As many have stated below, I purchased a car from out of state two weeks ago and to date, Nick, the salesman, has yet to provide me with any information on the delivery of my vehicle. Additionally, he coerced me into paying more for the car than advertised as he stated, "someone else has a hold on the vehicle". I have texted Nick numerous times on which the response has been, "No worries, I'll check on the status and get back to you". He has referred to me as "sir" which means he doesn't know who his customer is, in addition, he has yet to get back to me with any information. I called the dealership twice to speak to a manager of which there never seems to be one available or at work only to be told they are short of mechanics at the moment so they are back logged on getting vehicles inspected. At first, I thought I was somehow blown into "Emerald City" with "Dorothy" and "Toto" when I met and chatted with many of the staff at the NYAUTOFIND dealership. They were all very likable and helpful while I waited for the salesperson to finish his phone call and tend to me. Even when I saw and test drove the Mini Cooper I was interested in, there were still no red flags. Unfortunately, I soon realized I was actually in the "Twilight Zone" and literally saw the stereotypical used-car experience come to life in real time. In the space of one week these folks went from likable to detestable! They ruined my excellent credit rating by making their own decisions regarding the financing of the vehicle, resulting in numerous hard inquiries, instead of contacting me first. FYI, I went to this dealership with pre-approved financing from my own bank so their decisions created unnecessary chaos, left my pristine zero-hard inquiry credit report in tatters, and I ended up having to go to my bank anyway when they could not fulfill their promises to better my bank's rate and do so with only one hard inquiry on my report. To top it off, Brian Kelly, the Finance or Office Manager or whatever his title but NOT the salesperson I dealt with, at one point used pressure tactics to try to get me to pick up the vehicle before my insurance was to become effective. Let me be clear, I made my insurance effective and picked up the vehicle one day before they said it would be ready and I was never advised they were having trouble with their finance company. Furthermore, NYAUTOFIND had sufficient time from the date I first came to see the vehicle to the date I picked it up; to advise me they had a problem with their finance company, Westlake Financial Services, in Los Angeles, California. They delivered the vehicle on that date and "Nick," still not the salesperson I worked with, asked me nicely to please leave a positive review for them as he closed the driver's door after I settled into the seat. Then "Rod Sterling" continued the narration of this story. Once Brian Kelly realized their finance company had not come through, he contacted me again and became aggressive and bluntly, just nasty, calling constantly and harassing me. As I stated, I was unaware there was a problem and as a matter of fact I called James, the finance person I dealt with at NYAUTOFIND on at least two occasions before and after I picked up the vehicle to get the exact name of the Finance Company for my insurance Company and again to ask when I would receive the finance paperwork so I could set up payments, etc. He never told me, on either occasion, there was a problem with Westlake. Immediately after NYAUTOFIND made me aware of the financing situation, days after I already had possession of the vehicle, I simply contacted my bank, received my loan and a check was sent to NYAUTOFIND, who incidentally is not an accepted dealer on the bank's list, so they had to be approved. Once NYAUTOFIND received my Bank's check, in record time, I never heard from Brian Kelley or anyone else again! Typical! All said, Nick, here is my "positively hope not to deal with NYAUTOFIND again" review and if anyone else decides to deal with NYAUTOFIND please beware! I want to start my review by saying the Service Department gets a 5 out of 5. They were great. There was an issue with the passenger side door not working upon deliver and it was when it was inspected and Carmen was on top of it. He worked with my mechanic in my state and worked out all the details to get it fixed and got the part to them before I was able to resolve the issues I had with the sales team. As for the sales team, it was a horrible experience. I bought the car out of state. I had to follow up with the sales person Nick to get any updates at all once the sale closed. He couldn't even give me estimated times to delivery. It was as if this was the first car he ever sold and did not have any range of time it would take to get the car serviced or picked up once it was listed for delivery. Once it was finally delivered, it was delivered with 0 paper work I needed to register the car. I had to text, call and email several times explaining that the temp plates they sent were not the ones for 30 days until I could register it, it was only an in transit (meaning only valid as it traveled between NY and ME), and got pulled over because of this. I kept asking for the title application and he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Because I insisted on them sending a PDF of the original title I was able to get a temporary registration on the car, but had to email and text again with NO response from either Nick the sales person or Diane who was supposed to be getting the documents to me. I finally had to call and threaten to report them to the NY DMV for not complying with the required documentation for a sale before they would send me the documents. The issue with the door was resolved within 4 business days of my mechanic calling Carmen in the service department, and ONE phone call to Carmen asking what do I need to do. That includes transit time for the part to get to ME. The issue with getting the title document was almost 2 full weeks considering it should have been sent with the car. read more

DECEPTIVE DEALER - BUYER BEWARE Signed agreement to buy, did financing. Dealer said they needed to run the car through inspection and detailing. I start getting bank emails indicating the loan had started and after 1.5 weeks still no car ready for final inspection and delivery. Got the bank and dealer (Finance James) on the phone and James got defensive when bank asked why their title hadn't been sent to them and why they still had the car. I also had only put a temp visa hold on the car while they finished the inspections and detailing. Here I am nearly 3 weeks later and the bank loan is still active after the dealer said they would reverse the loan that day. Do not give this dealer a check or non-reversible money. If I could give zero stars, I would! My experience with NY Auto Find was an absolute nightmare. Unfortunately, my story is similar to many other unfortunate victims of Austin and his league of devious individuals at this so-called dealership. Like many others, I was deceived by an unbelievable photo on CarGurus--a picture-perfect Mini Cooper that looked flawless. Austin assured me there were no issues with the vehicle and that I had nothing to worry about. That was a bold-faced lie. Upon receiving the vehicle, I quickly realized that I had been scammed. The car was riddled with issues conveniently left out of the listing--faulty headlights, rust on the roof, and, the cherry on top, an exhaust held together with a cargo strap! And that's just scratching the surface--there were too many problems to list! When I called the company to address my concerns, their response was laughable--they told me to take it to a mom-and-pop shop for repairs instead of a dealership. That alone was a huge red flag! They knew what they were selling and didn't want an absolute professional uncovering their shady business practices. Ignoring their terrible advice, I took the Mini Cooper to a dealership for a proper diagnostic, and--surprise, surprise!--even more hidden issues were uncovered. At that point, I had enough and immediately shipped the car back to NY from Missouri. The bottom line is that NY Auto Find is an absolute scam. They overcharge for junk cars that aren't even worth half of what they're selling them for. If you want to waste your time and money, this is the perfect company for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and buy from a reputable local dealer or see the car in person before even considering purchasing online from these frauds. These guys are suspect they are getting 1-star reviews for a reason. I purchased a 2012 Mini Cooper JCW from them and they sent the registration paperwork to the wrong state. I have been beyond patient throughout this process, as it has been more 75 days and I haven't been able to drive the car due to the registration issue. I've had to deal with vehicle registration errors in the past due to being in the military. In each case, the issue was remediated in less than 30 days. read more

I purchased a used Mini and could not pick it up for five days because it was supposedly in the shop. I was told that the mechanics check and repair things. This is false. The fuel pump broke within 28 days after purchasing a Mini Cooper S. This meant that while I was driving down the road, the engine cut off. This also meant that they tried to hide this broken piece because my mechanic said that some unprofessional repairs were haphazardly done to this part. I bought a 2014 convertible mini cooper from NY Auto Find a few months back (because they have a very large inventory of Minis). I visited the lot and picked the car out and paid for it during the visit. I was a bit worried I was scammed (after reading reviews) because it took 5 weeks for my car to be ready to be picked up/delivered because their service department was backed up. But it was worth the wait -- I've been driving the car for about 5 weeks now and it runs very smoothly. The interior and exterior of the car are like brand new. I get lots of compliments on the car. They assured the car was in great condition. I should have had it checked out by a qualified mechanic. It started up fine and everything worked as it should. As soon as the paperwork was done and I was on my way home. The dashboard lights dimmed as well as the headlights. It went to daytime running light mode. All the dash gauges quit working also as well as the radio and clock. The dash lights and full power headlights would periodically come back on and go out again. There is now a code for a transmission solenoid. I'll be giving them a call today to take care of the lemon warranty. Don't buy a car from them without getting it Checked Out First. New York Auto Find is probably the worst used car dealer on the East coast. They've been in business for three years they've had four complaints registered with the New York Better Business Bureau. That's in one a year where people have taken the time out from their lives to actually go online and fill out the actual complaint form with the Better Business Bureau to express their total dissatisfaction in dealing with this used car dealer that actually presents cars for sale that should be scrapped. Their main salesman whose name is Jason is probably one of the most obnoxious foul-mouthed dealers any of us have ever dealt with. Their approval rating with the Better Business Bureau is dismal and they had the brass balls to contact the BBB and ask to have their ratings raised after they finally were reduced and now they're going to be reduced yet again We had gone out to look at a specific are based on the recommendation that Jason made that it only had 18,000 miles on it and was an impeccable excellent condition close to what he described as pristine. The car did indeed look pretty good from 30 feet away an inside look pretty nice as well. We were interested in it until we had it put up on a lift and realize that the car was so corroded underneath that parts of the chassis were actually rusted straight through. suspension parts brake lines were rusted solid and would need to be cut off with torches and totally replaced. The Certified Claim is FALSE. I purchased a pristine Corvette with them. I was hesitant at first, but saw the "Certified" in the listing and assumed they were reputable like a dealer should be. My mistake. Everything was good with the process and upon leaving, I was told that I had 90 days if anything was wrong. On my way home, I noticed the heads up display wasn't working properly. I contacted them figuring it was an easy fix / reset, etc. They did try to help me over the phone / email with no success. The service manager even admitted that maybe the issue was over looked, but immediately said the owners wouldn't cover it. I complained to the Attorney General, BBB, with no success. The dealer offered to buy the car back (less the tax), but I just wanted the issue fixed. I didn't want to lose a couple thousand dollars and my time after I found the right car for me. They responded to the BBB and emailed me saying they offered to fix the issue, but I wouldn't come back?? That was a lie, as that was all I wanted. I spent all of my saving on a car from this dealership. WHAT A WASTE. DO NOT GIVE THIS DEALERSHIP ANY BUSINESS!!! They sell LEMONS!!! I drove the car for two days before the control arm broke while I was pulling into a parking spot. When the car was brought to a shop to be fixed they found that both front struts needed to be replaced as well because they had begun to corrode from old age. You would think since I have 30 days of warranty and I've only had the car three days all repairs would be covered. I bought a vehicle from NY Auto Find in January of 2018. My overall impressing of the experience is excellent. I worked with James from first contact to delivery. James was available by text which was our primary mode of negotiations. The car I was interested in was in stock and available to view at my convenience. The car was as described and priced fairly on the website and that price was a real price with no dealer fees to drive the price up after gaining your interest. I traded a vehicle to NY Auto Find after some negotiation for a number I could live with. Based on the tax saving the total value was enough to sway me from selling the car independently. I chose to have a Pre Purchase Inspection completed by an independent BMW shop. James was able to arrange transfer of the car to and from the shop with no issue or hesitation. The car met expectation and I decided to proceed with the transaction. James recommended a bank with excellent rates which I ended up choosing to finance my purchase. I was able to submit the majority of paperwork to him electronically so he and his team were able to prepare the majority of paperwork ahead of time. Upon delivery my license plates were swiftly moved from my old car to my new to me BMW which was cleaned inside and out to my satisfaction. The team even helped move my personal belonging from one vehicle to the other and within 30 minutes the transaction was complete and I left with my new car. One very important note is the fact that NY Auto Find paid off my existing loan immediately as promised. I've had larger dealers not do this with such expedience! I can say for a small establishment I was impressed with the quality of the vehicles they had in stock and the professionalism everyone I encountered displayed. read more
