Yay! Another Korean grocery store! Do not be fooled by the little japanese written on their sign. It's mostly korean but a lot of korean food stuff is interchangeable. Like korean soy sauce for japanese soy sauce. It will still taste the same. ;-)
I was impressed at what a good collection of korean frozen stuff they had. The different, dumplings, fish cakes, frozen noodles, frozen sliced pork and fish roe. Did I see Natto? (japanese fermented soy beans) Nope. But I did see a lot of other korean side dishes and 4 or 5 different shapes for dduk for dduk bokki so really...
Give it a rest poser! To be fair they do say "Oriental favourite store" under their name but... ugh... come on. Every one of employees in the store was Korean. 90% of your merchandise is korean. You look like duck, quack like a duck. Dude! You're a korean duck! Claim it! own it!
Even your 2 white customers in front of me, who were from Itaewon, smelled you a mile away and said Gamsa hamnida as they left. I had to laugh. (inner chuckle, inner chuckle)
Great prices, like a 1.20 for a plate of Haemool Pajun (seafood pancake). Which is great because I could never finish a whole one and 3.50 for a small salmon sashimi plate. Amazing! And they lower their prices on fresh food stuff closer to closing time.
I'll get over the japanese on the name because it's the best Korean grocery store I've seen in central london. It would be funny if the writing meant korean food in japanese! LOL! read more
