The car was in fact doing all of that stuff!! Long story short, the car was done and ready to go. When we came to pick it up, we settled up. After buying 9 new cars in the last 20 years from this dealership, we thought it would be a great experience. Once we walked in it didn't seem the same. A salesman asked what we were looking for, I told him exactly what SUV I wanted to see. He disappeared for 20 minutes and took us outside to test drive and look at a SUV that was not the one I wanted to look at. It was nothing like I was looking for but figured I would test drive it. To find out it only had 4 miles of gasoline in the tank. Very disappointing, had to drive around the block to make it back without running out of gas. Once we were done, we walked back in and I asked him again about the SUV I wanted to see. He pointed and said it was outside in the parking lot. I had to ask him if I could see it, which was really odd to me. He did not offer to test drive it either. There was definitely an uncomfortable feeling, he seemed to be reluctant to sell us a vehicle, seemed like it was putting him out. What happened to the customer service? I must say it was one of the worst experiences I had at a dealership. We left feeling in shock and disappointed. The next day we bought a new 2026 SUV from another dealership. No issues at all.

Their analysis was it needed a new head gasket for approximately $1,800. I picked it up and within 50 miles it overheated again. Their analysis was the block was cracked as coolant was entering all six cylinders. In conclusion, I spent nearly $4,000 on an unreparable engine!

At that point, get the manager involved and have them come talk to the customer.
