I went to Mr. Tire in Absecon to get my tire replaced because I knew it was under warranty. The manager, who claimed his name was Joey, was extremely rude from the very beginning. He demanded me to carry in my tire so he could check the size (because he "ain't going out there"), and he told me that my tire didn't have road hazard insurance so it wasn't able to be replaced. I asked him to check for a defect, and he referred me to corporate. Corporate wasted 30 minutes of my time and said they couldn't do anything, that the store had to do it. I went back, and Joey eventually took my tire for inspection. I eventually located my original tire invoice on accident, and saw that my tire was, in fact, covered by road hazard insurance. My dad brought the invoice to Joey, who AGAIN told us to call corporate. He refused to talk to my dad. After calling corporate, I was offered a $22 discount, but wasn't told how they calculated that price. Mind you, this was weeks after originally going into the store, after hours of corporate calls and driving to the store. $22 BARELY covered the original road hazard insurance cost, let alone a new tire. They claimed my tire had worn down from 9/32 of an inch to 4/32, but when we asked for the tire back, they said they threw it out. We got an invoice for a new tire, and I reported the company to the BBB. The BBB made absolutely no progress and closed the case. I decided to just purchase the tire and move on, never going to Mr. Tire again. But of course the story doesn't end there!! I went to Mr. Tire on Sunday to pick it up, and Joey didn't even try to look it up on the computer. He said he didn't know where the tire was and to come back later. Mind you, he works there 5 out of 7 days of the week (someone else covers on Tuesday and Friday, but it is during regular business hours when my dad and I work). My dad finally decided to go into the store and demand the tire. Joey immediately saw my dad and threatened to call the police. My dad said that he only wanted to pick up the tire and leave, but Joey ran inside the store and bolted the doors. When the police arrived, they told my dad that this has happened several times before with other people not getting back things from this Mr. Tire location. Joey "couldn't find" the invoice for the tire and couldn't locate the tire, so my dad and I were forced to get our invoices to prove that the tire even existed. When the tire was located, they charged my dad $98 (the original invoice charged $170) and the police said that my dad was not allowed on the property again (but they were unsure if it was only for this location or all Mr. Tire locations). This is the concise version of the story. It is so much worse with details. I would recommend NEVER going there. And if you meet a very rude middle-aged white man with a hunch from a bad back, possibly named Joey, I would recommend avoiding him. I have no clue how he is still allowed to work there.

He and his wife Josephina Lanzaro in late 1800's owned both a farm of 20 acres and adjoining Gas Station/Store. See below picture!! He owned the property from 1890 - 1926 until they relocated to Stamford, CT....a manufacturing hub along Long Island Sound where they purchased a large tract of land for $3000.00 eventually selling a parcel to Atlantic Refining Company by 1933. The name of the Elm Gas Station was "ELM SERVICE STATION". "That Good Gulf Gasoline and Supreme Auto Oil." (I wonder where the sign is?) (Note, Elm was absorbed by Hammonton eventually.) The picture shows the Gas Station and building and Antonio Lanzaro! Thank you for this opportunity!! The picture shows two pumps with the glass cylinders, an auto bay and a storefront window. Note: In the 1920's, their Gasoline sold for approximately $0.16 per gallon. Of ten Lanzaro children, the girls worked on the farm and the boys ran the gas station and store. When I interviewed the farming generation, John Lanzaro dob 1913, he relayed memory of he and his older brother Jim working on a car that exploded and burned his hand. Later I read my vehicle manual which states"...synthetic blend is recommended." The next time i brought my truck to Al and Rich's I told them I wanted what my vehicle manual recommended (synthetic blend) They told me that they put full synthetic in my truck last time and HAD to put it in again even after I told them Chevrolets recommendation. I then asked them why they told me the first time that I was required to use full synthetic. No answer was given. I can't take my vehicle somewhere where I can't trust the company and this is definitely a place you can't trust. If you are planning on going here, read your operators manual and be well-versed the FIRST time you go or they will try to charge you as much as possible. I went down the road and got my oil changed to Chevrolets recommendations and it will save me $40 each oil change!!!

He broke a bunch of things in the process of taking the motor and trans out and then charge me for it. And if that's not bad enough I called the parts store that he said he was using to find he was Charging me double for the parts. A 3 day job turned into a month. And when I asked to see the receipts for what he paid for he said no. So when I left there with my daughter's van I now have to put out at least 300 more for an alignment and another sensor that he broke finishing the job
