I don't normally post things like this, but this was scary and incredibly frustrating…read more Our golf cart uses SLIGC8AGM batteries. We went to Batteries Plus for help and were sold the WRONG battery -- not once, but twice -- by two different employees who both said it was a perfect match. Both times, when we got home and plugged it in, our entire house filled with a sulphur smell around midnight. The battery was burning hot. It could have easily started a fire. Today we spent $2,400 replacing all six batteries correctly... and we're now out almost $500 on the wrong ones they sold us. No refund. Just "sorry." I must say the associates today were AMAZING, it doesn't change the fact that my house could have burnt down but they were fabulous. This wasn't our mistake. It was dangerous, careless, and it's all in their system. I trusted the experts, and our home and safety were put at risk. I would hope that the team would, at a minimum offer a refund on the wrong batteries to us.

Noticed my battery was acting up and knew I possibly needed a new battery. A particular gentleman…read moreby the name of Dave helped me. He was very knowledgeable, very helpful and was not pushy at all. He offered to test my battery free of charge to make sure I needed a new battery. Most places would rather just charge me for a new replacement. Cudos to the staff at this location for the awesome customer service. I'll be shopping at batteries plus and this location for the foreseeable future.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, especially for businesses in a small community, but this…read moreexperience was incredibly frustrating. I'm a repeat customer, and today I was given the wrong brake caliper pin for my vehicle. I called ahead, explained that the incorrect part had put my repair on hold, and was told they were sorry for the mistake. I also explained that I would be arriving right at closing and specifically asked if they could please stay open just a minute or two so they could correct an error they had made. I arrived at 7:58 for an 8:00 closing time and found the store already closed. I then saw employees coming out of the building and asked why they hadn't waited, especially after I had called and explained the situation. The response was essentially, "company policy," followed by another apology. That's what bothers me most. Mistakes happen. Giving me the wrong part is annoying, but understandable. What is much harder to understand is making the mistake, knowing it left a repeat customer stranded in the middle of a repair, agreeing that I was on my way, and then closing early anyway. In a town like Star, customer service and relationships should matter. I wasn't asking anyone to stay half an hour late. I was asking for a couple of minutes so the business could remedy its own mistake. Instead, I wasted a trip, my vehicle is still torn apart, and the repair has to wait another day. An apology is nice, but customer service is really measured by what a business does after something goes wrong. Tonight, that fell very short.

I expect to pay a little more and I prefer going to O'reilly's than Walmart but not over 33% more…read more Example; Mobil1 Synthetic motor oil at O'reilly $43.00 and Walmart $29.00. My total bill at O'reily for oil change stuff and wiper blades was almost $170.00. I had to walk away and leave the stuff on the counter. Went to Walmart and paid $128.00 for the exact same products. This is a shameful difference in price and I don't think I'll ever walk into an O'reilly's again.
