Chad had my old battery out and the new battery in within no more than 5 minutes! Told me I had a warranty and the price point was amazing! You don't see genuine people like him very often, he was focused on getting a solution to my problem but alongside this he was very genuine. He wasn't just focused on the work but focused on the customer and getting to know me! This makes a big difference for me, and for that he gets 5 stars! I have bought a lot of batteries from Budget over the years, mostly at the Federal Way location. The prices are pretty good and they usually have plenty of stock on had to help you on the spot. The problem with the Puyallup location is the guy that is at the store is always a major A-hole. And, he is unreliable. Seriously, cocky, arrogant, abrasive, A-hole. Almost every time I go there on the weekend to buy a battery or have a battery checked that I bought, there is a hand written sign on the door saying closed early or I'm at lunch. 3 people sat in his parking lot for over an hour and he just never came back. He will also often open the store up a couple of hours late on Saturday morning. When I went back on Monday to get my battery checked since it went dead, he simply lied and said the sign yesterday said "closed today". This crap has happened the last 4 times I went there on the weekend. Just this last weekend I got there right as he was leaving at 1:40pm and he had hung a sign on the door saying "closing at 2pm today". When I asked him why he wasn't open for the hours on their website, he said he had things to do. And, he was an A-hole about it. I had to drive to the Tacoma location to get my problem resolved. How does this guy keep a job with an attitude like that. Whoever owns this store should find someone else. I would say avoid this place as long as he is there. I had over priced quotes from other places my husband calls budget batteries and asks them how much it would cost? It was $90.00 cheaper. He then tells him the issues I was having with les schwab giving me quotes from $170. To $148. Within 5 min. I even called another les schwab and he quoted me at $190. Chad the owner said it's $88 and this will be the price for her when she come in. My husband let me know and I brought the van to him. Chad greeted me outside and said I'll install it now give me a moment. 4 minutes later I was paying him the $88.+tax and we were back on the road. He was quick, friendly, and honest. Had my battery die while I was across the street from them, walked over for assistance and the man that had "helped" me was rude, unhelpful, and told me if I wanted his assistance I had to push my car across the street for them to test my battery...REALLY? Went to Napa auto parts, they tested my battery, supplied me tools to replace it, and sold me a good product with exceptional customer service. Avoid Budget Batteries. read more

I went to BB in a Puyallup today for a battery for my Mazda CX-5 today and couldn't be more pleased! Chad explained that the original equipment battery, made by Panasonic, usually don't last more than 3 or 4 years. My Mazda is a 2015. He removed the old battery and showed me on his tester that it indeed was on its last legs. He then put the new replacement battery on the tester to show me the difference in what the readings should be. Chad was super efficient, polite, respectful and pleasant and the entire exchange took no longer than 15 minutes. Above all, I drove away with a new battery with a 5 year warranty for $110 with tax! No up-sell, no long wait, just great, hassle-free, friendly service and product! I'm a repeat customer of BB and will continue to enthusiastically recommend them to others! read more

Les Schwab was jam packed, this place was 20 seconds away and I needed a fast replacement. The guy tested my battery, took it out and replaced it in a matter of minutes. I can't speak of the actual quality of their batteries but my car starts now and they have a 5 year warranty on it. Time will tell.... read more
