My kids love NYc style pizzas and saw this place . Didn't think twice to buy some pizzas home . Location wise it's slightly off .. 3rd Avenue - nothing much of restaurants here .. and this one was good . no parking .. ambience was good Lots of space inside and lots of chairs inside to sit and eat . Service was quick . Not many inside when I went .. got some pizzas and they were good . Slightly pricey but ok for the location. 2 slices was about 10$ with tips. They display a wide range of pizzas when you enter , and it is so satisfying . You will be tempered to buy more . :) good experience overall . 4 stars read more

Stopped by for a late night snack after some drinks and was pleasantly surprised! Look, this isn't a Michelin star establishment. It's solid pizza with solid service for a solid price. It's open late, has a TON of options, and great workers. Had the chicken parm pasta and pizza and the portions were HUGE! Will definitely be going back after another late night. read more

The quality of food is on par with your very average NYC pizza place. I found the pizza to be decent. The crust was crispy, though the slices are not that big and they could use more tomato sauce. However, there are a couple of positives that this place has over others. One, they have a good amount of indoor seating and even set up some outdoor seats too in the warm weather. Two, they actually have a very extensive menu that not all pizza places have. They have pizza, sandwiches, pasta, stromboli, calzones, garlic knots, burgers, French fries, sandwiches, and salads. They even sell desserts, which you can see on display. Back in the day, a lot of neighborhood pizza places also offered the same, but it is less common nowadays as these places are trying to maximize profit. read more

I had my doubts before coming here and I am so happy they proved me wrong. First off, I was craving some crispy pizza and the slices I got did not disappoint. The crisp and no flop slices were what I was craving. The staff were top notch and the food was great. The seating area was roomy and comfy. No complaints about anything. Located at the intersection via East 28th Street & 3rd Ave. This casual, self-serve pizzeria has quite a lot of seating on the entire premise although not being too big of a space. Trendy music gets played in the background. Place is being kept clean for the most part by staff. Ambiance is like your typical spot with the pizzas being stored in glass displays with the signs indicating which type of pizza they are. Very fast service from friendly staff. Finally, there's a restroom for customers. They've both thin sliced and deep dish pizzas. Two prices are listed on the takeout menu: cash + credit card/debit. Utensils can be given upon request. The thin sliced ones are pretty crispy and can withstand the crispiness even after 15 mins. I have chosen the penne vodka (pasta) slice and tastes very flavorful even though it can stay a little longer in the oven and can be hotter in temperature. I don't like lukewarm pizzas for lunch. Cheese hasn't been melted that well either. As for the deep dish slice, I felt like it falls short in my opinion. The base of the crust is very crunchy but the top part is kinda sloppy and soggy (too much moisture). The sliced sausage feels dry and stale....somewhat like the texture of rubber. Probably has been put out too long in the glass display throughout the day. My Conclusion: Go for the thin slices! Stay away from the deep dish pizzas! read more

I absolutely love this pizzeria! I come here with my toddlers who rave about the pizza and the manager who over the years has become their best friend. She always such a ray of sunshine to our day when we stop by for some slices. Aside from the pleasant service, the pizza is really the best pizza we've had. I have tried a couple of dishes such as their chicken parm, penne ala vodka, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, lemon chicken, to name a couple and not one dish ever disappointed. The entrees also come with either a side of soup or salad. Everything is fresh and delicious. 10/10! They also have a nice selection of pastries which are also very fresh. read more

They're meeting a need which is open late, real NYC style pizza that is no frills. While this place isn't gonna blow you away or have you coming back/lines out the door, it's a staple sort of spot keeping NYC's character and tradition of pizza. I was expecting a lot less from the flavor, but it honestly wasn't bad at all. Is there a ton of better pizza in NYC? You bet. There's also a lot worse. If I were in the area with some friends out of town who have never had NYC pizza and were hungry I would consider showing them this place just to get a feel for what NYC style is. If you're in the neighborhood and you gotta decide which pizza spot to come to, this is your joint! The pizza is always on point. It's perfectly crispy on the bottom with the best balance of cheese and sauce. They offer sandwiches and pasta too. We call ahead so they stick the slices in the oven. Came here for lunch and it's pretty average. They do have a nice wide variety and the place itself is very nice and clean. If you want your traditional, NYC pizza, there are other places, but this is a good place if you want a quick bite. Service here is pretty quick and friendly. Warning: I am not exaggerating my review or being facetious. Went here randomly because it was across the street and Five stars doesn't describe it. Literally the best pizza I've ever tasted. I'm from Bayside so coming to NYC just for pizza would be quite a long commute but this is the first pizzeria I've been to that is actually worth that trip. It's in a league of its own, every single aspect of it including its ingredients was off the charts in quality. Taste, texture, smell everything. I couldn't believe it. Of course I bought a few more slices to make sure I wasn't imagining it. I would have bought a few boxes worth if it was possible to lug it around on the train but that would have been physically impractical. At one point I thought they must have added some hallucinogenic compounds in it and I must be just imagining it. The service was great too, but I don't care if it was a Mussolini follower who was serving it with a middle finger to my brown face I would still come back for more. Whatever you do, ESPECIALLY if you don't live in NYC or in a nearby metro or suburban area and aren't coming back anytime soon or at all, make sure you visit this place. read more

Lot of mixed reviews for this pizzeria which is understandable. Ill admit, the quality of pizza has at times been inconsistent. But, overall the pizza is fresh and satisfying. Id agree thats I wouldn't consider it a NY staple but definitely good enough to swing by for a quick slice (or a couple). The interior is nicely decorated and the ambience is very welcoming. Stumbled across this neighborhood restaurant on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't super busy, but there were some people dining in. Got a whole small pizza, a slice of margarita and a slice of the focaccia to go. After a while, they informed us that they didn't have focaccia and I got a slice of the white pizza instead. The pizzas did take about 20 minutes, and the staff was really polite and apologized for the wait. They even threw in an extra slice of cheese pizza, which was really generous. The small pizza itself was huge. It wasn't the best tasting pizza, but for the price (~$12), I thought it was a pretty good deal! Each slice itself is about $3.50, and I was definitely full after two slices. I really enjoyed the margarita - it does have a ton of garlic on it though. Also, do note they have a 3.5% fee for anyone who pays with card. It may be worthwhile to pay in cash instead. Pretty good neighborhood spot for an affordable bite. read more

I had the buffalo chicken slice with an order of garlic knots, and they were amazing and good quality. The dining room also had really nice chairs and tables that were comfortable. Since I was dining in, the server also brought the food to the table I was sitting on. The only downside was this was expensive compared to other pizza restaurants but definitely worth it if you have the money. read more

This place is a hit or a miss. In the night right before closing on weekdays other than Friday, the cheese slice is amazing. Other days it sucks. The woman manager is annoying also. Delicious food with an authentic pizzeria taste. Classy bubbly 5 Star team was fantastic. This place has it all, pizza, burgers, salads, breakfast, pastries,soups,wraps... They just opened so call and ask before you come in to be sure an item is available. I ordered a spinach stromboli and pizza. Everything was delicious, the spinich stromboli had a brick oven taste and was delicious. The inside was very cheerful looking with music playing with a large tv on the wall as well. We were visiting from UK and popped in on Tuesday. Myself, my wife and my two daughters. We got pizza, chicken salad and a sandwich with soup. It was superb. The waiter who I guessed was the owner? I raved about this place to a friend who lives in this neighborhood and he had never tried it out since the business started. We each had a slice since he was treating and the price is a bit pricey. I ordered a margarita slice and that was disappointing. My friend had a reg cheese slice. I was disappointed with mine because it was loaded with garlic. What happened?
