I had a terrible experience at this HOTWORX location. I signed up expecting a motivating workout…read moreenvironment, but it was the complete opposite. First, I was charged over $250 for what was supposed to be a "trial month," which felt extremely misleading. I canceled immediately after realizing how disappointing the experience was. The facility itself felt unsanitary and very poorly maintained. On top of that, the owner came across as extremely judgmental and unprofessional, which made the whole experience even worse. Also, calling this place a "gym" feels misleading. It's basically small sauna boxes where you try to exercise in extreme heat. Instead of feeling like a good workout, it felt uncomfortable and difficult to even breathe while trying to move. It's not motivating at all. The heat is so intense that it even fries your hair if you're not careful. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a real gym or a positive fitness environment.

Member since August 1, 2024…read more Pros: Reasonable price for 24/7 access. Decent variety of classes. Two restrooms with showers available. Cons: The studio and individual pods were frequently unclean, with hair and dust visible. The shower was more often dirty than clean. Most importantly, two critical contract terms were never disclosed at sign-up. First, you cannot cancel before completing five months, yet staff told me cancellation was possible at any time. Second, after one year and nine months of membership, when I submitted a cancellation request with a doctor's recommendation, I was informed that two additional months of payment are required regardless of whether you continue attending. Regarding the workout system itself: the videos offer three difficulty levels and often include form explanations, which is a plus. However, in roughly half the cases the instructor's verbal cues contradict what they are actually doing on screen. For example, instructions about parallel hips, spinal alignment, or proper squat depth are frequently ignored by the demonstrators themselves. Someone following visually without a background in yoga or fitness training would easily pick up incorrect form without realizing it. Poor alignment can ultimately cause more harm than the exercise does good.

This place couldn't provide us with the services that we paid for and was completely unresponsive…read moreto our attempts to contact them, both for setting up classes and then for getting a refund when they couldn't provide those classes. Total rip-off, and huge waste of time. I got a Groupon for lessons, which I was hoping to use for my wedding. We called the place, but only got a message saying to contact them via email. We emailed them to set up a reservation. NO RESPONSE for well over a week. When we did get a response, we were told that they couldn't get us in for nearly another month-- which was just a couple of days before our wedding. By then, there wouldn't be enough time to complete all the classes, not to mention how busy we would be with final wedding plans etc. We contacted the studio again to ask for a refund, since we clearly couldn't take the classes. NO RESPONSE. We finally had to contact Groupon and-- although they don't usually offer refunds-- they returned our money. But the studio did not, and we STILL have not heard back. My fiancee and I work 4 jobs between us, plus I'm a grad student. We live on a very limited budget with limited time. We just wanted something reasonably priced to teach us a few basic steps for our special day at a convenient time (before school started and my teaching job got going). We were unable to get dance lessons for our wedding, even at a different studio because this process took so long and we'd already put money into it.

Scheduling took a…read morelittle time, but that is probably because I'm not sure the owners have a staff assisting them; they seem to do it all themselves and are understandably busy. But still, I was gotten back to in a reasonable amount of time to schedule the first lesson. My husband and I were taught by Michael who promptly scheduled us for the next lesson at the end of the first one. Perfectly friendly and a wonderful teacher. My husband commented that Michael was a good combination between complementary as well as giving helpful critiques, which made him feel like he was doing well without having to worry about whether the teacher was going too easy on him. A wonderful experience and I'd love to stay involved with this organization after the Groupon is used up (which really, isn't that the point of Groupons at the end of the day?). :)
