Leghorn's park is an amazing park in Petaluma. It has a covered gazebo, tennis courts, public bathrooms, multiple playgrounds and slides for kids over five. It's rarely not busy but the mornings are a bit calmer now that schools are back in session. I love walking to Chunky's for tacos or a burrito. read more

Dropped by here after lunch on the way home. It looked like any other park but the slides were so cool. Almost like mini roller coaster types lol. They look steep but the kids actually go down them pretty slow. The structures look pretty new and well maintained. Area for little kids and big kids. My daughters loved it! Plenty of benches for parents to sit and watch, under the shade. read more

I like this park, especially because it's near a long walking path. Great for kids in strollers and then can play afterwards. Lots of grass, basketball courts, and multiple play structures for kids of all different ages. Big kid swings and little kid swings are available. I do have to agree with some yelpers that it could use some maintenance. I've been when things are broken on the play structures. Overall I do enjoy bringing my lunch here and letting the kids play. read more

I don't see any reviews on this playground yet...am I the first?! After picking up my little nephew, getting him in the car with my little one here's the question I asked him --- "So, where do you want to really go today?!" ... ""To the playground!" He yells. And so then he leads me to the direction of Leghorns Park, not too far from his home. Plenty of parking at the nearby shopping area, and loads of running around space for the kiddies. Plenty of play structures and a good variety too. Maybe I'm just used to crowded city parks so this place was refreshing for me and my own little one. Great choice nephew! Nearby stores to treat the kiddies to a snack plus use the bathroom. Would love to come and bring them again... read more

Lovely park for all ages. As others have mentioned, be sure you have sunscreen! I would give this park 5 stars if there was shade. Even at 3pm, it was sweltering and all the structures, swings, and slides were in full sun. We spent a lot of time on the grass in the shade. There are bathrooms with changing tables. Tennis courts and a baseball field, as well as boce ball, though we didn't use those during our visit. There's a market right nearby for snacks or water, as well as a stand alone Starbucks if you want to grab a coffee before watching the kids play. read more

Great Park but poor maintenance. Slide has been broken for months. It's a total hazard with broken plastic etc. other items get broken and they just remove them instead of fixing them. Pretty sad way to treat the busiest park in town. read more

Fun but a bit dirty. City should keep a better eye on the sandbox area's as they have a lot of debris from picnics blowing into them and messy visitors that aren't considerate of little one's that pick up everything. read more

Great park. Near freeway, close enough to drop the wife off at the outlet and take the kids to the park for an hour or two. Next to shopping center for snacks. Plenty of parking. read more

We love this park. It's near a few little shops where you can grab a sandwich or get a haircut, near the Petaluma campus of the JC and the kids love the playground equipment. Different from all the things they see in Santa Rosa. read more

I walk around here twice a day and it is often one of the most pleasant little tiny parks I have ever had the joy of walking my giant Great Dane Zeus around. Its always packed with children and parents enjoying their time and bonding which bring great light and life to this area of Petaluma. read more

One of our favorite parks! I would just like to add that getting up to the big slides are a hazard. I've seen way too many kids hit their heads on them, not to mention it's a pain when parents have to go up there to grab their kids since there is a bar obstical coarse towards the top (meant for kids). It's very easy to loose your child because you can hardly see the top of the slides since they all face different directions, so you can't see what slide your child is coming down. And if they manage to get away there is a major street right there! Not safe! Plus the mini slide needs to hurry up and get fixed it's been broken for a few weeks now. ( and I agree we need more shade!) an umbrella over the park would be amazing! And maybe a gate type thing to keep them in and away from the busy JC traffic! read more

Our Kids love this park... I wish they (City) could monitor it better so the teenagers don't make it a hang out as its not a healthy environment when you find beer bottles around on the grass. read more

Three parks in one! Something for all age kids. Including the teenagers jumping of the roof of the restrooms. The three story three slide tower thing is super cool. A little rough for a 6'4" fella but you can manage. Also, I don't recommend the slides if your an adult. Ouch. read more

Wonderful paek for all ages. There are several different play structures for different age groups, a merry go round ttpe circle, baby swings ans regular swings, and the tallest slide tower I have ever seen, with three super long spiral tunnel slides. Great park worth going to if you are in the area. read more

Fun place to be. Kids love coming here and it's convenient for the parents since G and G is close by. The kids can also go to Yogurt World after a long day at the park. A lot of playground equipment but, make sure your children don't look at the inappropriate words in the big tube slides. read more

This park is 3 parks in one! For all ages ! It's a pretty good seized park. Basketball courts, tennis and baseball I think. It has a Starbucks and ice cream shop right around the corner which is a great addition to this park! My kids and I enjoy spending a lot of time here. read more
