The price was great because it is off season. It was within walking distance of shopping & restaurants in Berlin. We loved that there was flavored popcorn, potato chips, pretzels & cookies waiting for us in our room & it was replenished each morning by housekeeping. Breakfast was included each morning but we didn't care for it so we skipped it. The TV was smaller than usual & we had trouble seeing it from the bed. Our main complaint was the people in the room above us had kids that ran up & down and it sounded like a herd of elephants starting at 8:00 a.m.

Our room was clean and the view from our balcony was incredible. Very picturesque and serene. After having some cocktails in our room, we decided to explore the grounds. The trail behind the building lead us first to the koi pond. It was stocked with beautiful fish and food for them was available to purchase. There was a little waterfall and then we came upon a childrens village that was absolutely adorable. Having just rained, there were no children playing in the village so being two adults with questionable maturity, we had the most fun exploring the miniature buildings. After exploring the outside, we did indeed go swimming. The ice bucket was dirty and still contained a used liner with water in it. The tub was not clean, and the sheets appeared dirty and so thin you could practically see through them. To make matters worse, cell phone service in the area is almost nonexistent, making it difficult to contact the front desk. When I finally got through, I was told someone would bring us toilet paper and a clean ice bucket "as soon as they could" because they were busy checking in guests. While I understand they were busy, these issues should have been addressed before the room was rented to anyone. At that point, we didn't feel comfortable using the drinking glasses or other items in the room because cleanliness was already a concern. The dinner buffet was acceptable if you're simply looking for a buffet, but ordering a regular meal was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was also very underwhelming.
