However .... he charged near $750 to replace fuel pump & 02 sensor but refused to provide an invoice of any kind, receipt for parts or record of a diagnostic report we paid $50 for ,that fee was to go toward repair, but he never applied the fee to repair! Worst of all is .. this "new" fuel pump failed just a few months later! If it was actually replaced it would be under warranty. I reached out to him & recently (finally!) he provided some Amazon receipt ( with parts totaling $92 / he charged me almost $300 for ) BUT those parts do NOT match as a fit for my son's year and model Jetta .... nor does that "Amazon" misfit match up as the fuel pump that was just removed & replaced ( w legit receipts proof of w old part physically removed & new parts with receipts ).. this was done by another legit mechanic !!! Larry stated once he received wrong fitting fuel pump initially, but could not provide receipt for the correct parts being ordered/ received. ??? Asking a mechanic to provide an invoice & receipt was is reasonable & an expected request !! Larry acted like I was crazy & disrespectful to even ask ! Like what ???? We had problems over past few months , like mentioned above fuel pump then recently completely failed . Turns out after a proper licensed mechanic did real diagnostics they determined neither part we paid was ever actually EVER replaced ! He simply used relay to get failing pump to function short term ! Our latest legit mechanic can testify he recently removed ORIGINAL pump. We have now replaced both parts . Larry did not ,but charged us for these parts and labor. He also seems he caused more issues by messing with rigging relay ! Idk , but in a nutshell, Larry stopped replying to me , refused to provide receipts for any such fitting parts / warranties , diagnostic report ... just plain refused to provide any type of invoice or attempt to do anything to make this right at all. I gave him numerous chances to provide receipts & come out & rectify /repair. He stopped responding. I have reported him to BBB. Please don't let this happen to you!! It's costing us more money, time & headache :-0 Just another FYI, according to our legit mechanic Larry also overcharged for us what he didn't even do. Unbelievable !!

The customer service associates are unfriendly and unhelpful if you have a question. If they know you they will help you and if they don't know you they are unwilling to go the extra mile. There are 2 or 3 of the associates there who I'd like to name but I won't but they are just unfriendly and they have a nasty odor about them that makes me wanna throw up every time I'm around them. I have met some really nice people who work there in the past but since the pandemic began the guys who put up stock are not friendly and they act like you are bothering them if you have Questions about where is this or that. I normally give good reviews to every company I deal with but when there is an honest review that needs addressing then I think people should tell it like it really is. Also you can only blame the crappy management in these Walmarts in Gaston county. When you have lousy management, you'll always have lousy employees. Remember it always starts at the top.

I was standing at the counter and an employee was checking me out. Another employee came by and said, "Come on let me show you". This employee leaves me at the counter and says absolutely nothing. One of the tire guys (Patrick) comes in from the bay. I asked, "Are you the manager?" His response, "No, I am not". Patrick goes back to the bay. I'm still standing there along with 2 other customers. Patrick comes back and uses phone for something. I call the store number and describe my situation and request to speak to a manager. The Operator rings me through. At this point, Patrick hears me and decides to check me out. The store manager never answered the phone. I will never go there again.

The employee talked about "snakes" for approximately 10 minutes with the customer while my girlfriend waited behind this customer talking about snakes! Yes, 10 minutes! And, YES! Snakes, the reptiles! I entered the store to meet my girlfriend and the employee and customer were still talking about snakes! Finally, the customer left. I then asked this employee if they could check the codes on our engine check light. The employee, slowly laid his elbows on the counter, gazed at us, paused and then shook his head back and forth without saying a word. Then he said, "no, we do not provide that service." I simply walked out. Oh my gosh! He was so rude and disrespectful. I own and operate three businesses and this guy would be fired in a heart beat! Never will go back! And if you are reading this, there are too many other auto stores in and around Belmont with much helpful and professional employees. It's obvious, NAPA has lowered their standards on employees and stopped their training.
