Fun time! WiFi is good, kids have fun, food is good enough! Great exercise! Clean an better updated. Party rooms are way too tiny now tho!

Jeannie went above and beyond to add magic to our special day. We really enjoyed learning about all the great things Cal Kate of Rohnert Park does for the community. The staff takes great pride in the rink and events. It's clean, has great lighting features, a screen that shows music videos and messages. Jeannie surprised us with an anniversary message. Looking forward to our next visit ...with the kids.

So much nostalgia hits me every time I visit Cal Skate. Countless childhood birthday parties of mine and memories have been made here. These days I visit Cal Skate as mother myself, bringing my 9 year old son who enjoys skating just as much as I did as a child. Sometimes I'll be a seated spectator watching my kid from the sidelines like my mom used to do. Most times however, I choose the funner option and allow myself to be to be a kid again, skating side by side and racing my son! Lol. Cal Skate is a Sonoma County staple for all families. So much fun for all ages and magically nostalgic for those of us raised in Sonoma County.

This rink smelled and looked like my childhood! What a great atmosphere filled with neon lights and fantastic music to skate to! The rink floor was recently resurfaced and smoooooth! For that alone, I would definitely recommend any skater to come check it out! I enjoyed the adult night here and everyone that attended was so friendly. It was fun exchanging skate variations and moves together and just having a good time! I would definitely come back to this rink again!

They also have a really cute selection of skates if you wanted to purchase your own!

I love this place. Roller skating was an activity I loved as a child but forgot about as an adult. My boyfriend pushed me to take the beginners roller skating class with him and I fell in love with it all over again. Jeanie (the instructor) is superb, she's patient, observant, and really sweet all around. I've been to 5 lessons and will continue to keep coming, it's for all ages and I mean a wide arrange of ages so don't hesitate because you think you're "too young or old". I highly recommend taking the beginners class if you want to do more roller skating, but aren't too confident you won't fall haha! I've learned to spin, go backwards, crisscross my feet while I'm moving to the music, and literally so much more. Do not hesitate to go, I've fallen back in love with this.

Love calskate! So glad we still have one roller rink left! Growing up we also had star skate which was my second home growing up and it's now a church so we are very grateful to still have somewhere to skate. Good is reasonably priced. Entry cost is still reasonable. 15 to get in 5 to rent skates if needed. Great for parties, birthdays old and young, lessons, and they also have adult nights Sundays and Tuesdays.

We LOVE Cal-Skate! I've been coming here since I was a kid & now bring my children. The staff is friendly, the music is good, and the skating is fun. The best part? Cal-Skate's "Skate & Donate" nights that we attend with our elementary school- with Cal-Skate giving a portion of the proceeds back to our school. A night out with all your class-mates roller skating is the best! And- they even let our school mascot Penny join in on the fun. We appreciate Cal-Skate and all they do for our community- from offering a joyous indoor activity to supporting our schools, our community should be proud that Cal-Skate calls Sonoma County home.

    The new floor, so smooth!

The whole rink is completely redone! Wow! The floor is amazing! The music was vibing, the disco ball spinning! They even redid the games! It's amazing, I have been coming here since I was a kid, we even rented it out when my son turned 10 for his birthday party and another party with friends in our 20s. It's so great to see cal skate continuing to thrive! And the remodel is gorgeous! Clean! The bathrooms are not at all what I remember in elementary school and 7th grade, lol! They are really nice! They pricing is affordable and from what I know, this is still a locally owned business from people who have been here a long time! Support local! They also do such great fundraisers for our schools. This place really is the best!

Old faithful! Clean enough, friendly young staff, ran well I have to say

There was no charge to skate, though the skating pass price of $12 posted online is not bad, especially without the $3 skate rental cost (since I have my own rollerblades). This place is quite simple. A small shoe cubbies storage unit against the wall, a few seats and tables outside the rink, a restroom in the back, socks and snacks (water, chips, gatorade) sold behind the counter, and friendly staff making everyone feel welcome. The rink had a smooth and sturdy surface, creating an ideal skating experience. It was surrounded by plexiglass, able to withstand the barrage of kids crashing into the walls. Tiny disco balls hung from the ceiling, along with colorful decorative string lights. Mainly hip hop and rnb music played through the speakers, a song list including Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder, I Want To Be Your Man by Zapp, and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough by the king of pop. The skating rink was small but never felt crowded. There was plenty of space to glide freely, and it was easy to dodge the kids. Even the skate aids didn't take up a lot of space or get in the way. It was a pleasant experience, a carefree atmosphere with everyone just having a good time. Skate Escape was a great option for a rainy day activity to enjoy while in the area.

Thank You for building this rink in lakeport!!!!!!! Gorgeous new smooth surface (do be aware that this is a small rink). Kept clean. They have skee ball (and an adorable little arcade space). I dislike the pvc pipe contraptions kids like to use to "learn" to skate here. They create dangerous conditions on the skate floor during open skate and I'm not convinced they really help people learn the balance points. Fewer of these, limiting their use to 30 minutes a person, only offering them for the first hour of a skate session or something, would be awesome. Some rinks use/offer these, some don't. This rink does. The skate fee is a bit high for folks who skate for athletics but seems right for recreation (ten bucks... this quickly becomes cost prohibitive for training volume visits but makes for a nice date night/family night). The staff here is rad. I've gotten consistent friendly treatment (from different folks over 3-4 spaced out visits). They hand out free skate passes when appropriate (a counter person missed the skates I brought once and accidentally charged a skates fee... was happy to hand me a pass. That's hospitality!) They "Up ticketed" me a few tickets so I could take home a plastic horse as my skee ball trophy. These are the kind of "nice perks" attitudes that keep people coming back. This seems like a fun place to work!

I have patronized other local skating rinks and have never been treated with such disrespect. I took a large group to the rink to in order to support my city and give my group an opportunity to experience an activity that many had never experienced. The overall experience was changed from positive to negative when one of the members in our group was told that she had two different sized skates and they would not return her shoes until she could produce the other set of mismatched skates. This person is very shy and unable to advocate for herself so I intervened. The manager and employee insisted that we must have the other pair of mismatched skates even after we checked and told them everyone else in our group had returned their skates. Then suggested this person sat by someone and they had put on the wrong size skate even though the person seated next to them was someone in our group. The manager and employee were unwilling to budge and demanded we pay for a new pair of skates ($125) if we could not produce the other mismatched skates. They were very rigid and unwilling to consider that they may have made a mistake when they gave out the skates. After about 30 minutes, I was finally able to locate another patron (they cleared the ice and asked people to approach counter if they wore that size shoe but I had to go around and ask total strangers) who also was mystified by the mix up. They never appologized or acknowledged the error. Because of this mix up we were late getting everyone to the next location where parents were waiting for their kids. My advice to you check the bottom of the skates before skating or risk paying for a new pair of skates. Tip for this owner don't always assume someone is trying to cheat you. Back in the day the customer was always right or at least given the benefit of the doubt.
