I found it odd the officer wanted more details about me then the loose dogs I was calling about.

You tell me - One star or two?…read more I didn't receive any service, even though they are open until 7:00 PM. I pulled up to the propane station at 6:42 PM. Unloaded my two propane tanks to be filled. After waiting three minutes when it was clear no one was going to help me, I decided to call, rather than load everything back up and go inside. I asked if anyone was working the propane station. 'No, Propane is closed,' she said. 'But you're open until 7. When did propane close?', I asked. 'At 6:45,' she said. 'Just now.' That's customer service for you at the Oak Harbor Country Store. Whoever was filling propane today wasn't around at 6:42, 6:43, 6:44, or 6:45, so it's closed. How convenient. By the way, there isn't ANY sign or other markings indicating that 'Propane closes at 6:45'. And if it were truly closed, why isn't the propane station locked up? Why is it possible for someone - at 6:56 PM - to just walk up and snap the photo I've attached? Propane is so heavily monitored and regulated. Certainly this is a safety hazard to leave the propane station unattended like this? It's now 7:03 PM. The propane station is still open; nothing is locked up. A woman from inside just came out and asked if I was hoping to get propane. I said, 'Yes.' She said, 'We're closed. You'll have to come back tomorrow.' I replied, 'Then you might want to lock all that up. It's a safety hazard.' I pointed to the propane station. She called someone to come lock it up. It's 7:07 PM now. Still unattended; still wide open. It's been unattended, wide open, unlocked for at least 25 consecutive minutes now. They call it Joke Harbor, for a reason, people.

Holly is the vet tech, assistant and receptionist! She does 3 jobs and keeps all your records. I must say she is greatly valued at that office. If you can get your first appointment you are a customer for life. His rates are reasonable and he does not try and sell you stuff you don't need. Since I've been going there even my kids use them as their vet!

He was on a well earned day off and literally came off the ski slope early and met us at his office. Any other vet would have told us to go to the emergency vet in Mt. Vernon. I take that back, "any other vet" wouldn't have even answered the phone. There was a recent nasty hit piece in the local paper based on a 3 year old "complaint," coincidentally published a week after a "puff" piece article in the same paper about the glitzy, expensive vet office a few miles away. I know and trust Dr. Mangiameli.

Recently, my littlest cat was acting very weird and stopped eating over a period of a few days. I thought it might be because of the heat wave we were having at the time, but when she got increasingly lethargic and started hiding, I got worried and called Chuckanut Valley. They got us right in! After quite a bit of poking and prodding, not to mention a full panel of tests, it was determined that my cat was likely just hot. It was a pretty expensive diagnosis, but I was relieved it wasn't something worse. The doctors and staff here are always so loving and kind. And while their prices are definitely premium (aren't all vets?) I do appreciate they have prescription meds on hand when I need them for my pets, and offer discounts if you offer full diagnostic panels. I am so happy to have found them!

He was typing. My guess is that he is adjusting the report on the procedure. Ultimately my dog died. I'll never go back. And suggest the same for you.
