Dropped by here after lunch on the way home. It looked like any other park but the slides were so cool. Almost like mini roller coaster types lol. They look steep but the kids actually go down them pretty slow. The structures look pretty new and well maintained. Area for little kids and big kids. My daughters loved it! Plenty of benches for parents to sit and watch, under the shade.

Nice park with beautiful playground, swings, huge 3 story house with slides, younger kids and older kids play structures, something for everyone. Nice path for bike/scooter/scare board. Great obstacle course for kids.

Great swings for little kids

Great little park with a variety of slides and play structure. The families that visit are nice. Just a good place to go.

I don't see any reviews on this playground yet...am I the first?! After picking up my little nephew, getting him in the car with my little one here's the question I asked him --- "So, where do you want to really go today?!" ... ""To the playground!" He yells. And so then he leads me to the direction of Leghorns Park, not too far from his home. Plenty of parking at the nearby shopping area, and loads of running around space for the kiddies. Plenty of play structures and a good variety too. Maybe I'm just used to crowded city parks so this place was refreshing for me and my own little one. Great choice nephew! Nearby stores to treat the kiddies to a snack plus use the bathroom. Would love to come and bring them again...

Lovely park for all ages. As others have mentioned, be sure you have sunscreen! I would give this park 5 stars if there was shade. Even at 3pm, it was sweltering and all the structures, swings, and slides were in full sun. We spent a lot of time on the grass in the shade. There are bathrooms with changing tables. Tennis courts and a baseball field, as well as boce ball, though we didn't use those during our visit. There's a market right nearby for snacks or water, as well as a stand alone Starbucks if you want to grab a coffee before watching the kids play.

Great Park but poor maintenance. Slide has been broken for months. It's a total hazard with broken plastic etc. other items get broken and they just remove them instead of fixing them. Pretty sad way to treat the busiest park in town.

Such a big park and so many different things to check out. My daughter had a blast stopping by while we were on a family roadtrip.

With all the reviews about the bird shit, why has it not been addressed??? The City of Petaluma…read moreneeds to own up to this!! There's sprinklers that go on the walking path in an area where the birds do not shit. If they put grass and sprinklers next to the building where they have yoga, it would clean the sidewalks. Lucchesi Park, come here to reveal your terminal diagnosis. When something bad happens in someplace nice that place is forever tainted by the memory. This is exactly the reason you should come to Lucchesi Park with dire news. It'd be hard to ruin any memories of a place that's already this crap-tastic. Rather than googling "best parks in Petaluma" someone googled "nearby parks in Petaluma" and there's a big difference. We had a nice bottle of wine, some plastic cups, and poured ourselves a little splash after parking the car. We wanted to sit on a bench by the water, sip our wine, and enjoy the ambiance. In one direction the water-adjacent path was so littered with duck/goose/bird poop that I headed the opposite way. I rounded a bend and discovered the same thing in that direction: A shitstorm the likes of which I've never before seen. I turned around and opted for a bench in front of the building with merely a view of the most egregious poop mounds rather than a close-up. I laughed: this place is disgusting. There's a hiking trail at the other end of the park and a playground across the water but I really had no desire to explore. Later that evening I found Penry Park and imagined what could've been. Always google "best park", never "nearest park".

Playground at the park. Two structure, swings, teeter-totter. Getting a little old and dirty but still good.
