I had a disappointing experience NYU Langone Radiology in Forest Hills due to an interaction with the nurse who did my injection. The rest of the staff was okay. Throughout the visit, this nurse (Nurse Maya) made multiple unnecessary comments were made regarding my body size and appearance that came across as passive-aggressive, unprofessional, and disrespectful. The overall communication style made the experience uncomfortable and did not feel patient-centered. Very repulsive attitude and behavior Patients should be treated with professionalism and respect, especially in healthcare settings where people may already feel vulnerable or anxious. I will not be coming back to this location. I've had great experiences with NYU Langone facilities, but this location is just not it. read more

Beware about your dexa. Dexas are notoriously flawed as a given, but then you have inept people here who are using templates from other patients on your report, not correcting as they go, and putting in criteria that you didn't enter into the kiosk in the waiting area -- which affect your FRAX score. One has to wonder with this level of ineptitude, what else is inaccurate on your dexa? An endocrinologist looked at my report and said other things don't make sense on it. I would say you can't trust any result on any imaging, or ANY doctor, and you need to watch everything like a hawk. Serious problem. read more

The technicians are precise and great with their skills. The front desk is the disconnect. The demeanor and consistency of interaction is not standard. I observed the unacceptable behavior not only with myself but others checking in. The first issue was a referral by their physician to return. A notice sent to me to return for a follow-up and no request for a referral from my physician. I made an appointment and no request was made. I arrived early for my appointment to wait as they requested a referral from my doctor. My appointment was delayed over an hour. My results were posted to MyChart and I received a text message and email. I called Queens Medical Imaging and was told to call my doctor. The physician at Queens Medical Imaging called me and apologized as the front desk should have advised a doctor will call me. Latest scenario, I picked up a CD and was advised by my surgeon that the CD was incomplete. I returning today after leaving a message for medical records. A representative from medical records returned my call and advised me no problem, arrive before 4:30 PM to request CD of my past procedures. I arrived and the front desk representative was very aggressive in her speech. I reiterated my conversation with medical records and that the initial CD was incomplete. I did not have the specific dates of past procedures. When a human being receives a diagnosis; compassion should be primary. No one should feel overwhelmed trying to access treatment and or records. read more

This is the WORST NYU Langone facility. The manager Madelyn Dunbar is rude and doesn't take accountability for her staff errors. I had an appointment for 03/07/2025 at 5 pm. Their staff called to reschedule because I already have a knee replacement and the MRI would be 1hr and there wasn't enough time according to her. I explained my follow up appointment with my doctor was on 03/10/2025. The person who called gave me an appointment for 03/10/2025 at 8am told me to be there at 7:45 am. When I arrived there was only 1 patient there. Receptionist tells me someone canceled my appointment on my mychart. Well I didn't cancel it. I haven't even been on my mychart so how did it get canceled. The Receptionist goes to speak to her manager (Madelyn Dunbar) she comes back and says my manager will call you tomorrow morning. I told her I have a doctor appointment the next day and need the MRI report. I want to speak to the manager now and I'm not leaving till I speak to a manager. She calls her and I speak to Madelyn Dunbar I explain I'm in pain, discomfort and having issues with my knee. No apology, no empathy she says they are booked the place is completely empty she claims there is a patient with a 8am appointment but it is now 8:17am and it's empty no patient. She was argumentative and dismissive. Kept saying I'm home and there is nothing I can do and if I don't leave she will have me removed. So I asked if she's threatening? She said you stated you're not leaving. I reiterated I stated I wasn't leaving till I spoke to the manager. Avoid this place like a plague they are incompetent. They LIE. They SCARE women. They put a metal pin for life WITHOUT oral NOTICE. They told me I was not going to be charged when I ASKED for the cost. They charged my insurance close to $8K based on their IGNORANCE AND OR GREED!!! And when they kept telling me that they DON'T KNOW if 0.5cm normal part of my body was ok they put me through a biopsy and refused to remove it!!! I guess so that they could charge more. After they suck the money of my insurance they started sending me bills, I paid about $300 and they sent me another one today. The person on billing and customer service through each other the ball about COST. They are a SCAM, they don't tell you the amount and when pressured, they told me the insurance was going to pay everything but they lied. The worst part, is when you have something so minuscule the right thing is to remove it and not cause inflammation and put a metal niddle for life in your body without notice! This is about breast cancer screening - mammograms and ultrasounds. I suggest you go SOMEWHERE ELSE. Every year, this place tells me and my doctor that my first screening "indicates the need for additional imaging." Every year. And then, I have to waste hours of time getting referrals, and prescriptions, and scheduling more screening. It takes weeks to months to get on the schedule because the person who does the re-screening, isn't in much. And then - what do I find out ? That there is no problem. Never was a problem. Every single year. In the end, someone who knows what they're actually doing, looks at all the scans and tells me there is no problem - and they wouldn't have sent me to additional screening at all - it was someone else's judgement call. God knows NYU doesn't bother to compare previous and current screenings before intimidating my doctor and me into additional screenings. They know that any doctor who sees NYU recommend more screening is going to force their patient into it. Its a money grab. Its incompetence. Every year. Never again. read more

I'm giving 2 stars for this place because the technician who actually did my sonogram was very nice, gentle and seemed to care about the patients. If not this place would get one star because the front desk staff are rude, unprofessional and unpleasant towards the patients. Upon entering there are 2 women right next to the door. The one girl is so abrasive in how she greets you "hi you have an appointment?!!!" Extra loud & pointing the stupid inaccurate thermometer at your forehead even if you ask for your temp to be taken on your pulse instead. She very rudely states "No, I'm sorry we cannot take it there!" Never have i heard of this I've been going to appointments during covid & all places are very accomadating if you request to have your temp taken via pulse instead. Then she's asking you the questions regarding if you have symptoms, etc, she doesn't give you a chance to answer the first question before she's asking the next. I sat there watching her as she addressed other people who walked in and she was just as rude and unprofessional. This woman seriously needs some training in customer service. She answered her cell phone while working and was very combative towards patients. She was even speaking about patients as if they weren't even in the same room. Also, this place has too many people waiting in the waiting room at one. I also witnessed a woman who I assumed was the manager tell a mom with her son and baby that her son couldn't be seen til 4:30 so they needed to leave because it was another 45 minutes till 4:30. She was very uncaring about the fact that it was 32 degree weather outside and didn't care if maybe this family had nowhere else to go to wait. While waiting in the back to be brought into a room I heard a technician talking to a patient about the fact that her daughter's school was closed due to covid. She was trashing teachers and even named the school. You never know who knows who & it was very unprofessional for her to be talking about teachers and being specific about what school & also to be talking to a patient about this was very unprofessional as well. By the way, this place is now called NYU Langone Radiology- being affiliated with NYU, you would think it would be better. read more

I came here as instructed by my doctor for a sonogram ages ago. An appointment must be made as well as a doctor's referral are both required before any examination are performed. This imaging center has somewhat of the latest technology for sonograms; MRI; CAT scans, ultrasound, etc. The service was attentive as the jelly for the track ball on my body was warm. However, all results are faxed or sent to one's doctor(s) thus as patients you never know the results unless hounding this imaging center numerous times directly. Taking an exam is the anticipation of being very nervous to the point where the anxiety consumes you to become vile inside out. Yet, when the exam is over you sadly don't know the results. read more

Chaotic parking lot to say the least, keep your head up and your eyes wide open. If you are in need of a speedy MRI or sonogram, Queens Medical Imaging is a safe bet. Once inside, the main desk to the right has close to six office workers working at close to peak capacity. They're cranking out patients to be processed and seen by one of the many technicians. I was very surprised how many smaller rooms stretched so far back from the dividing doors. The facility appeared to have updated equipment, though not a trained eye and the process was painless and seemed very thoroughly performed. read more

Do not understand any negative review. Went here today for a lumbar CT scan, do not think I was even there 25 minutes! I checked into the Front Desk, super nice, friendly young man. I did not even wait 5 minutes, while I was called in by the Technician Howard for the scan. He was absolutely fantastic! Took my history, reassured me, even offered me his hand in getting me up from the machine, scan time less than 5 minutes. Thank you Queens Medical Imaging PC for your great service, and great staff. I have been using this facility for years and was always dealt with courtesy, respect and professionalism, however the last two times I went there the receptionist was very cold and rude. She treated me as I was bothering her and she was very dismissive. I pay a lot for the insurance I have to go to a medical facility that's going to treat me like a second class citizen. Super friendly staff and very attentive to your needs. I would recommend this play. The front desk people were polite and helpful in answering all my questions. The nurses and technicians were so caring, one of them saw that I was cold and immediately ask me if I wanted a blanket. I only waited for about half an hour for Saturday morning. And yes, I've been there plenty of times for different procedures and the staff made what could be very uncomfortable easy for me. Horrible! I called them Saturday morning at 9:00 to make a same day appointment for a knee x-ray. I was told I didn't need an appointment and to just come in any time before 3:00. I got there at 1:00 and they told me they were all booked up for the day. There were 3 people in the waiting room. When I explained what I was told to the girl at the desk all she said was "well we're all booked up". Lazy and rude. Probably just wanted to go home early. Will never give them business again. I needed to have a pelvic MRI done yesterday for my very first time ever. It was to be done with and without contrast. I was understandably pretty nervous. From the receptionist that I had for my check in, to the nurse taking me to the locker room/changing area, to the woman performing my actual MRI- great experience overall. I would recommend anyone to this location. The office is immaculate and very modern. Everyone I had dealings with were very nice, friendly, welcoming. Very professional. The woman doing my MRI walked me through everything step by step, she was very warm & bubbly, completely put myself at ease. I would absolutely return here for future tests. read more

I came here as it was the only, earliest appt at a "Langone" facility based on my doctor's referral. Much rather would have stayed in the city. As the others reviewed, the receptionist, the lead tech, everyone here is downright rude. The worst is Sophia, but they are all the same level of cockiness. They talk down to you, are insulting, and to go with everything else, the place is unkempt. The only reason for an extra star is the tech Stephanie who I had, she was incredible. Service has gone downhill here. I waited longer than usual for my appointment (about an hour) during my last visit. When I asked them why it was taking so long, they asked me if there was something wrong with my prescription. Not only did they make me sit around for an hour, they expected me to know the reason why and nothing was communicated to me during that entire time. My address also recently changed. QMI is a very warm place, considering its clinical nature. it is clean, comfortable, and modern. the staff is quite helpful and always explains every step. so far i have had 3 MRIs, a venous doppler exam, and a set of x-rays done at this facility, and i am always impressed with their technicians. the female MRI tech (i'm sorry, i cannot recall her name) in particular is a standout. my only complaint is about appointment times. i made 2 appts on successive days for my last 2 MRIs. one was at 6:30pm on Monday, the other was 5pm on Tuesday. however, both "confirmation calls" i received stated i should arrive at 6pm on Monday and 4:30pm on Tuesday. if it's necessary that i arrive a half-hour ahead of my appointment time, why not just make the appointment for the earlier one? it was quite confusing and seemingly unnecessary. otherwise, highly recommend this place. my podiatrist in Manhattan said he was very familiar with them and that they are one of the good ones :) read more

Came here for full abdominal and pelvic sonograms. They ask you get there 30 minutes early, to fill out paper work and deal with payment and in the case of certain sonograms, get your fill of water before hand. They were efficient, i was called just 5 min after my 9am appointment, the girl I had was about my age (25 or so) and very sweet. She was very thorough and i was in and out fairly quickly. No complaints. I suggest making an early morning appointment as when I left the office, there were FAR more people in the waiting room than when i had arrived at 8:30. If you ever have to get a CT Scan or MRI DO NOT go Queens Medical Imaging on Austin Street. I Had a CT scan and have a tumor on adrenal gland but the radiologist screwed up my Hounsfield Units between what was noted in the notes (high) and what is noted on the picture (low). So either I have cancer or I don't and can't get a response from the radiologist to clarify. And they aren't returning my Dr's emails or my calls. DO NOT GO HERE. Your actual life might depend on it. I should have gone to the City where they are professional and accurate. I have been waiting 4 days to find out if I have cancer. Try doing that. read more

I have to say that I was surprised with how fast I got my results for my mri. I was told by my doctor to expect two to the business days but the next morning, com'mon? I had my mri on a Friday at 7:30 pm and my doctor received my results at 8:30 am the next day! The mri looked state of the art. Receptionist was pleasant when I arrived and the documents I had to fill out are standard. Definitely come at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to get all that paperwork done. Only thing that is a negative is the poor shape of the locker room but I was only in there for 5 minutes. read more

There is a parking lot you may use and did tell me over the phone that they validate your ticket if you have an MRI or CT scan but I found street parking right in front fairly quickly (3 hour street parking =$6). read more

I came here for my first time mammogram and the technician was very accomodating. I wasn't anxious at all. The radiologist is also very knowledgeable and attentive. I made my appointment and was never asked for prior images prior reports. I was told to come to my appoint by 12:15. I was only asked to bring script and ins card. I then arrived and was told I could not have my test done becuase they had nothing to compare too, I made them aware no one told me to bring any prior test. I then was told I need a mamo with my breast ultra sound. I only scheduled a breast ultra sound. The manager Madelyn came to try and explain why certain things were needed but it made no sense and did not justify why I couldn't receive my breast ultra sound today at my appointment. I understand she is following rules she was given but they were not justified. Now I have been sitting in a room for over an hour without any test being done and I'm disappointed NYU do better! You shouldn't treat patients this way. How can you demand a mamo without results from a breast ultrasound how can you tell a patient imaging can't be done without prior images and never tell your patients that it is required at the time of the appointment. It seems as if NYU is attempting to bill for in needed images that aren't warranted. read more

I was here once, but I've been to NYU before, and did not know they're affiliated with NYU, since they knew my name and DOB, etc when I called up to make an appointment. With most places, you're usually not able to get an appointment for the next day. I was early, as you should to fill out paperwork, and I was seen on time. X-rays take 5 minutes and I was in and out. The x-ray tech was very nice. The staff was very friendly. I know some people who get there before and seen after are not happy, but it depends on the test you're there for. Queens imaging was ready to give me an unnecessary biopsy. They said I had s lump on my breast . Went to 2 breast surgeons . No lump found . Also 1 doctor i went to said I was the 3rd Person this month that this happened to. Be careful ladies they make a lot of money on a biopsy. read more

I have had MRI studies done here on several occasions, and the facility and staff were excellent, BUT be prepared to wait way beyond your scheduled appointment. This facility appears to over book appointments and the waitingroom was packed everytime I had an appointment. NO complaints regarding any other issues. Everyone was super nice, the place is clean, and the Doctors and follow up was excellent. BUT just know that you most likely will NOT be seen until 30 to 60 mins after waiting PAST your appointment. read more
