Disassembly in progress.

I used this service yesterday and it was a wonderful experience! TLDR: I called them the night before delivery, we communicated via text, they arrived in time, took 1 hour, very good rate, couch is in my apartment good as ever! To my dismay, the couch I waited for 3 months to receive and was final sale because it was a custom build, was too wide for my elevator or stairwell. Crate and Barrel gave me two people to call, they both seemed a little wishy washy. I found some other options but they all had very sketchy reviews. A friend suggested this service, Fabio and Brian were great, brought everything needed, in and out in an hour! I checked with my super, they did the disassembly outside and reassembled in my apartment, good as new!

The couch they moved - it took an hour! Quick and easy.

We had been trying to move our couch into a 3rd floor apartment for a few hours when we had given up. At 8p, I found reached out to Fabio and he was able to give me a quote quickly via text. Within an hour, he and his son were at our apartment working. They were quick, efficient, and very communicative about the process. We paid $500 and it was worth it to us! I would definitely recommend.

Fabio and his son are responsive, efficient, and tell you upfront how much it's going to cost. I called the morning of because another "Couch Doctor" didn't come through. I called Fabio early in the morning and by 11:30am he was at the storage place where the couch was, and then by 1pm he was done reassembling the couch in my living room! (It was a short drive.) Truly astonishing to watch him work, the man knows his craft.

Do not even think about going anywhere else. I almost had a guy named Sal do it, who thank god i didn't go for. Please read the reviews here, Fabio is fast fair and amazing at what he does!

These guys were great. After being stuck in a tricky predicament of ordering a couch that didn't fit in my buildings entrance I was told to call the couch doctor. I did a bunch of research and called 3 companies for quotes. They gave me the lowest quote and also the most responsive service. When the delivery company delivered my couch 2 hours earlier than planned Sergio came only 45 minutes later and the job was done quickly and efficiently. So grateful to them!

The couch looks better than it did in the showroom!

Fabio and his son are incredible. They arrived at my apartment exactly as my couch was being delivered. When they arrived, Fabio was able to identify three damaged spots within the couch. He was very clear about what my options were and kept me informed at every step of the process. He was able to fix all of the issues with the couch and made it even better than it was when it arrived. Fabio and his son are incredibly efficient and friendly. They exceeded my expectations to say the least. I am incredibly appreciative of Fabio and highly recommend his services. Thank you Fabio for making a difficult situation very easy!

The cabinet before AND after.

I'd rate a six if I could. Ok, so, I bought a massive 2-door, five shelf cabinet from Restoration Hardware. Paid a lot (ALOT ALOT) for it, and to have it delivered. Measured it twice, figured if I was off, the delivery crew would figure it out. Paid for delivery. The movers arrived with my piece, got it onto the freight elevator, up to my floor and realized, this thing will NOT fit. It wasn't going to make it off the elevator. The movers got it back,)not the elevator and took it down to the freight elevator lobby, stood it up after getting it off the lift, and said...here are your options. They could put it on the curb for me, or I could have someone come, CUT 9" off the bottom of the piece and then reattach it all, Frankenstein-style once they got it into the apt. I paid them and sent them on the way. Meanwhile, the bldg super and the maintenance guys said, let's see what we can do. Three hours later, we only managed to take the doors and back of this massive cabinet apart. This thing was built like a tank, and it was gonna take heavy munitions to pull it apart. Because it was sooooo nice, no one wanted to destroy it, so the super said it will probably have to be cut apart. He said, leave it here overnight, go upstairs, google it, get some rest, try again tomorrow. I decided to google it, and there's some wild stuff out there, so I came to YELP. Found three companies in NYC that offer furniture disassembly/reassembly. There's a competing firm with a similar name and not as many reviews, so I looked at NY Couch Surgeon. I searched around, dug through the NY Couch Surgeon's site again, walked away, looked again. Slept fitfully. In the morning, I called Fabio, shared the situation and prayed he would leave the Sawzall at home. He quoted me the price (reasonable range considering the predicament), we scheduled a time (important to note here that the man is fully insured, thoroughly professional). He and his worker arrived, and first things first, went to see the apartment, surveyed the entry, elevator, and final location. Next we went to the odorless, backless, expensive ass cabinet that was too wide, tall and big for what we hoped to accomplish. I want to pause here to say to you that Fabio makes it very very clear that he doesn't prefer to mess with RH furniture because it is very very difficult to pull apart without damage. If you need that high end piece moved in, but don't want it scratched, DONT BUY IT. Seriously, if you care about it looking pristine, pay a carpenter and get the item custom built into your space. Not gonna happen otherwise - the piece is going to be damaged/scratched because you failed to plan. I failed to plan and had to write a glowing review...don't do what I did. So Fabio and his guy muscle the cabinet onto the freight, we get to my floor, the thing will not exit the elevator. He grabs a sledge, separates the base from the case, and he and his guy are able to get it off the elevator. Now for the SURGERY. The piece will not go into the apartment as is, so he locates all the screws he can find, removes those, then he breaks the glue seals holding this thing together, and bangs apart the case slowly but surely using the sledge. Once he gets one side freed, he removes the shelves, Carrie's the remainder of the carcass into the apt, and then, REBUILDS the cabinet exactly where I wanted it, this time using stronger screws than original to ensure it doesnt fall apart. Short story long - HIRE THIS MAN. I'm not just writing this because the NY Couch Surgeon pulled this off - I don't write reviews. His service was impeccable. He had everything he needed to get the job done. He considered all options before breaking out the dreaded Sawzall (I had nightmares about that thing). When he finished the job, you wouldn't have known he was there. No walls, ceilings, doorways or floors were scarred or marred. I'm not a paid spokesperson. I'm a real guy whose ass was in a sling, and the NY Couch Surgeon helped us get it done. And though my pockets are lighter, my very expensive, too-wide, too-tall, 2-door Restoration Hardware cabinet stands exactly where I envisioned it. Call this man.

Fabio was awesome and saved the day! I accidentally bought a sofa that was just slightly too big to fit into the stairwell leading up to my apartment. Thought there was no hope and that I was going to have to sell what I just bought..until a neighbor told me about this service. Fabio responded to my message within an hour or so, on a Saturday night, and was able to work on my sofa the next morning. He showed up on time, finished disassembling, moving my sofa upstairs, and reassembling all in about an hour. Highly recommend!

After gut renovating a 3 bedroom apartment I wanted some modern looking, custom radiator covers to…read morecover 4 different radiators. I also wanted some custom shelves to compliment one of the radiator covers in the living room. I am so glad I found Pat from LI Custom Radiator covers. He came to measure for a small fee which was deducted from the purchase and took his time listening to my requests and desires as well as providing awesome suggestions. At this point he gave me a fully itemized quote. He even made a creative workaround to the order so that I could stay within budget. I gave him a deposit to start the work and he gave me an associated estimate. He even went back and forth with me on email and phone tailoring any adjustments I wanted to make. His estimate was accurate and a few weeks later he came to deliver and install 4 radiator covers and 2 custom shelf units. I must say Pat's work is immaculate. He works extremely hard and puts in the time to make sure everything is perfect from making sure the cover is level to make sure it is flush with the wall to make sure nothing is chipped or dented. It wasn't until he came to install when I fully appreciated the amount of work and time he spends trimming, sanding and grinding the covers until they fit perfectly. If you're detail oriented and care about every 1/16" and everything looking flush with walls etc, Pat is the guy for the job. Some of the top covers on the radiators were slightly dented/scratched and he happily took it back with him to have them touched up and repainted. I can't say enough about how amazing it was to work with pat and his work and craftsmanship really speak for itself. Check out the pictures. Thanks Pat! UPDATE(8/31/2017): One of my shelf units got a few dents and Pat went above and beyond even after he finished the job. He sanded, puttyed, and repainted it back to brand new. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I highly recommend LI Custom Radiator Covers. It took a while from when we got our quote but that…read morewas told to us from the beginning. Dealing with Pat was a pleasure throughout. He came himself to install the covers. They look amazing, he spent hours making them fit perfectly. I didnt realize how much time and effort was needed to make them look so perfect. So glad we decided to finally get them done, they really make the rooms look so much nicer. They weren't cheap but well worth the price! I highly recommend them if you're looking for amazing craftsmanship and high quality custom radiator covers!!
