Cody suggested a Skylift Riser for the patio overhang to fix the pooling problem and so I would never encounter a future issue with my roof. Prior to starting the project, they tarped over the area of concern with my roof until the weather improved to begin the project. Cody was super professional, walked me through options every step of the way, and gave practical/helpful advice. He went well beyond just replacing my roof and improving its integrity. He recommended trusted contractors to repair my damaged siding and repaint. I cannot recommend James Roofing enough. Also, price-wise James Roofing was super competitive.

Cody Schneider and his crew delivered on ALL aspects of the project. They began work on the day promised, cleaned up each day, respectfully responded to our questions, made helpful suggestions, and were flexible about adding extra work to our contract that we requested (for reasonable charges). Frankly, it was nerve wracking to choose a roofing contractor for such a big investment but fortunately we picked the perfect one.

Hugo and his team from Affordable Construction LLC have just completed extensive work on our house,…read moreincluding repairing the siding and fascia, replacing some trim, painting the exterior in three colors, and rebuilding our front steps. Hugo was very knowledgeable about a wide variety of construction, repair, and maintenance issues. He was easy to talk to and patient with our questions and suggestions, and he carefully explained the reasoning behind his recommendations. He provided a detailed written estimate at a reasonable price, and there were no surprises later. Hugo kept us well informed about when the crew would be here, supervised his team closely, and did many of the more difficult tasks himself. The entire team was friendly, took pride in their work, and put in extra time and effort to make sure every task was done properly. They also cleaned up the work area at the end of every workday. We were very pleased with their work from start to finish and would highly recommend Affordable Construction LLC to anyone looking for dependable, high-quality construction and repair work.

It was a very difficult job to handle, and they were AMAZING and exceeded our expectations. Our house has extremely high outside walls, and the siding was getting so weathered that holes were forming, along with some other issues. We were so happy with them that we again hired them in 2024 - this time to paint our entire house and update/fix areas as necessary. Again, they exceeded our expectations. There really doesn't seem to be anything they can't handle when it comes to construction and home improvement. It is so hard to find reliable help in these areas, but we will never need to search elsewhere, because we will always use Affordable Construction from here on out. Just ask for Hugo. This company is amazing.

My experience with Moon Roofing was outstanding from start to finish. I am 110% satisfied and…read morehighly recommend them. Even if you already have another roofer in mind, it's absolutely worth your time to get a quote from Moon Roofing for comparison. In April 2025, our offer on a house in South Salem was accepted. During the inspection, it was clear the roof needed to be replaced. Our real estate agent referred us to a roofer he knew, but I wanted a second opinion. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to reach out to Moon Roofing. From my first call, the experience was impressive. Ariana answered the phone right away. I explained our situation and the urgency, and she promised to follow up within a couple of hours. Less than an hour later, she let me know that Armando would be stopping by that evening to inspect the roof, and that I'd have a quote the next day. Sure enough, the quote arrived early the next morning. The roofer referred by our agent also came out and provided a quote. Both companies quoted the same product (IKO Dynasty), and their prices were competitive with each other. After we closed in June, we asked both companies to re-quote the project using a higher-end material--Malarkey Windsor architectural shingles. Moon Roofing's updated quote was less than the other roofer's updated quote. The Malarkey shingles were special order and had about a two-week lead time. Armando managed to get the product in and installed just under that timeframe. He also replaced sixteen sheets of plywood and installed a new skylight, all for a very reasonable additional cost. We are thrilled with the final result and so glad we chose Moon Roofing. The quality, service, and value exceeded our expectations.

The night before our appointment I emailed Lazarus the scope of work with photos, floorplan, and to confirm our appointment. The evening of the appointment our rental tenant informed me nobody showed up. That's a bummer. I get it everyone's busy. But trying to locate a good contractor SUCKS. To have a contractor simply not show up and not give you a call is unprofessional and waste of everyone's time. It's been a week and I haven't hear from Lazarus.

McGinnis Restoration and Construction were contracted to repair and restore an upstairs bathroom…read morethat had leaked into the downstairs bathroom causing damage in both. The drywall repair was horrible and did not match the rest of the room. The painters did not do a good job of matching the paint color nor the level of gloss. They came out a second time and did an even worse job of painting, not to mention that they painted halfway up other walls that were not damaged, and even into another room that was not involved. They got paint on the floors, the commodes, and light switches. I took photos and sent them to the project manager and he said he would send them out again, he even came by to look at it. The painters were "sick" the next time they were scheduled to come out, and when I reached out again, I was told they were way behind. They never returned. Additionally, we had another leak from the bathroom upstairs down the wall of the downstairs bathroom. Again, I took photos and sent them to the project manager. The plumber came by and cut a hole in the drywall and could not find a cause for the leak other than the fact that when the new tub was put in place, they did not put down any sort of sealant where the base of the tub should meet the floor. I contacted the project manager again. Our home was left in worse shape than the original leak.
