We try to get a room off the rear to enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside. The rooms are always very clean and the staff warm and friendly. In the evenings there are snacks of cookies and popcorn. The continental breakfast is also satisfying often including scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, a breakfast meat, cereal, fresh fruit, and more! It is also centrally located to most things we want to do from shopping for furniture to stocking up on cheeses and spices to candles and leather goods. You could also hear people talking in the room next to us. You hear almost everything going on outside and the windows by the door let in a lot of light. We woke up every day at 5am to the salt trucks scraping right outside our room. The beds were clean which we appreciate. Overall a good place to stay but I wish we came in the summer or another time.

We also enjoyed the various swings around the property and there was a little trail that ran through the woods that we walked, and the woods were covered in large white Trilliums along the path. Having just rained, there were no children playing in the village so being two adults with questionable maturity, we had the most fun exploring the miniature buildings. After exploring the outside, we did indeed go swimming. The pool area was saturated with the smell of chlorine and the jacuzzi was extra hot and crowded but we had a nice time relaxing and making new friends. It was a good one night experience.
