That being said I am giving Angela at Nyah 5 stars. I recently moved here from NYC area and have been extremely weary of finding a person to do my facial injections. I'm almost 50 so my skin challenges are not as clear as some Botox in my forehead and I've been around long enough to have had botched up service too. So I feel like I say this with experience Angela is an absolute professional in this space. Extremely knowable of skin, products pitfalls.. I've been getting treatment for over five years at NYAH. Because I couldn't get an appointment 3 weeks in advance at the Northpoint location, I went to the Suwannee location. The tech was great once however I waited 20min past my appointment even though no one was there. Unfortunately it was because a bell wasn't heard from the front receptionist. I love my specific technicians Alyssa ( the sweetest ) , Hailey, Daniela , and Gracie . I cant speak for the rest . There is a mature technician that has visible colorful tattoos that was very rude and unprofessional when I was treated . I felt uneasy with her . But the front desk YOUNG women are kind and cordial . The older women in the front aren't so welcoming. They usually dont pick up the phone when I call. But the owner seems attentive and caring. So I give a four star because I love my technicians, the place is sanitary , they follow COVID protocols and the laser hair removal treatment seems well worth it . I suggest they be more selective on who they hire as personnel and work on staff professionalism. read more

Updated review The follow up by Sharon the owner was excellent. She explained in detail why more hair than usual was showing and took the time to listen to my feedback. She convinced me to go through the whole cycle (6 treatments for lower face and neck) and if I am not happy she would refund my money and offered 1 complimentary treatment after all 6 are finished if needed. I just finished my 12 month of service I purchased via Groupon. I have gotten laser services for my full face at both locations and loved it. It does take a little longer to get appointments at the downtown location. I had a better time at the Alpharetta location because its closer to me and the office much nicer. I had services by 2 people and loved Stephanie, she was fast and did my whole face versus the other one who was slow and didnt do my face fully. I dont remember her name. I have never tried laser hair removal before. I drove about 40 minutes to come it. Great spa -- it's pretty and they have a few different laser types for every treatment type. The laser wasn't painful at all! Ask for Alyssa she was amazing and so professional and knowledgeable. The ambience of this place ( Alpharetta location) is really nice. As long as you come on time, you will be attended to in a timely fashion and actually I was a little late on my second appointment and was still attended to promptly. The issue I have with this place is they seem too petty about the laser treatment areas. Like you can't zap one strand of hair because it's 1/100 of an inch outside the "treatment area"??? Then at check out they basically hounded me to leave a tip. Last time I checked, a tip is given when you are satisfied with service, it is not a right! Plus, let me give of my own accord! This knocked a few stars off my review. I've only had one session with them in 3 previously treated areas: Jaw, Bikini and underarm. The actual laser didnt hurt too bad at all. Sick & tired of shaving my legs on a daily basis, so I decided to go for it. Although the price covers me for 8 sessions of laser, after just one session, I don't have to shave as often. I just do it out of habit at this point. It adds up to a good deal overall. My legs feel soooo smooth now :) Basically pain-free, it's a quick, strange hot/cold zap of the hair. Then I was given aloe to soothe my legs from itching. Everything was cleaned and sterile and all I had to do was shave that morning before my initial session. Stephanie was awesome and walked me through every step of the way. She was very professional and made me feel comfortable and safe. She took the time to educate me on the cycle of the growth of hair too as I complained about 8 sessions?! Tip: there's a huge free parking lot behind the building. So if the street parking makes you tow-nervous just head towards the rear of the building. You'd be surprised who goes here :) but overall the place is discreet and ensures your privacy if you're a modest person. read more

I recently completed my laser treatment and I have to say they were very good at selling the initial package and second and third but later, they decided to switch from 8 sessions to 6 for the same price, and suddenly switch several areas consider as 1.. and split in to 2 areas. What it was more disappointing was to listen: well, we have to make money, no im sorry, no I understand your frustration so I guess money is more important than keep their word on what theyre selling. It all just depends on technician. Some technician do really good job and others don't. Also, they are very busy. I used Groupon for 12 appointments (every 4 weeks) for one year. But I have been scheduling every 6 weeks instead of 4 as they are always full, which defeats the purpose. Keep in mind, rescheduling appointment is also difficult as they never answer the phone. FYI - some techs do need gratuity. They would hold it against you if you didn't give good gratuity. Pros: They provide cortisone and ice pack if you have sensitive skin. read more

I hate to write bad reviews but it must be done. I started going to Nyah in Jan 2020. Cassie was the first esthetician I saw there. She was amazing!! So I kept booking my appointments with her. I saw one other person one time for a portion of my laser hair removal. This past Saturday was my final appointment that was booked with Cassie. When I arrived, I had to wait past my appointment time which is something that never has happened with Cassie. I was approached by a girl named Haley saying she would be providing my service. I said my appointment was with Cassie & she said she took her shift for the day. Disappointed I said okay as I was already 3 weeks past the time I normally like to get my laser done. I could tell already she was new because she had a legal pad & was reading off my services & the room was still dirty when I walked in. Cassie always had the room clean when I walked in. This was THE MOST PAINFUL laser appointment I never had. It never hurt before just uncomfortable but it was literally painful. Haley did several things wrong: she didn't ask me if I was on antibiotics or had any sun exposure, she didn't provide me with the glasses to wear, and the worst thing was she did the laser OVER my tattoo which is a BIG no no. Cassie told me that. She always asked those questions & provided protective glasses. Haley severally burned my thigh & lifted the ink off my tattoo. I told one of the check out girls who I could tell didn't care at all but gave me the owner's phone number to call & tell her. I called the owner & left a message but no return call. I'm so glad this was my last appointment. I'm never going there again if I want to start laser services again. It's really unfortunate because I loved Cassie!! read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Cap locks aren't even strong enough! I have worked with several of the technicians and only have amazing things to say about all of them. I am VERY INSECURE with my body, so the thought of getting spread eagle for strangers horrified me. These ladies make me feel so comfortable, answered all of my questions and now I've moved on to another area. I sing their praises all the time! Now, friends have purchased packages. Prior to today this review would've received five stars. I've booked a touchup apart of the Black Friday sale for $59 on the phone with Marianna and was told that 1 area would receive 16 sessions. I went in today and was told that it was only for eight sessions if I knew that I would've bought the other 8 for that deal. Candace who is amazing, spoke on my behalf to upper management (owner) Who said that she didn't know where the confusion was on either part and could not honor the mistake that was made by her employee. Phone calls were not recorded and basically the customer service part of this situation was disregarded . Usually I've never had a problem with this place I've been going here for a year and I'm just annoyed that there was no silver lining on even honoring the sale price I paid prior to pay for the other eight sessions. This place can be hit or miss. After a couple of satisfactory visits, I was insulted when the technician said "you can just drop your pants". This was for a bikini treatment. No stepping out of the room while you undress and put on appropriate spa garment. Just drop your pants? Not indicative of how spas should run. Forget about the Buckhead location, they never answer the phones so it's very hard to schedule or change an appointment and they are diligent about charging for a no show even if you leave a message trying to reschedule. I WAS SEVERELY BURNED IN SEVERAL AREAS!!!!! I bought a groupon for laser hair removal. After my fourth treatment I told them I was not seeing any results and asked if there was a different type of laser I could use; they told me of course we will make a note and your last four treatments will be with another type of laser. The fifth treatment they used the same old laser but just increased the power. I asked again if I could use a different laser for my last treatments, and again they told me of course and that they would make a note in my chart. On my sixth visit the same old laser was turned up so high it went from feeling like I was being cattle prodded in the genitals to feeling like I was having a full body electrocution. I kept jumping off of the table. Now I have badly burned areas and an extreme amount of pain. I still have two visits left but I will NEVER go back there again. It wasn't until I found another hair removal place that I learned laser hair removal doesn't have to be this painful. Don't waste your money here because you will end up spending more money to go somewhere else. You will spend more time in the waiting room than you will getting your procedure done. I went in to get a chemical peel and I was told i needed to get an aggressive one by another upcoming aesthetician but the lady refused to do it as such because i am black. I told her multiple times that i wanted it aggressive and she said (and i quote) "I would if you were white" i was even supposed to get a full face dermaplane and she did my bottom half only because she was afraid to cut me on my upper half. i left very annoyed but hopeful and i still tipped a little over 20% for my service, but now days later here i am seeing absolutely no difference in my skin and absolutely no trace of me even getting the peel done! i am very disappointed and would not recommend coming here. read more

I was not very impressed with my microdermabrasion back in March, the aesthetician went way too fast and talked to much. She did however, convince me that I needed another one due to some issues I was having on my chin. I stood in line for 10-15 minutes (that should have been my clue) to book the next appointment and prepay. The pandemic happened and the spa obviously had to close. I have called twice since the spa reopened asking for a refund due to the fact that I feel extremely uncomfortable and they refuse to give refunds. I purchased a Groupon for a Microdermabrasion and Mini Facial. First of all the building was hard to find and there weren't any signs for NYAH Med Spa. Eventually ,I found it but I was almost late for my appointment. I've had many microderm abrasions in the past and this was by far the worst. She didn't even include my entire face. And it felt weak like it barely did anything. I don't know if it was an outdated machine but my results were minimal at best. They are very patient and gentle. The office is very clean! I only caution you don't be late! They will reschedule you if you are late. What you get is just an attitude. The only reason I come there because it is close to my house . In contrast of every other place that they have a respect and gratitude for client unfortunately you don't see that at all in this spa. And what I see is hierarchical way of rudeness and being dismissive.If the one in top of the Prymid is ethical the other worker will be to but unfortunately that's not a case with Nyah spa. I had a burn caused by laser and I have kept the spa associates and spa manager in the loop from beginning and I have shared the pics and I been following up with them but what I received it just being dismissive . finally after so many messages they match me with alpha creme which 8 dollars from amazon with %2 hydroconone and that didn't even help and I have contacted them few times and mentioned it. But what I face was always rudeness and in compassion and dismissive behavior. For god sake invest on some lights and mirror so you can see what you have done and what you are doing. They act like they are in denial . They see what they done but to protect not sure what ??? They try to lie and cover the truth.not good way to run business for sure. It is not fair that you made 6 marks due to laser burn and I have been to two different doctors I can see the burn marks and doctors can see it and other people too and you because just don't want to take any responsibility you want to deny it and dismiss it . How you would felt if it was your face ??? This is absolutely insensitive and irresponsible. I been to this place and invested so much money and I was willing to still come and continue my treatment even after you burn my face if you were acting a little more caring but now I don't believe anymore in the core foundation and work culture and ethics and integrity of this place. Because I would prefer to work with someone with sense of responsibility, with great problem solving skills and with good manner and ethics. And I am going to continue my treatment with another spa . I have had 2 appointments so far (the first one was the initial consultation) and I like this spa a lot. Everybody is nice and friendly and very professional. I',m happy I decided to get my laser treatments there. I have seen reviews of people saying the Groupon is for a year of treatments, but they only get 6-8 treatments. That is something they tell you at the beginning, because treatments are every 6 to 8 weeks, so if you do the math, one year of treatments will be about 6 to 8 in total. And every time I have called them to reschedule or cancel an appointment, they will call me back very quickly. read more

Love the staff here, but I've been doing laser hair removal for about a year and have not had good results. Hair is still growing back in areas that I've finished and not seeing much for results on areas that are in progress. My biggest complaint, however, is scheduling. Appointments are only available 3 weeks out and very hard to reschedule. They also started out in Johns Creek and moved to Alpharetta on short notice half way through my treatment, so now rather than being 5 mins from my house it's 30. Not happy overall. read more
