Cecilia Ng was good too but she retired and Dr. Chan took over. Dr. Chan has been great so far and the staff is awesome. The staff are engaging, friendly and keep you informed as to what they are doing. Well for me, they are always letting me know what they are going to do before they start such as 'now we are beginning the cleaning', 'are you still comfortable?', ' I'll be switching to the scaler', etc. Dr. Chan had provided me with options as to whether I wanted Invisalign or braces. He put my info and scans into the Invisalign system to make sure it would work. I had gotten Invisalign which I thought I may not have been able to get/use as I thought I would to have actual metal braces. So far, the Invisalign is working for the front teeth, however my lower jaw is slightly off so the top back teeth are in a bit more which align with my lower teeth.

What's even more remarkable is that he was even ready to arrange for his staff to come in as well, making sure he and his team could take care of me outside of normal hours. It's incredibly rare to find a dentist willing to go so far above and beyond, especially outside regular hours, and to bring in extra help just to ensure a patient is okay. Dr. Winter not only resolved the issue, but did so with a level of kindness and compassion that is truly extraordinary. If you need a dentist who genuinely cares and will go the extra mile, Dr. Winter is the one.

Lower Right: Dr. Winter did not inform me that the bridge made by the lab was too long and didn't fit. Instead of returning it back to the lab, he proceeded with its installation by adjusting one of the existing teeth and slicing the side of another one without asking for my permission or even informing me. When the job was done, the bridge was sitting lower than the original teeth used to be, creating quite a visible gap with my upper teeth, and leaving me with pain, which I never had on this side before, and which he was not able to address despite many adjustments he made. The only response from him was: "Just avoid eating on this side." Common sense tells us that one doesn't go to a dentist to do a major work in order to acquire permanent pain. I would never recommend him as a dentist.

She had serious implant work to be completed, and Dr. Lowe wasn't the first dentist we consulted - but he earned the right to be the last. I lost count of the diplomas and certificates Dr. Lowe has for all the post grad training he has completed in cosmetic and implant dentistry. My biggest surprise was sitting in the waiting room next to a big time Hollywood star who had teeth problems while shooting a movie here. Apparently Dr. Lowe is the 'go to' guy locally for the famous cosmetic dentists out of Los Angeles. His low key and friendly manner is the same, whether he is working on an academy award winner or any of us 'regular' folk. In fact, occupying the chair beside the Hollywood star that day in the waiting room was a letter carrier in for a check-up. Our family works with 2 hygienists for cleanings, Viktoriya and Kelly, both are top notch and work with extreme attention to detail! I have recently completed phase 1 of a tooth implant process. It happens to be one of my very front teeth and you can imagine how vulnerable that might make you feel. Dr. Kwong is the dental surgeon that did the procedure and I was nothing less than blown away at how easy and painless it all was. I experienced virtually no pain during or after the procedure. There was very little swelling and absolutely no bruising. At the moment I am fitted with a temporary tooth as the grafting takes place, I will get my permanent implant in July. I'd say he is extremely good at what he does. And I would also have to mention the women who run administration, Michelle and Karolina. Awesomely competent and well organized, super friendly too. I've had bad experiences as a kid/teenager. For weeks, and hours leading up to the appointment, I was getting anxiety and my husband reassured me I was in good hands. My first experience was with the front desk, and the young ladies were lovely and genuine. They had my insurance set up; I didn't need to lift a finger. In LESS THAN 12 hours I got my return from Sunlife (benefits company). It was so simple and quick! The actual office is state of the art, quick, and effective. Everything including X-rays are shown up on LCD TVs in front of you so you know what the dentists plan on fixing or improving. I had Kelly as my dental hygenist. She was kind, relatable, understanding, and empathetic. Did I mention she has a great sense of humour? She was professional and made me feel super comfortable. She demonstrates a true passion for her role and her attention to detail was impeccable. She also explained what plaque and tartar was and how it could impact teeth and gums. During the cleaning process I was fighting to stay awake! I was so relaxed I could have taken a nap! She gave me the remote to the TV and I watched TV and relaxed while she did her thing. Normally I would be gripping the edge of the chair in fear. Dr. Ma is very friendly and understanding. She has a great sense of humour and does her best to make her patients feel welcome. You can also see the openness she has with the hygienists and the sense of partnership they share. The experience from beginning to end has really reduced my fear of dentists and have already booked future appointments with anticipation. I am young and wanting to protect my teeth for decades to come. They have really changed my view of someone putting hands and loud gadgets in my face.
