Stefan and crew did a great job installing new maple floors to match our existing flooring. He replaced around 250 square feet of carpet with hardwood and resurfaced an additional 220 square feet to match. The installation went exactly as discussed and the floors look amazing. We also really appreciated the care he took when getting the equipment into the house and masking off the work areas so that the dust stayed out of the rest of the house. He and his crew were friendly, professional, and answered questions as they occurred. They did the job very well in the expected time frame for the quoted price. We needed our 93 year old oak floors refinished prior to marketing our house. After 45 years of dogs running to and fro and a few liters of puppies the floors were pretty beat up. This is an overdue review from April, when we worked with Stefan. We had just pulled up our carpets to reveal hardwood floors that had gashes, paint, water damage, but showed a lot of potential. We wanted to have them refinished ASAP because we would be receiving our new couch and wanted the floors to be finished/ready to walk on by then. I requested quotes from several hardwood floor specialists with lots of details, photos and measurements of the room. Stefan was the only person who said he would need to see the floor in person to give the most accurate estimate, and he offered to come by that day. When he stopped by shortly after, he was very friendly and professional, and sent us a quote that evening. His quote was well below all the others AND he was available to do the job starting the following week - everyone else was booked at least a month out. I was a little afraid with such short notice that the job would be sloppy and half-done, but that was not at all the case. He finished our floors within the 2.5 days timeframe given (we chose water-based, even though he said he favored the Swedish/oil finish) and he and his partner did an amazing job. Even though his quote said there would be $50/hr charge for any extra labor, he did not charge extra for replacing several portions of the floor that had water damage. My husband and I were very impressed and pleased. And after lots of window shopping and dreaming about luxurious rugs, I've decided the floor is just too beautiful to cover up! I would never give Stefen and his team a five star if there is six or more stars available, he is the BEST floor expert I ever had, my floor is maple which is very soft and difficult to deal with, its special texture and grain makes it hard to apply the stain color we want, but Stefen tried every possible way and everything to meet our requirements, and he and his team did an amazing job, now we have a beautiful floor with the color exactly we want! And I am also very impressed by every single detail he took care of! They also keep the house very clean during the entire time of the job. We had NW Hardwoods install new hardwood in entryway to match dining room/kitchen and hallway. They then sanded all, stained them, and put on a Swedish finish for us. This work started in December 2016. Due to extreme cold and where they store their product floors were a disaster. They tried to refinish without any luck. We left for three months and upon returning is April they came to correct all the flaws in the floors. After a month we gave up and accepted a cut in the price and elected to get them done later by someone more qualified. Cannot believe all the positive thing we read about them yet they could not perform on our floors. Nice folks but we cannot recommend their work to anyone. read more

We hired Northwest Professional Hardwood to remove old carpet and install new hickory hardwood flooring in our family room to match existing floors on the main level of the house, including lacing them together with existing hardwood in adjoining rooms. They then sanded and refinish both existing and newly installed hickory floors to create continuous look throughout the main floor of the house. Stephan and his crew did an excellent job! They were always on time, very professional and courteous, cleaned up each day, and completed the project on time and budget. Our new floors look terrific! The existing and new hardwood match very well and look like they were installed at the same time. We have used Stefan and his team for 2 seperate projects in the past few years and we cannot say enough how well everything turned out. A few years ago we had them install solid 3/4" solid unfinished hardwood throughout the dining and living room (large areas) that needed to match our existing kitchen hardwood (which had water damage). They flattened out the damaged hardwood in the kitchen, installed the flooring in the dining and living room and it all matched perfectly after sanding and finishing. Then a few weeks ago we had them install solid 3/4" hardwood in our entryway (which we should have had done when they did the previous rooms). Again, a beautiful job and now all 4 areas look like they were all done at the same time and the flow is beautiful. Their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is excellent and I am VERY picky! We saved money by removing the carpet and tile ourselves which was great. Stefan and his crew are the best! Stefan came highly recommended by a flooring company in Portland. From start to finish they were professional, punctual and a joy to work with. They removed carpet and flooring down to the sub floors and installed oak floors to match existing floors lacing them in to existing flooring in our almost 70 year old home. They then sanded and finished these floors to match existing floors in the bedrooms. They did three rooms, a hallway (where they laced it in), a stairway and landing.
