Hubby & I came here for a relaxing weekend for him & a crafting retreat for me. The room was very nice & spacious and the giant cookie they gave each of us upon check-in was a delicious treat. The bed was a bit hard. The air-conditioner blew cold air directly on our bed so it was a bit chilly, even with the comforter provided. Adjusting the temperature only made it too warm in the room. Loved the balcony & relaxing on the glider. The complimentary breakfast was good, especially the crispy bacon. Enjoyed the hot shower with the shampoo, conditioner & shower gel provided. This resort is a bit on the pricey side.

Have always had a great experience here until tonight's visit. I'm thinking they switched ownership or something. Things started at check-in. They didn't have anyone at the front desk, they just have your room card out on a rack. And they don't give out their signature cookies anymore btw. Speaking of things not being included, there was no shampoo or body wash in the shower. Also, we needed a roll-away bed for our kid and those apparently aren't covered in the $200 you're already paying for the room. They cost $20 extra. When I asked the lady at the front desk if they had any she acted like it was going to be a big deal that she was about to have to go check if they had any beds. We were here on a Wednesday night so they weren't even very busy, but maybe this is why they weren't busy. Like I said, we've always loved this place and have always had good experiences but maybe it's going downhill. Just a warning to others.

I booked this resort through a Groupon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were fine but I like a little more variety in the softness of the pillows. The rooms have a refrigerator but no microwave or coffee maker. There is coffee and other beverages available 24 hours a day in the lobby however. The free breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast buffet. There were pre-made omelettes, ham, a waffle maker (although the waffles I thought were a little rubbery), a few bagels and a toaster, oatmeal and other cereals. I was surprised with this being Amish country that there weren't more pastries or should I say they weren't any pastries!! There was 1 flavor of yogurt, only one type of milk (no low fat) and a few bananas. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature and the hot tub was very comfortable. Another unusual thing was that the pool towels are kept in your hotel room and then you bring them back to your hotel room when you're done. Although this was not a problem and probably keeps the towel mess to a minimum All in all I would say that I enjoyed my stay and would come here again.

Words could not express the warmth and the peace I received. I had the opportunity to stay at the resort during the same weekend of 5/2/21 and I was a part of the group the Chris gave a low review score. We apologized for the noise for the night of prayer and worship we had. We were not aware there were rooms and others above us. As soon as we found out we tapered down the noise. From our group stand point we again apologize for any inconvenience but please don't let that take away fromi the amazing beauty of the staff and the resort. I live in Cali and never been to Ohio and I have to admit the beauty of this resort and the staff. just goes beyond words... women from all over the world searching for something were changed women walked away ready for next chapter. I would definitely fly to OH just to come and enjoy the scenery, Staff on every level that assisted us was amazing. From a event coordinator stand point if you need a beautiful place to hold your group meetings large or small this is the place. Thank you everyone for all m did to make our event so special and memorable. Most importantly we had three days to reflect on life's journey and ready to embrace their next chapter! Again thank you, thank you thank you

This hotel is very nice it sits on a hill and when I say the view is beautiful! I stayed in a suite and I didn't have too many problems with nose from the road but the breakfast was terrible. The juice tasted fake. The employees was very sweet and answered all my questions. My room was beautiful definitely will be back!

We are a chapter of the Red Hat Society and go on 4 day trips each year. Our first time at Berlin Resort was a huge success with all 13 ladies! Missy Mullane the event coordinator made us feel like ROCK STARS! She made a difficult job organizing feel like I did nothing and she did all the work! She even had names on our doors. We will be talking about this trip for a long while! Thank you to the staff that makes everything sparkle and shine! We even got the best cookies when we checked in.

There's so many accommodation choices in Amish Country but I was looking for a little more updated room with hotel amenities and came across this resort on Expedia. Upon arrival, we walked through a maze of hallways to find the elevator to the 3rd floor. From the front desk area which shared the breakfast room to the hallways, it seems outdated and a little confusing at first. However, once we opened the door to our suite, we were pleasantly surprised how roomy and attractive our suite was. There was a giant shower and jetted tub for two, separate from the sink and toilet of the bathroom, which was nice. We had a king size bed that was very high off the ground, but comfy. There was a double reclining rocking chair in the room as well. We did have a mini refrigerator but no coffee maker or microwave. Because it was raining outside and we had been driving and shopping all day, we decided to check out the indoor pool for a bit before dinner. The pool area was nice. It included a hot tub, sauna and steam room. The pool was nice and relaxing. We noticed on the way back to our room that they had a theater in the hotel and just started a movie. The outside grounds were very nice but the rain kept us from enjoying them. Breakfast was mediocre, as most hotel continental breakfasts are. The one thing I really didn't like is that I had to take the maze through the hotel to get coffee in the morning. There should be coffeemakers in each room for convenience. In summary, I would definitely stay here again. It was a relaxing, quiet getaway for two! Tip: I highly recommend driving about 7 minutes to Millersburg Brewing for beer and sandwiches for lunch or dinner- it was good all around & close to the hotel! Millersburg is a cute town with a few shops.

I did have a cup of coffee and they had decaf (YAY!) but it wasn't very hot (BOO!) We were here for a wedding at the Stables at Arrowhead Lake. This was the suggested hotel - so my hubby booked a room. I think the group pricing was OK - especially with some of the sticker shock we've encountered travelling with our softball team. Check is was quick and easy and we appreciated being able to get our room a little before 3 PM. We wanted to watch the beginning of the OSU football game before we had to head over to the ceremony. The hotel was very clean and looked new. I saw from prior reviews it wasn't a new building so they do a great job keeping it fresh and clean. Our room was nice but freezing cold - which is how hubby likes it. Good to have A/C in the summer time - although the temps were mild during our stay. The room had a fridge that worked, TV with the stations we needed and the outlets were plenty. Great lighting in the bathroom and very nice linens. Beds were fine and I really appreciated the generous amount of K cups they left with the Keurig. Not much else to write about - absolutely no complaints. Check out was easy and we were on our way north - next to the Guardians game. Would gladly stay here again.

She told me about the area of the Honey Comb Rooms, the restaurant etc. We were out at Mt. Hope and coming back from the ride we saw the sign and had to go see the place. It was snowing so we felt we were in a picturesque snow globe. We drove to the area of the Honey Comb rooms and it look so cool. We stopped by the Inn and spoke to this gracious young lady at the restaurant. She said it was open to the public as well. We also spoke to the person at the front desk and picked up pamphlets on what you can do in the area. The rooms looked pricey on the website, I'm not sure if it's a place I would stay. Maybe for a celebration of some sort. It's close to many different Amish Places.

So much has already been said, but this is a natural respite from the world with all of the creature comforts. To anyone saying the property is somewhat outdated, I disagree and fully appreciated features like carpet in the honeycomb suites and in the dining areas. It keeps noise down from fellow diners and guests staying in rooms nearby. When can you ever say this in modern stark industrial hotels? This made the experience so cozy. And the place is clean!! It looks and smells fresh. The honeycomb suites are constructed from stone and wood, and it's so refreshing. The food is delicious and well-appointed on the restaurant menus - both brunch and apps and dinners. They change the menus frequently based on what's in season, as a natural property like this should be. Service! Also "outdated" in that it was actually great! Where can you receive personable service anymore? The front desk, hostesses, serving attendants, communication prior to check in, you name it. We were first timers but met many guests who have been returning for decades. We would count ourselves lucky to be able to do the same. Great experience. My only gripe, and it's a legit one, and it can be avoided: room service. It should not be served in plastic in a bag like carry out, at a romantic resort and at this price point. We opted for brunch in our room one morning, and were disappointed to find a bag of food on plastic. No. Beware of this and go the fine dining room to avoid this. I have never ordered room service anywhere in the world and had it delivered in this manner to a $500 per night room. This did not take away from the rest of our experience though, but diners should be warned.

While the host was friendly and eager to share, my spouse and I were daunted by the extensive conversation before we were ever given the key. We had sent in notes about our food allergies, but the host seemed oblivious to the information we took time to fill out with the online registration. - The room was simple and pleasant. Details were missing. There were no robes as repeatedly described. The "luxury" soap was a very small slice of most likely a larger bar. The remaining complementary bathroom products had absolutely no ingredients listed for someone to be forewarned of possible allergens. No clean towels delivered for the second day; we had to use the dirty towels from our previous day's use. The king-sized bed was leaning in towards the middle and tilted towards the headboard. We had to pull the covers to turn to sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed. The box springs was badly stained with something brown. Not a pillow-top comfort sleep. To access the room, one must step up and over a large door transit. Definitely NOT for those with mobility challenges. - The parking area is loose gravel. Also a no for those with mobility challenges. - The water was highly sulfuric in smell. Before we were finished with our stay, my spouse was very ill from the water. Both days, the shower ejected black silt, or some such. The second day, our final day, my shower actually ran totally black. We had to use the remaining distilled water for my spouse's medical device to finish washing my hair. We checked out early because of this disgusting turn of events. - The breakfast was not "gourmet" in any way. Both mornings we ended up eating breakfast out. Cool Whip topping is not "gourmet" in any culinary description known, yet that was what was given - with frozen berries - as one of the courses. The meat was only 1.5 strips of turkey bacon - turkey bacon! - My spouse had to assist the host with television technical issues in another guest's room, taking about an hour, altogether, away from our time on our anniversary. - For a first bed and breakfast stay, this set the bar very low for future experiences. We were very disappointed. - One positive note: the location is quite gorgeous even if the facility itself is ordinary.
