I cannot hold a tan to save my life. When exposed to the sun/tanning beds, my skin turns from a…read morepasty white color to bright red (google image of lobster for reference). It's not that I want to look like I live on a beach or anything, but a little more pigment in my skin adds a little radiance and makes me feel just a little more confident. I decided it was time to give spray tan a try. After arriving and selecting the plan I wanted to try, the attendant went through the costs. I noted the high tanning tax (understood that wasn't their fault, wasn't blaming them). The attendant was quick to say "You can thank Obama for that." Cool...glad we've brought your political thoughts into this one. I'm respectful everyone's beliefs, but especially in public places (where it's very unnecessary) it just seems better to keep them to ourselves. While I believe the comment was innocently motivated, it was also unnecessary and put a bad taste in my mouth. The facility was clean and aside from the one comment, the staff was friendly and professional. The services definitely feel overpriced, but I have nothing to compare them to and I am confident that they are relatively par for the course. I was pleased with the result of the spray tan. After it set in, I felt a little less pale and a little more confident. It doesn't take much for this to become a 4+ star review...just a little decorum. No need to make this experience as awkward as thanksgiving dinner with my family.

Even if there is nothing they can do in a situation, the way they handle it could be much more professional.

Went to a retreat spondored by Bom Dia and was very disappointed. The massages were the only…read moredecent part of this experience. The retreat was poorly organized and executed. When my concerns were brought up to the organizer, Adriana, I was met with a blank stare. Tried to follow up with her and she was not empathic and said I must have misunderstood what was being offered. The accommodations were not properly vetted (she had never been to the site beforethis retreat), were unhygienic (filthy every where from bathroom to common areas) did not have hiking trails or safe outdoor areas as advertised. The food was not what I was expecting at a "wellness" retreat, especially as I mentioned my friend was a vegetarian and does not eat cheese... .one meal was a charcuterie board and bag of lettuce. There was no one actually in charge of organizing meals, for breakfast someone put out the makings of smoothies, which we later learned we were to make and clean up our own smoothies or you could have prepackaged tasteless hardboiled eggs (absolutely disgusting) Aside from the accommodations and food. The "life-coaching" was sitting for hours while Tom wrote illegibly on a white board, which was not my idea of relaxing or wellness, as I attend meetings for work regularly and do not want to relive it on my weekends. Breakout sessions and discussion groups might have been better. The yoga was minimal, and I dont believe it was with a certified instructor, as she offered no modification, and there were several people with no yoga experience who needed instruction and got none. This was a waste of money and time.
