I thought I was at NYE but the service department was at the smaller dealership bought out by NYE . I had to tow my truck for a problem in the transmission . My backend axle locked up and would not shift.. There was no burning smells or lights or warnings. My truck was just over the warranty 110k and never had any problems with it. There were reports of a shifting modules that can malfunction and cause a lock up of the transmission and are a $200 part etc. so I asked if it was a recall, or a digital software mode shifter etc electronic. . They said since no check engine light was on, it could only be the actual transmission failure and nothing electronical . They said they would have to "drop the transmission to replace any modes or parts anyhow "and it was a charge to drop to diagnosis the problem" . It was a total transmission bill of $7k with a rebuilt replacement from GM. I later learned that there are actual recalls for the chevy silverado for clutch pack probems, other software issues etc. and other issues that can effect transmissions on other models and currently covering the same transmission. There was a software recall and other recalls that should have been discussed if they did a through diagonosis . I would not recommed this dealership based on the unprofessional service I received , and the treatment of the customer by the service manager. read more

I have been bringing my Ford expedition to NYE Ford for service since 2015 and even though I bought the vehicle elsewhere the service has been exceptional. I now bring my Audi there for tires and to transfer all season to winter and back in the spring. Highly Recommend Their service dept and fantastic service advisors & crew. read more

Our family has been loyal NYE customers for years, considering them our go-to Ford dealer despite the extra distance. Recently, I visited NYE to have my car appraised and potentially order a new vehicle if the numbers worked out. The dealer was friendly and took photos of my truck, explaining that his top appraiser wasn't in but would assess the trade-in value later. We built out my new car, and he assured me I'd hear back the next day with all the numbers I'd need to start the deal. I also asked if NYE could buy my car the day I signed the contract and arrange a rental that I could pay for in the meantime. He confirmed they could. However, the next day passed with no word, so I left him a voicemail. He called back the following morning at 8am, only to ask if I was sure about the rental--still no numbers. He promised I'd hear from the appraiser by Friday, but Friday, Saturday, and Sunday came and went with no call. When I called on Monday, I got no answer until Tuesday, when the dealer finally called back, confused that no one had reached out to me. He also mentioned that they might not be able to handle the rental in-house but could work with a rental company instead. Several days later, the appraiser finally called, informing me that NYE could no longer arrange a rental or even buy my car until my new one was ready. At that point, I decided to look elsewhere since I had hoped to trade in my car sooner. After a few days, I reconsidered and decided I'd be open to buying something off the lot instead. I called back to ask for a trade-in value, as I still hadn't received any figures during this whole process, but I was told I'd have to bring my car in again for a mechanical inspection. This was frustrating since I'd already brought it in the week before and the dealer is an hour away from my home. When I expressed my frustration, I was told I could get a rough estimate, but only after starting the buying process for a new car. I felt jerked around and disrespected by the entire experience. I would be very careful with your paperwork!! Read everything. Bought a truck with a 120000 mile warranty. The person that sold it to us later called and changed it to a 50000 mile warranty. We never got a refund or we told until I tried to use the warranty at another dealership The new owners of the dealership will not cover the warranty. They asked the warranty company to refund us 100%. We got a check for 60%. Went through BBB and not much they can do. Now we paid $2995 for a full warranty and $1200 for a body warranty the is no longer valid. I would just be very careful!! Read all your paperwork because we got scammed. My car with less than 30,000 miles has been in and out of the shop all summer. They refuse to give me a loaner car but I have been without a car for the last 3 weeks. Driving the truck we bought from them less then a year ago, Which is in need of repair that they are waiting for parts which I need to drive because my car isn't available because it is in their service Department .... I never do this but i'm pissed. If you know me, you know that my father worked for Nye Ford in Oneida most of my life. He passed in 2019 and out of habit we leased a vehicle for Mom there. They charged her $350/month to lease it, which was fine since it was brand new at the time. Four years later, the lease ends and she decided to buy it. Unfortunately, she made this deal alone at 85 years old. There is absolutely no respect for the millions my father made for the company over his career. They charged her 10.8% interest and valued the vehicle thousands over Blue Book and NADA numbers. Then, to top it off they confused her into signing a warranty for another $2500. We went there today to cancel the warranty since it will likely never be used. The agreed to cancel it but only in the sense that the $2500+tax would come out at the end of loan, i.e. they still got her for $2500.... DO NOT BUY FROM NYE'S ... these are not the same people anymore, this is a bunch of jackasses no better or worse than any of the other 5000 used car snake oil salesman in this state. read more

Bought a 2020 Ford Edge after trading in a 2018 Edge. Purchased with the understanding that a $300 accessory I had bought for the 2018 could be transferred to the 2020. It didn't work even though the Ford online literature said it would. Ford customer service proved to be an oxymoron. No help whatsoever. Fortunately the service manager at Nye was phenomenal. He went above and beyond and managed to make it work. I would highly recommend this dealership and its service department. read more

We called a few days ahead to have 4 Goodyear tires ordered and ready for our installation appointment today. Went to NYE ford today to have the 4 tires installed on our RV. The tires were there and we thought everything would go smoothly until the SERVICE MANAGER told us that the dealership didn't have the proper equipment install the tires. WHF! We had traveled an hour to this location and they gave us a line of bull for not wanting to install the tires we think because they under priced the installation and came up with a lame excuse to not do the job. We have NEVER had such a horrible experience with tire installation - we WON'T ever go to NYE again! read more
