I actually rate O2 pretty well so far as phone companies go... I've been to this store on a number of occasions, and rather than having that horrible fake smiling, commission seeking character greet you at the door with dollar bills popping up in his eyes as clear as day, O2 seem quite happy just to let you experience what's on offer. I'm the kind of guy who really gets to grip with what I'm getting before I invest some cash in it. It makes me infuriating company for an impulse buyer, or for the poor people that work at these stores, but they do a better job of holding back their rage then I would in their shoes!
Here, the actual phones are on display, which is a good thing, as most smaller phone stores give you a plastic one with a cardboard image so you can get used to how the phone feels. But rather than being useful, this just has you practising your bull shi**ing skills, as you try and come across as a connoisseur of the mobile world with an eye for detail and a nose for class, flipping the phone open and closed, nodding approvingly as you do so and coming out with comments like "good action". But here, what you see is what you get. And if you ask, they'll sometimes bring out a boxed version of the phone, in the colour your interested in so you can have a proper fiddle. Plus, its right next to the bus stop, so you can kill a minute looking around while waiting for a bus.
And if you aren't looking for a phone, they do some kick ass cheap monthly contracts that helped me double my phone usage, and quarter my costs. I'd best stop there, before people start suspecting I'm one of those commission seeking sails reps. I already get enough of That at home... read more
