I don't know, but booked for $165 for 13-15 cornrows with shampoo. I booked directly with the lady at the first stall and waited patiently for my visit days later. Arrived at 7:14, didn't want to bum rush and be too early, so waited until 7:20 to ring their bell, no answer! Looked at my phone and had a message at 7:19 stating, "you still coming", I replied "I'm at your door right now!" Waited, hit the bell again. nothing but silence for then on to right now - a day later! I surmised that maybe the Booksy they use to manage appointments was the problem, as I did receive a text to remind me of the appointment, but when trying to open the link provided, my phone and computer indicated that the website can't be reached! So i am giving them the benefit of doubt that maybe Booksey was seeking a confirmation of my visit, and being unable to access it, made her feel I was not coming. Pauline did very neat work and initially I was very pleased. However, one day after getting my hair done one of the ends of the braid came out. After paying $350 for the service, I was shocked. I immediately notified the salon and they did offer to fix my hair at my earliest convivence. I appreciated the gesture however, I did travel very far and have an extremely tight schedule that did not allow me to come in. All in all, I am grateful for their professionalism and willingness to fix the minor issue. I just hope the issue does not persist. The salon is neat, chic, and does provide a boutique braid experience. Because of that, the prices are higher than the average salon so do not be alarmed.

I normally braid my own but since it was short and I thought I couldn't grip it, I went to a braider... I've never had this issue before when braiding it myself...I was able to rebraid 4 of them but after that, I just said f*ck it. Now... She contacted me almost immediately after requesting services through Yelp. We set up a time for a consultation for both hair and makeup; it was important for me to do this so that we would be on the same page on my Wedding day. It was incredibly convenient that she was able to come to my home, where we did both the consultation and the getting ready for the wedding. She showed up on time and kept in constant contact with me, which eased my nerves. She is incredibly professional and kind. Atiya texted me the night before my wedding to confirm again that she would be there. On my wedding day, Atiya showed up on time and brought another stylist to work on my sister's hair and makeup. Her rates are incredibly reasonable for the Bay Area, and for the fact that she will travel to you. Thank you, Atiya, for making me feel incredibly beautiful on my special day.

Enter: Atiya. Atiya was the on-site stylist for my wedding this past October in Walnut Creek. Let me tell you why she is amazing: 1. Day of, she was on time and ready to go; the first of the vendors to arrive to my hotel! 2. She made ALL of my bridesmaids look good, no matter their hair texture! I posted a picture for reference. 3. She was a pleasure to work with, and rolled with any changes that were needed. She was able to put up with a bride-zilla like me! 4. Her communication skills are spot on. Always answering any questions I had in a very timely fashion. 10/10 I would work with her again! I will recommend her to any of my friends with confidence, because I know she will make any hair texture look amazing. Thank you, Atiya!

All i can say is i wish you would have told ME directly any improvements you feel I could have made instead on going on yelp & google writing an essay to try and tear my business down. But let me clear a few things up . Blow dry fee is $25 for a booked blow dry. If you come with your hair already blow dried but I still have to blow dry it because you didnt do it well enough then that is a $20 same day add on blow dry fee i do not have to state that my dog is there but at any point if you were uncomdortable you could have left. I gave you EXACTLY what you asked for. No bigger parts or anything. Floors mighve needed a mop but gunk amd residue on walls is wild! My site says to reach out for hair i recommend and i recommended the hair i provide. How is that misleading? Also i told you you can bring your yg wigs hair NO PROBLEM. I do hair all day everyday so my apologies of my reaponse times don't satisfy you. But the questions you were asking are things that can be asked the day of your appointment. Do you know how many clients I have to respond to and answer questions for. You were reaching out a. Month before your appointment! I have 50 clients I'm going to see between that time. And I don't have an assistant, this is just me!! & I didn't say more than 12 words to you because your energy was bad before you even came through the door. You get what you receive so if you would like to receive better energy I would work on what you give out. I am a single black woman owned business, you being a person of color yourself should understand. I wish you would've came to me directly with your feedback so I can make the necessary improvements. Instead of trying to tear my business down on google and yelp to prevent anybody else from coming. But me and my business is protected by god so those reviews not gonna stop anything and I can promise you that. Be blessed.

After trying out different stylists with less then stellar results, I have to say DeeDee does exceptional work! Especially considering my hair is not processed, other stylists have not been able to get the right degree of straight and bouncy that I prefer. My hair was grown a lot and become much healthier since she has been my stylist. She always works around my schedule and if I have an last minute event that I'd like my hair done for, 9 times out of 10 DeeDee finds time within her busy schedule to accommodate me. I always leave very satisfied and looking 10 times better than when I walked in lol. I really don't know what issues a reviewer is referring to about the quality of the work she does. I had a hair style that I kept in for 4 MONTHS (with regular maintenance)! But I have never been disappointed in the quality of her work, and I'm pretty hard to please with my hair! I've even had my hair done by Ashley once (another stylist there) when I was strapped for time and just walked in -- and after I told her what I needed she went out of her way to make sure I left with the style I wanted and usually get. I also really love the atmosphere of the salon, it's open, spacious and very inviting with a large window that let's in a lot of light. I've been to other salons where it was really dark and cramped feeling. On the weekends, they even have fresh fruit and beverages while you wait. So basically, I'm very loyal to this salon because they're very loyal to my satisfaction!
