up. He forgot about my left shoulder injury, hurting me more. Several times I repeated he needed to ease the grip but it went completely unatended. I started seeing Cynthia 16 months ago to treat whiplash injuries to my neck, back, and shoulder, and I can't believe how much we have accomplished since then. Cynthia is always very thorough in her assessments, gives insightful treatment suggestions and has been a great support in helping me return to the activities I love doing the most. She is especially knowledgeable about sports injuries and is really able to relate to those seeking to return to a healthy and active lifestyle. Hey, where do I start with my odyssey of pain? Shuffled from room to room with little or no lasting relief. Traction, acupuncture ( done terribly ) electric muscle stimulation and disc manipulation. I had high hopes for this place because Jason is likeable has good bed side manner and has good credentials. The first therapist was not Jason, and instructed me to do an exercise that caused me excruciating pain. With 2 slipped, ( bulging discs ) I got very versed and intimate with L 3 , L 4 and my piriformis muscle I spent a small fortune at this place, being at their mercy, doing anything to get better. I limped in and basically, limped out with mild results. The last straw was when Steve charged $125 for a report that my coverage was $65 and said pay the balance in cash or cheque. The best part was the new receptionist, who didn't have attitude. My recovery really started when I went to a dedicated acupuncturist in combination with yoga and stretching. . read more

I came for Physio and she was friendly and did give treatment versus just exercises or the machine like other places I have been. She was punctual and professional. She seemed unsure of what was going on with me and recommended I book with a more experienced colleague for a more specific diagnosis. This person met me for 5 mins, did no treatment, and said she would write a report. She charged the full amount for a 30 min session. When I met with the original person, i shared this and she thought it was strange. It was a different diagnosis than she had mentioned so after months of attending, I felt zero confidence and thought this was not worth it. My condition remained the same. read more

Review is not under my real name. I started coming here a few years ago after a herniated lumbar disc which left me laid up for nine months. I saw several physiotherapists here at different times due to the differing schedules; (Jason C, Jason L. Ian, Rhonda, Wensley, one or two others over the years) and they definitely gave me a lot of help in healing and in regaining mobility and strength. Although, I really didn't get along with Mr. Mah's vibe at all- there seemed to be some strange attitude there and I avoided booking him after two times. But sometimes any two given people can just have bad chemistry, the same way you can have good chemistry and I'm sure he does solid work for others. I have since been back with a few other specific injuries or concerns, and again was impressed with the accuracy of diagnosis, explanation in what exactly was going on with the mechanics of the affected area, and how to effectively treat it. I have recommended this clinic to others and would definitely continue to do so. Stay away from chiropractic- physio is where it's at! read more

Only have AMAZING things to say about this clinic! It recently just moved to 49th and Cambie and the facility is gorgeous! Very bright, clean and modern. Everyone at the front desk is super nice and welcoming too. I've suffered from plantar fasciitis and tendonitis to a point where I couldn't even walk and I thought I would never be able to run again. Thanks to Jason Lee and the magic of his acupuncture and IMS technique I can happily say that I am back at the gym and running again! I came to the clinic at 12 weeks post op TKR and had previously worked with 2 separate PTs while making little progress with my ROM. I've been working with Dimitri now for the past 4 months and am very happy with my steady progress. My twice weekly sessions consist of ASTYM therapy for excess scar tissue and various exercises for strength, balance, and ROM. Dimitri is very easy to work with...he is professional in every way and strives to keep my workouts challenging and fun. My sessions are often uncomfortable and intense but that is required for me to progress to where I am today. Dimitri is attentive and I never feared that he would bring me to the breaking point. The girls at the front desk are super friendly and accommodating, the clinic is bright and clean, and parking is easy and convenient. My first (and last) appointment with the physiotherapist Jason Lee at this clinic was on Oct 22, 2010. I have never seen so unbelievable low level of professionalism and disrespect. He was late 20 minutes for the appointment without any apology and explanation. After spending 15 minutes examining my problem, she showed me some exercises, watched me for the whole 2 minutes how I was doing and then disappeared for 20 minutes. I would comment, doesn't necessarily means that I was doing exercises all the time properly. I had a several classes with a personal trainer. He has never moved his eyes of me while I was exercising. It happened after several session of repeating of proper exercising that I made improper movement of my body and the effect of the exercise would have been zero, if he hadn't corrected me At the end, I had to ask the physiotherapist 3 times to write down me the exercise he recommended me. He forgot because he was busy doing something else during my appointment. Needless to say I paid for an hour of service and got less than half of that. I really don't know how knowledgeable he is but I am sure that he has a very bad working attitude. At least what he showed to me. read more
