Just go up to the window, place your order, pay, they'll give you a buzzer and the pager will buzz when your food is ready for pickup at the same window you ordered from. The guys gave us regular fries instead of garlic Parmesan ones accidentally and they remedied it quickly. They even brought it out to where we were sitting. Now that's service! He showed up at the time promised (2 hours before service) to set up his equipment and as soon as service started, the pizzas kept coming out for 2 hours. As recommended, I also had some other food items for my guests (Green salad, pasta salad, fruit). Everyone loved the pizzas! It was really fun to watch Grant make the pizzas - it was entertainment for both the kids and the adults! We booked the Vespa Party, which included 4 types of pizzas (Margherita, Pepperoni, Cheese, Margh-a-Meata - which is a combination of the Margherita & Pepperoni Pizzas.) I understand that this was the least expensive package, but I still wish that there was more variety on the menu. Essentially, the pizzas in this package were made of all the same ingredients so everything just started tasting the same after a couple of slices. For $100 more, you can add two specialty pizzas to the menu which provides more variety for your guests. It would just be great if there was another pizza on the vespa menu that used different ingredients (sausage for example). And the only issue I had with the pizzas was that some were burnt on the bottom. And that burnt taste was extremely bitter and unpleasant. Overall, I would definitely recommend Pettola Pizza. When one is a true master at a craft, one must posses a level of confidence well above the average person because without this confidence, execution can be inconsistent. There was no inconsistency here. This pizza was phenomenal. Chef Bones described his pizza as "simple" because as he said, "simple is best." I couldn't agree more. His pizza transported me back to Pompeii outside of the ruins to a little cafe that served me one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The crust was more than just the crispy watery crust many west coasters drool over because it reminds them of New York crust. No, this crust was light yet flavorful, crispy yet pillowy soft, a perfect bed of starch to soak up the flavors of a perfectly cooked pizza. And if I may add, cooking a pizza perfectly is no easy feat. Underdone and you might be scooping your cheese out of the middle like soup, and if it's over cooked your crust begins to burn as well as all of your delicate ingredients. The sauce was delightful. Sauce in my opinion is the most difficult part to get right. If it's too bitter you're eating Dominos circa 1999, too sweet and you're eating DiGiornos. This sauce was incredibly well balanced and NOT overly seasoned, a very common mistake of many "authentic" Italian restaurants - All aboard the garlic train! - No thank you! Chef Bones makes his cheese from scratch and I'm pretty sure that even a six year old could discern the quality difference between his cheese from other pizzas. To me this was his signature on the pizza. It was so incredibly moist without being overly tangy, and so soft without being too stringy. People say they want to stretch their mozzarella apart and watch the stringy cheese look fresh. Why? I want cheese with all of that flavor that is melt in my mouth soft. This is what his hand made cheese did. The highest marks I can give. Of all the pizzas I've had In the United States, nothing gives me more joy than to say this was in my top 3; nestled with the likes of a perfectly cooked pizza from Pizzeria Mozza and a fresh out of the oven slice of cheese from Ben's in the south village of Manhattan. I worked with Brooke Kazebee, Director of Events, for about a month leading up to the event. Brooke was incredibly responsive, helpful, and accommodating as we made adjustments to the menu and guest count. She made the planning process easy and stress-free. On the day of the event, the Olive Wood team arrived early, giving them plenty of time to set up their ovens and prepare for service. All four team members were friendly, professional, and communicative throughout the event. And most importantly, the food was AMAZING! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how good the pizza was. We offered seven different pizza options, and every one was a hit.
