We had a great two-night stay here in Berlin, OH. This hotel has added on since we had last…read morevisited. We love how close it is to the heart of Amish country. The bed and room were comfortable. The shower has only half a door, but surprisingly the water didn't get all over the place. We ended up liking the easy walk in feature. We appreciated that breakfast was served with some precautions. Individually wrapped breakfast sandwiches and muffins were available. A few buffet items were offered, like biscuits and sausage gravy, baked oatmeal, and bagels, but you could eat an entire meal of packaged foods if you wanted. We were really looking forward to using the hot tub after walking around all day, but alas just that morning they had discovered it needed a repair, so we were unable to use it during our stay. The pool wasn't warm enough to soak my feet. My only real complaint is that the TVs are not smart TVs. I'm so used to every place we stay having the ability to sign in to our Netflix account and continue watching our shows.

The house has beautiful wooden beams throughout which gives the place a very'homey' feeling. We ordered the cheese platter and chocolate dipped strawberries upon arrival and were very impressed by both. The cheese platter was filled to the brim with assorted cheeses and sliced meats with a sweet mustard. It came with a bottle of semi sweet wine. The strawberries were enormous and very tasty. We had breakfast delivered versus the grab and go and it was amazing. All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend staying here.

The trail behind the building lead us first to the koi pond. It was stocked with beautiful fish and food for them was available to purchase. There was a little waterfall and then we came upon a childrens village that was absolutely adorable. Having just rained, there were no children playing in the village so being two adults with questionable maturity, we had the most fun exploring the miniature buildings. After exploring the outside, we did indeed go swimming. The pool area was saturated with the smell of chlorine and the jacuzzi was extra hot and crowded but we had a nice time relaxing and making new friends. It was a good one night experience.

Clean, comfortable, well stocked, quiet, and in a great area that is close to everything you want in Berlin. New likes : coffee maker with good kcup coffee (or bring your own) and LOTS of creamer and sugar. New and very appreciated. Also redone shower, tho takes a bit to heat, is VERY clean and has strong pressure. New Dislikes : 2 night minimum hurts return visits from out of state, and asking for a tip for the maids is laughable now that the cost for most of the rooms are creeping to the $300/night level. They continue to have a beautiful stay for a Amish getaway... just need to tweak the price/minimums for other folks.
