I was told that my front brakes were at 1% and that I would eventually need to also have my back brakes fixed. So, I got the front brakes fixed, but when I picked up my car, I still heard a disturbing noise. I called Jake at Super Eagle and shared the concern. Jake responded appropriately and said to bring the car back. The sound became worse over the weekend. When I took it back, I did not get the same type of service as before -no text messages sharing the status of my car and no calls with updates. We called three times and only got voicemail. Upon finally hearing from them, I was told that my back brakes/pads were basically gone - metal on metal, and they couldn't/didn't even try to drive it to hear the sound. It is unacceptable that one week later, my car was worse. Hubby and I have concluded that they replaced the wrong brakes the first time. This mistake, the absence of updates, and the subpar level of service were extremely disappointing. Full disclosure - after expressing our displeasure, we were given a discount of maybe 15-20% Unfortunately, my initial excitement of finding a new shop for my Volvo is gone. I'll keep searching for a consistently dependable shop.

I told them I believed the issue was most likely the valve stem, and they said the repair would cost around $30. They took my car into the shop, and later told me that my tire had two bolts in it, and that the bolts were too close to the edge to be removed or repaired. Then they told me I needed to buy a new tire for about $200. I refused and asked them to put the wheel back on the car. After I left, I decided to remove the wheel myself and inspect the tire. To my surprise, there were no bolts in the tire at all. I removed the tire right in front of their shop, brought it to them, and asked them to show me where these supposed bolts were. Instead of explaining anything, the store manager started yelling at me and threatened to call the police if I did not leave.

Surprisingly, the tires arrived early, and the store contacted me on Friday, September 30. Despite being over two hours away in Sumter, SC, I returned their call on September 2 at 4:39 p.m. and was scheduled for an appointment at 11 a.m. on September 3rd. Given the distance, I woke up around 4 am to go to the gym, drop off my child, and then head to the store. I arrived 12 minutes late, yet I was told the 10:30 appointment was being serviced, so I would have to wait a few minutes. I was okay with this, but what followed was nothing short of a nightmare. My car was not pulled into a bay until 1:05 pm--two hours after my scheduled time. At 1:28 pm, I saw the serviceman drive off in the company vehicle. I looked in the bay to find my car jacked up with all the tires removed. I asked the front desk agent where the serviceman had gone, but she had no information. He returned only after 1:45 pm, offering no explanation or apology. I am sitting here at 1:52 p.m. with no car, missing all my meetings, and having a completely ruined day. This level of service is unacceptable. I will never return to this location and would not recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Avoid Rent-A-Wheel at all costs if you value your time and sanity.
