Mariela and Jackie always have the best stories to tell me when I go to pick her up. You don't pay to have your kid sit in front of a tv all day. They teach valuable life skills and everything is self paced for your child. I recommend this place to everyone looking for childcare. When you walk in, they know yours and your child's name, without hesitation and genuinely care about your family. The building is safe, clean and nicely taken care of. We will continue to go here for years to come.

This is my sons fist time in a daycare and it's only been a month and I already see so much improvement! He's already showing independence skills , eating with regular utensils, and showing interest in helping in the kitchen to prepare snacks. I cannot wait to see what else he will achieve by month 2. I Highly recommend this center. Thank you to all the Guidepost St. Augustine center for your kindness and support as my son is in the process of adjusting to a learning center aka daycare for the first time. It has been a hard process for him but harder for my self and every single one of you have provided tremendous support and kindness during this process.

Located on Valencia Street, it was built in 1889 by Henry Morrison Flagler, a man of incredible prosperity and responsible not only for several buildings of incredible beauty in St. Augustine, but also the railroad system. The church was dedicated in honor of his daughter Jennie Louise Benedict, who died following complications from childbirth the same year, hence the word Memorial. The church, like many of Flagler's structures (Whitehall, Flagler College, Lightner Museum), was designed by the New York architectural firm of Carrère and Hastings in the Second Renaissance Revival style and inspired by St Mark's Basilica in Venice. A novel building technique was used, which incorporated concrete mixed with crushed coquina. Terra cotta was used for many of the architectural detailing. Upon Flagler's death in 1913 he was interred in a marble mausoleum within the church beside his daughter Jennie Louise and her infant Marjorie, as well as his first wife Mary Harkness Flagler. In addition to the church and memorial garden grounds, the church sits on a beautiful lot with trees full of Spanish Moss. It is very peaceful. Tours are given only during the week and because of Easter weekend, the church was inaccessible for tours and closed. Even if you're unable to access the church interior, the exterior is beautiful enough to observe and photograph. In fact, there was a newly engaged couple being photographed here, which is why some of my photos may be somewhat crooked (I was trying not to get them in any of my shots!). I was unable to photograph the entire building's back entrance due to people hanging around the area and my friend not wanting to spend more time at the site.

After looking at several daycares in the area, I chose this one for my daughter who is in the infant class because: The class size for infants is capped at 4. This means that she will never be in a room with 8 babies and one teacher (out of compliance with state codes). The caregivers really care. They are consistent and I haven't seen them ever play favorites. I never worry about my kiddo's well-being. The facility is always clean and well-kempt. The cleaning products are all-organic (which is nice, not a huge sell for me as I use regular stuff at my home, but for some it is important). If I have called the facility, the phones are answered promptly. My questions are always answered courteously, and no one seems rushed. Overall, this is a great facility and I didn't even remember to call them to check on my baby her first day there, which I think says a lot about the facility. You get peace of mind here. My daughter loves going into the building in the mornings. She smiles as soon as she sees her teacher, and is always happy to transfer arms. No tears, ever! I highly recommend this daycare, and have told several co-workers about it for their children.
