A little false advertisement! Almost through check out with my new battery... when the cashier…read morestarted talking about me returning my old battery... then I clarified about them installing my battery. "Due to COVID we can't do that." Right.... due to COVID you can stand 3 feet in front of me inside and sell me a $180 battery, but can't walk outside and replace my old battery.

I lived close enough and since my car wasn't going anywhere without chains, I walked there. When I got there, there was one other customer in the store the employee came out and asked which of us was next. Being the polite person that I was, I let the other customer go first. When it was my turn, I found out that the chains that I had seen online for about $50 was now going to cost me $80!!! A little taken back I started asking questions. I found out that because they were almost out, the owner/manager had authorized the employees to raise the price when the inventory dropped to a certain level. I asked to speak to the manager/owner and found out that because I wanted to do that, the employee was authorized to raise the price AGAIN!!!!!!! TO $100 !!!!!! DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This time because they said I was being a Difficult customer!! I was just asking QUESTIONS!!!! I called the company when I got home and found out that because the location is a FRANCHISE they get to pretty much do whatever they want to the prices. Next time I need something I will go to O'reilly!!

I recently lost my gas cap by leaving it ontop of my car. I thought autozone would be a good fast…read morechoice. Stopped in was helped as i had been by some younger guys. No issue much like the past. About 150 miles later i started getting a EVAP code. Number one reason is GAS CAP! Today i came in to return or buy a new one that hopefully worked. Talked to the manager anthony. I explained what happened. And then said What else could it be. Meaning mechanics Start with the easy stuff then get into the hard to diagnose things. Which is the gas cap. So instead of just getting me the needed gas cap he wanted to argue what it could also be. Like im going to pull My purge valve and check it instead of just replacing the gas cap then going from there. I hope he enjoyed it cause everytime i come in me and my pals will be sure to give this nitwit a hard time. You might know what your talking about. But any real mechanic starts with the EASY OBVIOUS answer. Which was not what you wanted me to do. You wanted to sell more parts send me down a wild rabbit hole. Do yourself a favor like ive learned in the past. head to O'Riellys where they even agreed its more then likely the gas cap. Which the manager admitted has been an issue more then once and caused this EXACT issue im having. This guy is a clown. Wants to argue so we will be sure to do that me and all my pals that live close and frequent there.

It is, frankly, hard to understand why auto parts stores like this remain in business. Recently, I…read morestopped in to purchase two replacement headlight bulbs for my daughter's car. I knew from the outset that I could purchase the bulbs on Amazon and have them delivered the next day but, as she needed to have the bulbs replaced before nightfall, I compromised and went to AutoZone instead - my mistake. I first checked with the guy at the counter, to confirm that the part number I had was correct; he checked his computer, confirmed it, and then told me to look for the number in the upper right hand corner of the package. (He could, of course, have walked to the bulb section of the store and found it along with me, but that would have involved some effort on his part- silly me for expecting actual customer service.) I found the bulbs I needed - $20 on Amazon, $29 here - and brought them to the counter to purchase. Same guy checked me out, didn't offer a bag nor say thank you, and promptly resumed his conversation with another staff member. Next time, I'll order the bulbs on Amazon and give the kid a ride to work for a day. It will be cheaper and make for a far more pleasant experience than shopping here. This isn't a one-off experience with AutoZone, by the way. Not long ago, I needed to replace one of the little plastic tabs that hold up the insulation panel under the hood of my car. On-line I could buy a dozen for $6; at AutoZone, I could buy two for $6. Ridiculous.

Where i was coming from at the time I so Happened to be closer to the one in Milton and also called the one downtown Tacoma or one by the TacMall I can't remember now smh but it was so frustrating that everytime I try to start my car, before work after work and when id need to run errands at the store or go get groceries and coming out to a dead ass car is not the best of times but I'd be meaning to check them out after one of my coworkers had mentioned that they even existed esp since I really got no clue when it comes to cars and mechanics & such and guess wasn't much good for me that my dad always had been the one who I'd go to if my brakes went bad "needed changing" or tires were worn out/ popped on me so guess I should've been paying more attention when he was helping with that cuz let me tell ya I dint eve know how to check the pressure of my tire let alone put air in them shut that's bad now that i think about it omggg smdh So anyways i believe his name was Kevin who had said tht he did have a battery to fix perfectly in my car for just $77 (and not $200+tax for brand new like I think Costco's was) so 77bucks out the door for me & now every time I go to my car I'm so relieved it actually just starts up like a normal car like best feeling ever lol And the main reason why I did not want to give 5stars is because when I pulled up, me & my friends had got done eating some Chinese food we had to eat for lunch & so my friend had waxed their plate of food & asked me to throw their ONE to go box in the trash can we had seen right out in front in the garage we were parked right up front of so when I asked our battery guy if that was okay ...(me being polite) he literally said no I wasn't able to throw my trash away & because I guess that so many ppl were like I guess throwing their trash out there but it was literally 1 damn to go box and so I had to bring it back n give my friend to hold onto it till we actually had got to throw when was getting gas smdh *They would probably have got the whole 5 starS if he had just abit better customer service(or whatever it's called) than that that we had got..
