Not the best place to get parts. Depending on when you go, you will either get someone who knows about cars, or someone totally new.

I came here last night for a new battery because my car wouldn't start. Elio and the rest of the staff working seemed to be having a good time and made the experience a positive one. Elio and his coworkers all helped me find the battery that would fit properly on my car, which was more confusing than it sounds, and let me know to come back so they could test the alternator as well. Great service, and made me feel a little better about this $200 inconvenience. Then I went back this morning to return my old battery. I was helped by a Diojahray and the assistant manager was there too. I put my battery on the counter and was made to feel like me returning the battery was a major inconvenience. Diojahray had a very negative attitude and the assistant manager seemed more concerned with her run to 7-Eleven for snacks and drinks than making sure I had a good customer experience. I really want to emphasize how helpful the team last night was. Especially when buying something like car parts, it is really helpful when people are positive and excited to help. It makes it less intimidating and gives the consumer a lot more confidence than the negative and distracted atmosphere I entered this morning. Jesus was beyond helpful! I had no idea what I needed for my car. He was able to look at my license plate and see everything I needed to buy accordingly. This store needs new leadership. I frequent this location and the staff is helpful, especially Libby. She made a minor error on my last visit and needed help. The "boss" (some balding guy) came out from his cave with a bad attitude. He was extremely unprofessional and rude to both her and I. I tried explaining what had happened but he didn't listen to me or even make eye contact. I have been shopping with this company before they were O'Reilly's and I have never had an experience like this. Libby, hang in there, girl! Every time I come in here the old white dude in the front and the 2 other guys are so rude. They always look so stressed out and look to hate their job, why take it out on the customers? I get dragged to this O'Reilly's location all the time by my boyfriend. He is constantly working on his Jeep and needs parts, tools, etc. I haven't ever bought anything at this location, but I have been here enough times to know the staff is awesome (very helpful and friendly), they have a good selection of items (they always have what we are looking for), and the location is great (very close to our house). The parking lot is a little awkward to get in and out of, but it is manageable. read more

So today I was shopping for a headlight bulb and I brought the item to the counter because I had found this item at a cheaper price online. I asked the cashier whose name I believe is Sherika(apologies if I misspelled it) if she could price match it and she's said they usually do so she called her supervisor "Cassie" and when she saw the cheaper price on Amazon she said they only price match Walmart but she could meet in the middle for Amazon; price at this store was $54 and Amazon was $44 so I said okay while I search for the price on Walmart and when I found Walmart had the same price as Amazon and showed Cassie the cheaper price at Walmart, she said "Aah we don't price match Walmart online" I rolled my eyes when she said that and I knew this was my last purchase at this store. I'll be taking my business to Autozone from now on which is just across the way from this store. Customer service here is really the worst, no parts knowledge from the employees. They just sound like they know what they are talking about and try to update me a lot of things that I don't need when I already know what I need. Then they try to tell me that the part I want is the wrong one and they try to sell me the most expensive one. So I purchased the one they recommended and it ended up being the wrong part. I went back to return and get the original part I intended to purchase and and it ended up being the right fit. Places like these should definitely do a better job at placing people who at least know some car part knowledge or at least train them in what some parts are. read more

Elio asked when I purchased the last headlight lamps and when I told him 6-7 months ago he looked up my purchase and confirmed it had been less than 1 year. I usually get great service at this chain but the Kent store was vary different. I just needed some wiper blades. it started raining and the rubber split on mine. I couldn't figure out how to get them off of my truck so I went inside to ask if someone could assist me. The guy rolled his eyes and said, "There is nobody available to help you" There were at least 3 guys on the registers and one in the back as well. I offered to wait and he said, "I need to ring up the next customer in line maam." When I asked again after the line was empty, he repeated that nobody could assist me with that. Hmmpf.. I wont be back, I will go to the Covington store where I get great service 99% of the time. read more

This is the second place I went after being spoken to in a really condescending tone at another auto parts store. The young guy that helped me was super helpful, really informed and not even a little bit of condescension, which was really refreshing after an incredibly bad experience elsewhere. It is not far from where I live, so I'll be utilizing this location again and again and hopefully I will continue to have good experiences. Omg...the store clerk Jenkins at the kent store had the worst customer service, he was very rude and treated us really bad. Apparently he was running late or watever but treated my brother like shit pretty much. He was being an ass. I swear i will never go to the 240th store, tho other store clerks were nicer.
