Food/Cost: (4) I got my breakfast here while waiting for my tour guide to find other passengers on our tour whose flights were to arrive shorting after my arrival. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Sandwich (4.95 euros) and asked for tomatoes in addition to the other sandwich fillings listed on the item description. The wheat bread had the grains to add texture, and they are generous with the fillings - in my case, tomatoes, capers, cream cheese, smoked salmon, and onions. A decent sandwich that fulfilled my expectations for a grab-n-go sandwich bar.
Ambiance: (3) There isn't much in the way of ambiance as you get your food and find a seat in the seating area nearby or in the seating areas dispersed throughout the airport. Ambiance is the airport terminal ambiance -- bustling.
Location: (5) This O'Briens is located conveniently in the Main Terminal Building of the Dublin Airport. It's a great choice for arriving passengers in need of some grub, early departing passengers who don't need to go through security and the gates yet, or people waiting for arriving visitors.
Service: (4) The woman behind the counter was friendly enough, even at 8:30 in the morning. She cheerfully, efficiently made my sandwich and agreeably allowed me to add additional toppings onto my sandwich.
Overall: (4) If you're at the airport and feel like some semi-healthy fare, O'Briens is a solid choice. In fact, I think I would eat more O'Briens elsewhere if I lived in the European and Asian countries where they have locations. It's a great sandwich bar and pretty well priced for pretty fresh fare. read more
