Great place to pickup a battery. With little or no usage…read more Great people to work with. This place is easy to find off 321A.

I walked into the Mooresville location yesterday with a battery I purchased from this very store…read morejust two years ago--still well within its 4-year warranty. I had already removed the battery from my vehicle and driven 30 miles to return it. Although I'll refrain from calling out individuals by name, I was immediately told that the battery needed to undergo a 24-hour test to determine whether it would hold a charge. Then I was asked, "What do you want to do?" I explained that my truck was stranded and that waiting 24 hours simply wasn't an option. My concern received no meaningful response. Instead, my only choice presented was to purchase a new $270 battery while the original one was being tested. I was warned that if I installed the new battery, it would be considered "used" and non-returnable. I explained that this put me in a no-win situation, and only then was I told I might receive a refund if the original battery failed the test. To avoid being stuck with a non-returnable battery, I borrowed a car overnight and waited for the test results. When I called the next morning, I was told they never actually performed the test because they "have to take the batteries off the chargers when they leave for the night." Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience this caused, the employee launched into a long explanation of store policies and excuses. When I explained that I had borrowed someone else's car because of the misinformation I was given, I received a half-hearted "sorry"--delivered with an attitude that made it clear they didn't care. When I said I still felt I was being misinformed, the employee replied, "I resent that insinuation, and I need to take care of another customer." Then he hung up on me. After driving 30 miles, being misinformed, having my time wasted, being left without my own vehicle, and receiving dismissive and unprofessional treatment, I can confidently say this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had.
