They played a lot of Olivia Rodrigo, Conan Gray, and Ed Sheeran, and a mix of other good songs from popular artists, they didn't just play popular songs either, they played Overdrive by Conan Gray which is VERY niche for the fandom :)) I would DEFENANTLY recommend you to go here!!

It starts at 11am, but I got here at 1045 so you can get checked in and skates ready. The instructor was nice, I didn't catch her name, but she was helping my daughter for a little bit. The class size was definitely bigger than I thought? Maybe like 20 people? Including grown ups to 5 year olds? There was another young girl helping her since there was so many participants. I spoke to Bob and he was helpful. Answered all my questions with honesty. I appreciated that. The bathrooms were clean. They had tables and seating areas. You can order food, cotton candy, dipping dots, icees, and more. There were arcade games with prizes. The place def gave 90's vibes! I ended up renting roller blades after her lesson, which was $22 (kinda pricey imo) and only skated for about 20 minutes with my daughter. But it was fun. Can't wait to come back for the rest of her lessons!

For years, I've always wanted to come and bring my daughter here. We finally came; I was…read moredisappointed because the ice was VERY wet. I'm talking puddles of water. The bottom of everyone's pants were soaked. If you fell, it was over for you; you're soaking wet (which happened to me). Don't make dinner plans after skating here; you're going to need to go home and change out of your wet clothes. I've been to places where they clear the ice and scrape/smooth it every couple hours or whatever. But they don't do that here, I guess. My daughter still had a ton of fun, even though she was shivering the whole time from her clothes being wet.

The ice is pretty sturdy, and the railing around the side is safe for all the beginner skaters out there (like myself) who spend the first ten minutes stubbornly clinging to the edge from fear. There's also a lot of bucket towers provided that beginner skaters can use to lean on while they skate. I liked that there were two medium-sized rinks, so you could easily transfer from one to the other if the rink you're on had too many people zooming around. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and overall it was a great experience! (Skate rentals are $5 and entry is $10)

Skate Escape is located inside the mall, right next to a small video game arcade. I was informed by…read morestaff that a "skating with love" community event was happening. There was no charge to skate, though the skating pass price of $12 posted online is not bad, especially without the $3 skate rental cost (since I have my own rollerblades). This place is quite simple. A small shoe cubbies storage unit against the wall, a few seats and tables outside the rink, a restroom in the back, socks and snacks (water, chips, gatorade) sold behind the counter, and friendly staff making everyone feel welcome. The rink had a smooth and sturdy surface, creating an ideal skating experience. It was surrounded by plexiglass, able to withstand the barrage of kids crashing into the walls. Tiny disco balls hung from the ceiling, along with colorful decorative string lights. Mainly hip hop and rnb music played through the speakers, a song list including Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder, I Want To Be Your Man by Zapp, and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough by the king of pop. The skating rink was small but never felt crowded. There was plenty of space to glide freely, and it was easy to dodge the kids. Even the skate aids didn't take up a lot of space or get in the way. It was a pleasant experience, a carefree atmosphere with everyone just having a good time. Skate Escape was a great option for a rainy day activity to enjoy while in the area.

The staff is very very friendly and the space is huge! Very fun and unique place to throw a kids birthday party, which we did! It was affordable to rent the room and they are lenient on the type of food you could bring in etc. place was high energy and the music selection is the bomb! We will be throwing many more parties in the future!

There's an outdoor restroom (2) and 2 porto potty as well. They're good for parties. They accommodated my sister in law for her daughter's birthday. There's lots of tables and chairs and benches. We had a big tent all to ourselves because no one else reserved. We had the tent for 2 hours and came 30 minutes to set up. There's lots of people but not crowded at all. You don't have to make reservation and just look for empty benches and set up there too if you'd like. You can bring your own drinks and food. There's lots of parking and their location is close to a lot of restaurants. It was very cold so I suggest to bundle up.

I have patronized other local skating rinks and have never been treated with such disrespect. I took a large group to the rink to in order to support my city and give my group an opportunity to experience an activity that many had never experienced. The overall experience was changed from positive to negative when one of the members in our group was told that she had two different sized skates and they would not return her shoes until she could produce the other set of mismatched skates. This person is very shy and unable to advocate for herself so I intervened. The manager and employee insisted that we must have the other pair of mismatched skates even after we checked and told them everyone else in our group had returned their skates. Then suggested this person sat by someone and they had put on the wrong size skate even though the person seated next to them was someone in our group. The manager and employee were unwilling to budge and demanded we pay for a new pair of skates ($125) if we could not produce the other mismatched skates. They were very rigid and unwilling to consider that they may have made a mistake when they gave out the skates. After about 30 minutes, I was finally able to locate another patron (they cleared the ice and asked people to approach counter if they wore that size shoe but I had to go around and ask total strangers) who also was mystified by the mix up. They never appologized or acknowledged the error. Because of this mix up we were late getting everyone to the next location where parents were waiting for their kids. My advice to you check the bottom of the skates before skating or risk paying for a new pair of skates. Tip for this owner don't always assume someone is trying to cheat you. Back in the day the customer was always right or at least given the benefit of the doubt.

Being that this spot was outdoors and holiday themed, it was crowded with lots of families and little ones. I usually go to Dublin Iceland for normal outings, so this was a nice holiday change. Also, the ice seemed a little over due for a Zamboni resurfacing due to the many divots on the ice.
