    Best Flight In Town
    Jeff C.

This is a definite hidden gem! From ice cold beer to cold nitro cold brew coffee / darts to pinball / Trivia Nights to Bonsai Classes; this place has something for everyone!

Nice clean space with various board games, pinball, darts etc. Small onsite tap room in the center of the space. But the beer itself was just ok. Nothing we tried really wowed. So while it's a nice environment there are other breweries in town that make a better product.

Awesome brewery on Oak Street that's a neighborhood fixture. They have events during the week to check out. There's a rotating list of beers and options for non beer drinkers. I tried the beer flight which is an awesome option at $10 for 4 beers. Support local and try this spot!!!

I have seen this brewery a couple of times in passing. A few friends from work and I decided to try it out. I love the setup and that there are board games. They also have trivia on Wednesdays at 7. They don't serve food but they do allow you to bring in food. There's a few neighboring food joints. The beer is very reasonably priced, but unfortunately I do think they still need some tweaking. All of the ones I tried were pretty mild and just needed to be kicked up a knotch. The staff and brewer were very friendly, so I would like to give them another try in the coming months.

The vibes are excellent. We all did the $10 flights and everything was delicious. The people who owners and the staff were really wonderful. They were kind and super chill. There are great arcade machines, darts, and good music. We watched part of the LSU football game and hung out. The place is also dog friendly and we met some cool pups. Stop in and have a beer and enjoy their comfy seating and the great people.

What a fun new brewery! It was a hot day, and they were nice and cold. Add a star for THAT! There are a very nice variety of fun and games to play, including darts, and board games. They have the best price on a 4 pour flight!! Invite your friends, try some fun new beers, play a game! We will be back!

This place was very nice. The atmosphere was great! Perfect for a nice family day out. YES, I said FAMILY day out! It was more like a cool game area, that served beer and house made flavored sodas. We went for a Joel's Lobster Roll pop up, and took the entire family. Our adult son and his family had a great time! They played darts, ate lobster rolls, and other kids and adults played different provided games. The environment was really family friendly, and all ages seemed to enjoy it there. Dogs are also welcome!! Made it even better. The only down side is that they don't prepare and serve food there. But, you are welcome and encouraged to pick up food from one of the restaurants on the sane street, or bring it from other restaurants and eat it there. It was perfect for the food truck pop up. Either way, good or beer & games, this place and it's friendly staff can't be beat.

I liked the layout of this brewery and the service was very good. I think they need to work on tweaking some of their brew recipes but that comes with time. They had several different styles on the menu and their prices are reasonable. They also had some items for purchase (shirts, stickers, coasters, etc) and 32 oz crowlers with the beer of your choice.

New brewery alert! I do believe I might have died and went to heaven because I love this place! Oak St Brewery is sooo cool! It's right by Blue Cypress Books so if you just CAN'T wait to get home before diving into your new book (like me), this is the perfect place to stop in for a pint. I tried the best sour I've had in a long time! Not too tart, but no funny flavors like rosemary or whatever. After I ordered my beer and was greeted by the world's best hostesses..... the owner's two meatball English bulldogs! Puppies and beer!!!! This place is pet friendly so you can bring your fur baby with you, too! You could also bring your human baby because they're also kid friendly. Let's be real, parents need a beer. They have food trucks on Sundays. Go check em out!

We heard great things about this brewery so we decided to check it out. My wife is the beer drinker and she had a flight of four different brews and she loved them. I had their root beer and it was one of the best I've ever had. We got some food from the Mexican restaurant next door that was recommended to us by the brewmaster Kevin. They have board games for the kids (and adults) darts, and a great ambiance. Definitely worth checking this place out.

On a journey to the 100th brewery visit of a friend this stop did not disappoint. Very quaint brewery with a delicious flight. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves craft beer. The vibe was great and the music even better. Great casual meeting place

Really good vibes! This brewery was very comfy and cozy - even family friendly! I love all of their 3D printed coasters and labels for each different brew on tap. They had a lot of board games to play and also darts. All the staff was super friendly - I would definitely recommend going with friends or family!

For now, I'll just settle with a visit anytime I'm around the Irish Channel. The brewery is a wide-open warehouse that's set up in a way to accommodate both patrons and brewing operations. They have a great selection of merch, as well as games and events throughout the year. I wish I had thought to ask for a tour on this last trip just to get a closer look, but I can save that for another time. I truly appreciate the wide variety of beers that Urban South has on tap. You can take any kind of beer drinker to their taproom and everyone will be able to find something that they'll enjoy. Sours are my first choice beer-wise and that Lime Cucumber Gose or the Rocket Pop are always winners. On top of beer, they also brew hard seltzers, non-alcoholic versions of their core beers, a line of THC seltzers, as well as create hard iced tea and house seltzer cocktails. I'm so happy to have made it over to the taproom for Mardi Gras this year to grab a 4-pk of Carnival Time (the sour series made with Dong Phoung king cake). There are four different flavors - traditional, almond, coconut, and strawberry - of which I am highly anticipating on drinking.

Walking up from the water the first thing you see is this gigantic New Orleans mural and it's indicative of the brewery inside the same building - huge warehouse, it even has camper parked inside with a bar that extends much of the back wall. There are picnic tables so plenty of seating. I was there an early Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all, but I could imagine it being filled with lines to satisfy throngs of partygoers. There are five vertically placed flat-panel monitors with a variety of drink-menu options. I chose to get a flight of beers I hadn't had previously which ended up being 4 varietals of their King Cake Ale: * Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy pale, almost registers as a fruited sour, sweet body with notes of almond, amaretto, cinnamon and vanilla. 4/5 * Coconut King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Milky coconut in this almost tart King Cale ale, getting notes of both raw and toasted coconut, almond, amaretto, sweet vanilla and cinnamon. 4.3/5 * Almond Crème Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy body with distinct almond note followed by vanilla and cinnamon. 4.2/5 * Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Fruity tart strawberry in this pale ale, finishes fruity and sweet, a touch dry. 4.1/5 Overall I enjoyed the beers I had - all very drinkable. The cinnamon was a bit much all at once, these are almost dessert beers and better taken in small amounts after you've slammed a few of their staple beers, in my opinion, but I'm still very glad I had them. The staff and service was good with an efficient demeanor - I think if they were slightly friendlier I might have stuck around and tried more of what they offered but as my second brewery (and plans for more exploration in the evening) I decided to keep things neat with this single flight. Afterwards I walked back up to St Charles and took a short nap and got cleaned up for evening shenanigans.

They even have a can of insect repellent to prevent the mosquito buffet. The icing on the cake, the beer was good, too. We liked it enough to go back the day before we left!
