This shop seems to work well based off reference photos and one of the first things I was asked was if I had a photo I wanted to work off of. Seemed like other customers had photos ready as well. The woman cutting my hair was very nice and knew a good amount of English! I asked her for her recommendation, but my hair was a bit too short to style into something new, so she was very accommodating and gave me a trim like I wanted and told me to come back in two months to reassess where my hair is at to look at my options! My basic haircut ended up being $35 + tip. I think it's a good deal considering they shampooed me mid-cut. I'll definitely be back in two months time to give it another go, but I've loved my experience so far!

She texted him personally to make a Saturday afternoon appointment for me and sent pictures of the wolf-cut I desired. I arrived on time for my 2pm appointment and was greeted by Thanh and seated immediately. I showed him the pictures again. Then he asked me if I wanted to shampoo my hair, which I agreed to. Then we got straight to work. At the end of my cut, he made sure I liked the result, to which I asked for my bangs a bit shorted and he readily obliged. I paid $45 (excluding an additional tip) in cash, but I didn't inquire further if they also accept card or if there's an additional fee for paying by card. I looked around the salon for a menu of costs of services, which he said there wasn't one. No problem, I plan on coming back for haircuts only anyway which I know are $45! Otherwise, I'll text him personally asking for other services if I want them! All in all, I was in and out the door at 2:00 and 2:30 respectively, literally (I looked at the clock). I was so happy with my haircut, especially for the price AND quick in/out time. Thank you Thanh for your amazing work!!!

The energy is upbeat and fun, but what really sets them apart is how much they care about you. I most recently worked with Perla, who takes the time to understand your unique style, hair goals, and even your lifestyle to make sure your cut, color, or treatment is the perfect fit. It's not just a haircut here--it's a whole vibe. They always have exciting promos and deals going on, from surprise discounts to fun seasonal packages (hello, half-off color refreshes and blowout bundles!). It feels like they're always thinking of ways to treat their clients. I've officially made the switch--this is my salon now. I won't be going anywhere else. I personally go…read moreto her for my Korean style perms and cuts, but she also loves color if you're looking to get hair dyed. My hair is a bit difficult and time consuming to work with: it's thick in both the hair strands and the amount I have. My hair also absorbs chemicals more slowly, so any process done to it takes way longer than expected as well. I'm glad that MJ is willing to work with me and my hair type. It's recommended to make an appointment with MJ ahead of time. If you're looking for a specific style, I also suggest you message her first with pictures of what you would like, so she can prepare and work with you. I appreciate that she's honest with me about what will work and what she may have to change to help suit my face and needs. MJ's studio is small, clean, and cozy. She'll do her best to try to make sure you're comfortable during the appointment. She'll also give suggestions on how to take care of and style your hair if you got any chemical treatments done. I've noticed that her perming style is less damaging compared to other salons. My hair feels so much healthier. I've been going to her for a few years now.
