I went there last week to purchase a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. The person I spoke to on the phone. internet and text didn't bother to show up and greet me, instead: They gave me a "runner" who told me he was a salesman. There was absolutely no parking there, NONE. The whole front of the place is lined up with Jeeps they can't sell. So I was parked with my wife in the car half in the Service driveway. I figured I'd follow the runner across the street to the Used Car lot and he ended up coming back from another used lot. They wonder why they can't move inventory. When he finakky showed up with the vehicle this "salesman/Runner" couldn't answer 1 question about the Vehicle. I walked away. Writing this at the gas station right now... I dropped my car off one morning full tank and everything to be fixed with something inside. I have to now take off from a day of work because I am out a car now just to get a call that it's "ready" to go there with half of my tank gone, over 100 miles put onto my car... and the thing that needed to be fixed I was told they don't know how to fix it. Terrible, stay away! This is what my husband's brand new 2019 Jeep compass looks like every time it rains. This joke of a dealership claims to only have a leak specialist once or twice per month. Worst of all? They refuse to provide us with a loaner vehicle until they are able to fix this issue. What kind of dealership does not have loaner cars for their customers? The "supervisors" and "managers" here are incredibly rude, yet they claim to pride themselves in excellent customer service. Do Not Use this Service Department!! Took my Jeep in for an oil change and for my engine light. First they sit me down and tell me in order to check why the engine light is on, the diagnostic to be run will take around 2 hours and the labor fee is $265 per hour. So before they can find out what is wrong with my car, I'm already over $500 in the hole. I said no thank you just the oil change. When my oil change was done, they called and said they noticed an oil leak and a few other things that will cost $2200 to fix. Again, I said no thank you. They then immediately say "well we can apply some discounts and drop it to $1600!! How in 20 seconds does the repair go from $2200 to $1600?!?! I then asked if the repair would fix my engine light. He said he doesn't know because they didn't do the diagnostics but will run it now for free to see what's going on ( remember when he said it would cost over $500 to test but now it's free?). After he runs it, he tells me that I have a thermostat that needs to be replaced. Now the price to fix everything is back up to $2200. I said no thank you. Brought my jeep to mavis who ran a $60 test that they waved because I was super nice and said there is no leak and replaced the thermostat for $520. $1700 saved and I will never go back to Security Jeep again!!!! read more

They adamantly refuse to correct the paperwork that I feel is fraudulent, & they adamantly refuse to correct the wrong date & they refuse to do anything at all to make this horrible and horrendous ordeal right. I can not express enough my total disgust & dissatisfaction with this dealership & what I feel are totally unethical & unscrupulous business practices. I feel that they take advantage of & deceive people with disabilities . I strongly suggest & feel that you record your mileage before dropping off your vehicles so you do not get cheated & screwed and left with no gas. I'm not happy with my vehicle being used in a manner that it was not authorized or permitted for. Why should I be responsible for replacing fuel that I feel that they deliberately used & wasted to go on lunch runs or to drive home? This is certainly not right or fair & not what I expected. Monday night I decided last minute that I wanted to go to the dealership and I wanted to get a new Jeep. it was literally 630 when I decided you know what let me try and get a new truck today. I went in there assuming it would be a long process I obviously would never leave with a new truck that night but I was expecting to at least get it by Tuesday or Wednesday. anyway, I went in at about 730, Rich was my sales person... And I have to be honest he was so freaking helpful, I told him that I wanted a grand Cherokee altitude, in white, he took me right out to the lot showed me a couple of them, I picked it out, he brought me back and started my paperwork which literally only took a maximum of 20 minutes... I only waited around for about a half hour maybe 45 mins...Before I knew it the girl was already transferring the insurance for me... The finance was already being processed by Vito.. and Rich had told me that if I wanted to, I could go and clean out my old car Because I was almost done. I literally couldn't believe it I said well I've only been here for an hour and everything is pretty much already being processed and I am getting into this new truck at the number that I wanted. i've been driving a 2016 Honda accord for a couple years and they matched my payment that I've been paying on my Honda! i'm still in shock. Not to mention they also took care of my Honda and took it off my hands when I still have 6 months left on that lease! normally in order to return your lease early without having to pay an arm and a leg with honda, you have to go back to the dealership that you got it and get another one of their cars... But in this case they took care of it for me. headache free. not to mention everybody in that dealership was extremely nice from the second I walked in starting with the girl at the front. rich was so helpful, really nice, and knowledgeable... O money down, $239 a month, and you can trade in a lease with up to 12months left. We go in, we expected some small dealer fees and our dmv fees to pay. Come to find out there was about $4,000 in fees and money down that they needed to get that payment. On top of it they wanted to roll in our remaining lease payments (4 months left) The sales woman we dealt with was very nice, i just felt it was a very dishonest ad and a shady way to get customers in. When i mentioned that the ad was deceiving she was like "well it got you in here didn't it??". I wouldn't go back here being that they don't seem very honest and a little shady. read more

I brought my car in on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. My 2015 Jeep Cherokee had a recall on it, so I brought it in for a simple system update. I dropped off my car, and everything seemed fine. It was 12:00pm at that moment, and I was told by one of the service advisors (William A.) that the update should take about 4-5 hours. I received a call at 3:49pm that my car was ready (ahead of schedule - awesome). My fiancee and I were planning to leave around 4:30-4:45 to get to Citi Field for the Mets/Yankees Subway Series game, so the time they called was perfect for me. Everything was going smoothly... ...until I arrived back at Security Dodge. I walk inside and tell the people at the front desk that I received a call that my car was done. They told me to wait outside and that valet would bring up my car. 10 minutes later - no car. They had a hard time finding my car, and eventually sent someone to "the other lot" to go look for it. How does a company not keep the location of the car. There was a tag on my key, so why not jot it down? They were short valets at this point, so they sent a girl from inside to go get my car in the other lot. At this point 15 minutes had passed. The girl comes up, parks my car and says, "You're all set!" I said thanks and I close the door, put my seatbelt on, and put the car in drive. When I put my car in drive, however, my fingers were stabbed with a piece of plastic. I looked down and the button on my shifter was COMPLETELY ripped off and placed in tiny compartment in front of it. I was completely confused. I looked at the button and saw that a piece of the plastic inside the button was broken, and couldn't reattach itself to the shifter. I asked to speak with someone. The valet went inside, slowly, and eventually came back 5 minutes later and told me to bring my car back inside the service area. When I brought it in, they asked what was wrong. I showed them exactly. They thought I was crazy, and tried to snap the button back into the shifter. With respect and calmness, I stated that I simply brought my car back in for a routine recall system update, and I come back to my car being broken apart? The service advisor, William, stated that they needed to replace the ENTIRE shifter. He says "this stuff happens all the time..." I stated that I had my car for 2 years at this point, and it was never loose nor did it feel like it would ever feel like it was going to fall off. Luckily, they had a shifter in stock (because I was NOT leaving unless my car was fixed). I asked how long it would take and William stated "just a few minutes." At this point, I refused to sit in his office, and stood the entire time at the door. I watched as the process of installing a new shifter was done. There were quite a few times no one was even working on my car. I am texting my fiancee as this is all occurring. He is a lot more assertive than I am, so he came back down to Security and spoke with the Service Director. The service director was shocked and completely confused as to why the button would have been removed, especially when my car was brought in for a SIMPLE UPDATE. The installation of the new shifter took ONE HOUR. I was told a few minutes, but it took ONE HOUR. My fiancee and I didn't leave Security until 4:45, when we wanted to leave for Citi Field for the Mets/Yankees game. I am BEYOND disappointed with Security's service department. The only reason why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because they DID replace my shifter, but I am just super disappointed with the fact that NO ONE took responsibility for it and I was never given an answer as to how it happened. My fiancee has had problems in the past with them (that's a WHOLE other story), and I had an issue this time. I cannot wait until my lease is up - I WILL not be returning. read more

To say that I am disappointed in the service that security dodge has provided me, would be one of the greatest understatements of my life. I purchased a pre-owned Jeep Cherokee, after turning in my lease of a Dodge Challenger (from Atlantic Dodge). I seriously wish I has waited for Atlantic to get a car and taken my business there, because dealing with Security has been terrible. To start, I was told the car had "all the bells and whistles" including automatic lights and a back up camera (neither come in the car but its my own fault for not double checking that) I was then told that the car came with the factory warranty , which when it came down to signing on the dotted line for the car ended up not being true and ended up costing me a few thousand extra. All of this is my own fault for not checking more , still a pretty dishonest sales practice. Now comes the fun part, I had made a deal with Security Dodge that they would pay off the last two months of my current lease, they were supposed to pay Chrysler capital directly. turns out when I signed the contract for my car they put the wrong price on the contract, the lowered the price by $500. So after both parties signing the contract they called me a day or two later and said they had made a mistake and to fix it they were going to take $500 off the amount the paid to Chrysler. Now I work in finance, when we make a mistake we eat the mistake we do not pass it along to the customer because not only would that be illegal but its also not a great way to keep customers. Suprisingly I never got a call back , and looking through all the paper work they gave me I come to find out they did not give me a copy of the paper we both signed saying they were paying off my lease. It has taken me a few months to write this because I was contemplating pursuing legal action for the 500, but decided it wasnt worth my time or legal fees , I will admit some of this is as much my own fault as theirs for trusting in them to have honest sales practices. I for one will never do business here again and will go out of my way to warn anyone I know from doing business with them. Worst sales experience of my life. read more

My experience at this dealership was the best I ever had so far! Prior to purchasing my new Jeep here I visited a couple of dealerships in Queens and ended up walking out. Reason being is the car salesmen start out high and slowly lower their bottom line price once we informed them we will go home and think about it. This was not the case at Security Dodge, even though I felt like they did the same bait & switch with their advertising (having only 1 vehicle with the low advertised price that's nowhere to be found once we arrived), I still had the best car buying experience yet. I was assisted by Ahmad Hosman, he made sure we had the best pricing right away. There was no haggling, funny business or weird stipulations, his first quote to us came in more than $2,000 less than the other Jeep Dealers gave me. Ahmad was professional and made sure I was comfortable and okay with everything that was going on, I couldn't have asked for a better salesman. When it came to dealing with the finance department J. Delalla was just as great and as a third time Jeep owner, I wish I would have started my relationship at Security Dodge upon my first Jeep purchase way back when. Literally days after buying it .So another attempt at fixing it fails again and they tell my daughter your tank has water in it you better call gieco cause it's going to be More than five hundred dollars to fix and we aren't paying for it At this point we contacted a Lemon Law lawyer who suggested we take it to another jeep dealer to get repaired we told that mech that security said we had water in the tank Wendy the service manager evern showed my daughter a vile of gas and water. The mech laughed and asked where did you drive from so we said east rockaway he laughed again and said you wouldn't drive a block with water in your tank. Very disappointed visit this past Saturday. I was once there 4 years ago when I was shopping for a Charger. They had given me a ridiculous lease price and I walked out. No effort to make things right. I ended up getting the same exact car from a competitor for way less. In the market for a Durango this time and I saw a model on their website that I liked. First off, the truck was in Staten Island and the salesman (I will not name him here but contact me if you want to know his name) tells me they'll bring the truck over if we agree to a price that same day. Offered a test drive on another model, but I refused. Before going back in, the salesman asks for my license to enter my information in the system. First red flag. I asked why can I not just tell him my name, phone number and address and he rolls his eyes. Finally he writes it down on a piece of paper and we walk in to talk numbers. The first number is high, no breakdown, no details of rebates - but not a problem since I know this is a typical negotiating tactic. I then give him my counter and this is where things got pushy. He tells me to give him my credit card so if the manager agrees to my price, they'll charge $500 on the card and order the car over. I ask him why would I commit to a deal when I haven't even seen the car yet. He keeps pushing, then writing my price on a piece of paper and forcing me to sign it. I've been around plenty dealers, I know "shady" when I see it. No dealer ever has taken a written offer from me. He keeps pushing. I finally got up, shook his hand calmly and told him to call me when they have the car on the lot. He said th wait while he talks to the manager, I walked out. Reading all the low rated reviews, I see how they are actually true. This is a shady dealership. I thought they would have changed in 4 years, guess I was wrong. I'd stay away. WARNING WARNING WARNING Do not go to this dealer for any reason they are crooks thieves and total liars. Let me start off by saying this is the first time I am happy I forgot to do a review for an establishment. I bought a brand new Jeep Liberty Jet in March of 2013. It had every single option available. I did my research and really liked the Liberty over the other manufacturers cars. The salesman was great very friendly and helpful, But that was the end of the good experience at this dealership. After you decide on a car and are done with the salesman you go to the finance person. That was the very first clue that i was being scammed and that this dealership are crooks. When the finance person came back with al the papers to start signing, I noticed about half way thru that the total price was off by $3000.00???????? I asked the finance person what the story was and he said ohh let me go check??????? He came back about 10 minutes later and apologized and said i was right and redid the contract. At this point I was not sure if it was an honest mistake or that they were crooks and frauds. I did give them the benefit of the doubt and said to myself that it was just a honest mistake. Fast award to December 21st 2015 when I came out of my house in the morning to a totally flat tire. I proceded to fill up and went to my local gas station and had them put my spare on. I then proceeded to Mavis tires and bought a brand new tire as there was a huge chunk of metal in the tire. Obviously the flat tire has nothing at all to do with security dodge be patient i am getting to the point. At mavis i was told that the other 3 tires were also in need of changing and did not have a lot of life left.??????? Car has 25000 miles and tires are rated for 60000???? Also not security dodges fault. I then went to Goodyear in Hicksville to see what sort of warranty the tires had as getting 25000 miles on tires that have a 60000 warrantee seemed odd. The problem that arouse when i went to goodyear is that the tires and rims on the car were supposed to be 20" and there were 18" rims and tires on the car???????????? I left Goodyear and went home totally furious as i Pulled the sticker of the car and the sales contract and they clearly note 20" aluminum rims and 20" tires. I called Security dodge and spoke with John the sales manager and explained the problem. First thing he did was accused me of swapping out the tires and rims. Why would i possibly do that I said and I told him I wanted it taken care of. He said he would look into it and get back to me. A week later still no reply so I called again and he said he had to talk to the service manager and he would definitely get back to me. Another two weeks went by and I called again this time I spoke with the general manager Rich. He said he would look into it and get back to me , Sounds familiar. Another week goes by and no call. I call again for a week leaving messages and still no call back. Finally after about 2 weeks i get a hold of him and he said he thought it was settled that they could do nothing as i waited to long, He said if i noticed it int he first 2-3 months they would of taken care of it??????????? I said to him that was unacceptable and if you would of taken care of it then you should take care of it now. I asked him to speak to the owner of the dealership before I spoke with a lawyer. After another 2 weeks he called back and said if I bought 5 new 18" rims and tires they would swap it out for 20" rims and tires. Are you freakin kidding me why would I buy 5 rims and tires from them just so they can swap me for 20". Rich said that was the best the owner was willing to do. He said if I trade my car in that they could give me a good deal on a new car. Why the hecht would I ever buy a car there again. Now that I see that the rims were obviously changed i now also believe that the finance error was no error another way for them to make money. shame shame on you Security Dodge You are a bunch of crooks and thieves and total liars. the sticker and bill of sale i have says that there are 20" rims and tires on the car. There are not which means that they swapped them out with 18" rims and tires for whatever reason and that is total fraud. Stay away from this dealership at all costs as they will rob you blind. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... you know the saying. Figured I'd give these guys another shot. Called and asked about my trade in value. Read them my vin number and told them to punch it into the software which pulls up every detail. I know this business, and I know it shows what type of fuel the car takes. Don't lie to me and tell me "you didn't realize it was diesel" when I called you the night before emphasizing it was a diesel. Typical sleazy trick to get you in the door. Also, tell the people on the sales floor to watch their mouths. Especially when they want to make fun of customers. Had a guy make fun of me behind my back for bringing a folder filled with all my papers and notes. Maybe the fact that I do my due diligence going through life has resulted in my success, while you have obviously had your struggles as you lack the vocabulary necessary for a job where you don't degrade women and curse like a proverbial sailor. These guys even give car salesmen a bad name. Seriously, the lowest of the low. I live over an hour from here, and was about to buy another car from my local dealership, when I came across Security's inventory online and called them. I was extremely upfront and gave them all information regarding my new purchase and they assured me they would beat the deal. I told them again, that I lived over an hour away and coming there would mean arranging a sitter for my kids, and I had no intention of coming in to haggle- if I was coming I was coming to buy. Again, I was assured. At this point I put my current deal on hold, arranged babysitting, and the drive to amityville the next day. After arrival I waited for 30 mins for my salesman to appear, but once he did he escorted me directly out to the lot to pick the color I wanted. Narrowed it down to two or three and went inside to "work the numbers". Fast forward two hours later- they're asking me for the sales agreement from the other dealership. Huh?? Why the hell would I have that? I didn't buy that car to come here! Their "best deal" was $20 more per month for a lesser optioned car, despite the constant assurance of a better deal and that they "sell more cars than anyone". They sold one less today- I thanked them for wasting my time and went to buy the car at my local dealership. WARNING- do not be fooled by these slick haired, smooth talking grease balls. Despite their assurances you will do far better somewhere else without feeling like you need to take a 45 min shower when leaving. Absolutely gross!! read more

Was looking to buy a truck as my family is expanding. I've heard great things about the Durango and other trucks Dodge makes, so I decided to give them a shot. Guy on the phone sounded like a real jerk. Condescending, etc. I hung up looking to call back and hopefully get a different person. Before I did, I decided to look up reviews on the dealership. Definitely won't be purchasing another car here again, nor recommending them to anyone. I was in the market for a 2014-2017 Nissan Rogue SV and after months of searching for the car that was within all the parameters I was looking for I found one here. 1. The finance guy tried as hard as he could to sell me an extended warranty. He stated that with all the electronics in the car I would want to be safe. Well now if this car is going to start giving me problems within the next 3 years then why am I buying it? I know for a fact that this is just a money maker for dealerships. 2. Before even signing anything they called and switched my insurance from my old car to this new one. I sold my old car two months prior, but was holding the plates for the new one so kept the insurance. I felt cornered into buying it now that I had already insurance it. I never gave the okay for them to do this. 3. After almost walking out and getting them down to a price I was okay with I took the car home. Not too long after I noticed a rattling sound. Took the car to my mechanic and something was already loose. When I called to speak to someone they had an "oh well, nothing we can do" attitude. Maybe you can stand behind your cars when something isn't right. 4. It is now July (bought this car in February) and I already needed breaks. All four. Really? If this was truly inspected and if they were a decent dealership I would have been given brand new brakes. I shouldn't be spending this kind of money 5 months after buying this car. I would have just kept my old one then. 5. Almost forgot this tidbit... their finance guy told me that I wasn't getting a good rate because I haven't had a car loan in 4 years. So you're telling me because I paid off a car and haven't needed a new one that I am penalized? I call BS. Most ridiculous thing I've ever been told. Then told me I can refinance in 6 months. Sorry buddy, I have excellent credit and I know that I can refinance the next day. But I guess that wouldn't benefit them now, would it? Went to buy a car. Salesman was the shadiest man we've ever met, he was in a hurry and didn't answer any of our questions. After doing our research, we made an offer on the vehicle and the dealer would only finance. We had already secured a loan for finance through a bank because car lots (this one for sure) will tell you they got you a 6% interest rate when you were actually given a smaller one so they can make money on your loan. Our offer was rejected and we were told they would only finance themselves and if we wanted to buy the car it would be 3,000$ more. All the signs here. These guys are shady. They will rip you off. And finally, do yourself a favor. Ask them how much their dealer fee is. Get a free quote for an auto loan on websites such as CreditKarma.com and go in know what rate you'll be approved for.. then, listen to what they say. It'll be higher. this company has horrible reviews for a good reason. They do not want to sell cars. Have been interested in an used Jeep and they have no interest in selling it. I finally realized that they are using the jeep to bait and switch people to their new cars. Michelle the purported sales manager and Julissa one of the sales men have been the lousey point men on what would be a full price out of state cash sale. Looks like lots of people are looking at the vehicle but they are not playing. I am beginning to think that they really do not even have the vehicle. If I had read the reviews before I contacted them, I would not even have tried. I assume all the positive reviews are paid or family. read more
