Crunchy Bowl (16 oz)
Risa L.

The açaí had an interesting floral taste to it. The texture was almost like a melting smoothie. The açaí was layered in a cup and you have to be really careful when digging into it. I liked it with the chia pudding. The fruits were decently fresh. The smallest cup was about $16 and more of a snack than a meal. There were several nice areas outside the shop with umbrellas to sit and eat.

Came here for their opening day at the Waianuenue location in Moilili. The first 100 people in line were given a sticker as their voucher for the free acai bowl of choice! As we were waiting they gave us a free sample of acai which was very refreshing waiting outside. They gave a free classic fruity bowl. I really like the granola they use in it. It's a little sweet where it adds flavor to the acai. There's no honey in this fruity one but I think it's perfect without. There was one strawberry and some banana. Overall, very good acai that I would come back again for!

Super late review -…read more I'm sad. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.

Best. Açai. Bowl. Ever…read more Honestly this place really does live up to the hype. Overall: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Açai Bowl - 5/5 - So sweet, and naturally at that, there's no added sugar to the açai. It's so tasty and healthy at the same time. There is a bar with extra toppings. Waffle - 5/5 - The waffle was notable too and only a $2 addition to the meal. So good. Eggs - 4.5/5 - Eggs were great too... perfectly cooked, Gordon Ramsey style. Hot dogs were hot dogs. If there's one to skip out, it's this, but It was really good still. Service - 5/5 - Truly all such friendly workers. Everyone was super sweet and had the aloha vibe. Made us love the place even more. Ambiance - 4/5 - Positive vibes and underground in a mall food court type of setting. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting! Mahalo for everything.

Definitely one of those places where the food is great, but the kindness of the owner makes you want to come back even more. Highly recommend if you're in Waikīkī.

TLDR: Long lines even at opening, customizable options but consistently good!…read more Can't say I haven't had authentic acai up until this point. For some reason, I totally forgot that good acai could be found in Hawaii!! Hello!! Its not just the fresh fish ya'll I walked here and there was still a line by 7, and even longer one when I went the next day, but it does move quite fast, especially with some of the workers letting people know they have a sit down resturant next door so just food for thought if you want more actual food options! As it stands they have quite an extensive list of juice, coffee, acai. I decided to go with a more basic route but instead subbing my fruit for what was in season which was mango, lilikoi and lychee. You order at the front and they call your number. They have some seating around as well but if you're at the hawaiian center you can just sit downstairs. The fruit alone was out of this world. I was actually so focused on that I wasn't even thinking about if the acai was good which I think it was! It comes out rather creamy, not frozen or icy. The price is a little steeper than what I've had in the past but honestly the fresh fruit alone made it extremely worth it. A regular sized bowl was quite filling! I came back the next day and it was still just as good. I know some people probably prefer different locations than others but I can rep this one for sure. Its in a very touristy place, maybe even the mecca so if you want to avoid that then avoid any location in waikiki

It's a little tricky to find, but that seemed to be a theme at this rather poorly labeled mall which had few directories. Eventually we found it, though! It's quite small with only a few tables, but the decor is very cool and Hawaiian inside. The staff were also very friendly and explained different aspects of the various beverage since this was our first time visiting. I had the frozen banana kona mocha which was really pleasant and extremely refreshing on a warm tropical day after strolling around this largely open air mall. The drink was extremely smooth and refreshing, although I will say it was a bit light on the banana flavor but still very good overall! This is a good option to grab a beverage during your Ala Moana shopping trip!
