However as we now enter our child's third year at the school with numerous staff and leadership turnover we utilize this school more out of convenience than personal choice. There have been several instances of miscommunication from leadership with our family. Even more concerning, is the notable leadership turnover in such a short period of time. Unfortunately there is not a standard practice in place for routine class transitions which allow children of the same age an equal opportunity to access all learning tools which the school prides itself on. It's extremely disappointing to see such obvious stagnation and regression in our child's classroom engagement and learning for what appears to be the sake of appeasing incoming families on waitlists or special circumstances. I do hope moving forward the school is able to put in place more concrete class groupings so that all children are afforded an equal opportunity to engage and excel in their pivotal early learning years with the developmentally appropriate materials and tools the school has to offer.

After 5 years at Goddard, having two children attend(ed) this school, we have seen all the good…read morethat Goddard has to offer. From 3 months through the VPK, we stuck with them, because they are the best. Cleanliness was initially my main concern finding a daycare, and I have visited many daycare facilities before I decided on Goddard. Throughout the day the teachers and staff pick up after the kids, the areas were food is handled are impeccable, and they have a special sanitizing system in place, called ZONO Sanitizing. The ZONO machine cleans mats, tables, toys and even soft toys. After having my infant daughter grown up and graduate from their VPK program, and going on to Kindergarten I know that there is more to child care, than just a clean class room. Goddard has an awesome curriculum, my first child has learned things that peers of her age do not even come close to. Of course all parents think their child is the brightest, but Goddard actually was a huge contributor to the knowledge and skills she took away to Kindergarten. Very happy with the way they teach, and the enrichment programs they have in place. All these five years the school has been improving and building on what they already offer. The staff at Goddard is amazing. The whole crew makes sure the experience has been as easy as it can be. As a mother (or father) it is not "easy" to leave your child behind in care of others, but knowing my children were always in a loving environment with people who care about them is huge. Not only does the staff make sure your child feels loved, they really care about us as a family. They all take the time to know you, be there with advice if you ask for it, a kind word of encouragement when you are tired after a sleepless night with the baby. I cannot stress enough how excellent our experience at Goddard has been, go and take a look, and find out for yourself.

If you're cool with blatant discrimination, this is the school for you!!…read more In January of 2016, I inquired about after school care for my daughter. I was told there was availability and that I should come by and tour the school and pick up an application. Sweet! Oh until I mentioned that my daughter was in a wheelchair. ::record screeeeeech:: Then I was told there was actually a small wait list....it must have slipped the front office administrator's mind...but hey it happens. So we get on the wait list and call to check in from time to time only to be told "there's just one more child ahead of her" time and time again. After several months we talk directly with the owner and straight up ask her if there's an issue with my child being admitted because she's in a wheelchair. She assured us this was absolutely not the case and our child would be the very next one admitted once an opening became available. So TWO YEARS (because apparently this is the Harvard of after school care) go by and within that time we managed to find another place for her until that spot opens up. We actually let it go for a while since we found a nice program that had no issue with meeting her needs, and ultimately that's what we were looking for, but kept her on the list just in case. However today we randomly saw the owner again and asked her about it. She ACTUALLY said no child has been admitted in the LAST TWO YEARS. Like those words actually came out of her mouth. I don't know about you, but that sounds awfully suspicious. I'm bringing this up now in the hopes that they will take a look at themselves and ask what they are getting out of denying kids with disabilities. That and so they can thoroughly brush up on the rules and regulations of the ADA Act. Just in case they need a resource, here is a link to show just how illegally discriminatory they are. https://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm We are also in the process of working with ADA advocates in regards to this so you can also ask them any questions you may have once they contact you. Have a blessed day. I mean that as sarcastically as possible.

They're always sharing news with us about my son's behavior or his needs (both opportunities and praises! which we appreciate). My son basically jumps out of my arms into Ms. Dixon's arms every morning, which makes me feel so good dropping him off every day knowing he looks forward to who he's spending his days with, and confirms to me he's in a loving and safe environment that he enjoys. Thank you Ms. Ledden, Ms. Dixon, and Ms. Yancey for your love and support of our son in the Toddler 2 classroom!

My son at the ripe age of…read more2 years old and never having been in school before was expelled on his 3rd day of school for being able to open doors and was classified as a "flight risk". First of all, WHY was my son able to get out if he's being supervised. Secondly, why would you say you can't expect your teachers to run after a student when they're there for a reason. He's 2. He shouldn't be expected to act like a robot. He does not have adhd or anything of the sort to classify him as an "overly difficult" child. Another issue is, nobody could tell us specifics of why he was considered a flight risk other than opening the classroom door. First we were told y'all would give him 2 weeks to adjust to being in school then not even 8 hours later we were told by the end of the school week then the very next day it was, he's expelled. WILD behavior. Not to mention on his last day when I arrived to pick him up, he was being "disciplined" in the front office and I was never called or told he was up front. I lived 5 mins away and would have came to get him immediately instead of yall holding him in the front office. Again. He's TWO!! As a previous preschool teacher and someone who has talked with numerous other preschool teachers AND a child psychiatrist, we are ALL disgusted by the behavior and treatment towards my two year old child.
